From many past experiences with the germantown preseason, everyone has seen how bartlett brings almost 30 or 40 people to the tournament. maybe not have happened this year, but from past experiences that is what happens. I know for a fact that houston has a smaller team than bartlett, and talk about not having any seniors? how many are over there at hhs? i believe there are 0 returning seniors and maybe 1 first year senior wrestler.

bartlett always does well at preseason mainly because of the fact that they bring in about 100 guys to wrestle 14 weight classes. thats how it has been in the past. no wonder they brought home 10 medals.

yeah.. like he can talk.. i share a room with that dirty little guy. i wouldnt take advice from him.ha

presonally i like the lotrimin AF. that works real well. it gets rid of worm in about 5 days. but i now have perscription grifluven. our entire team is on it now because we had an outbreak. its been working well.

coach holmes and coach delgado are two of the best guys out there. they work you hard and teach you lessons, not only on the mat, but in life. Thats what a true coach does to make a good wrestler. they keep you in line and keep you smart on the mat. I know other coaches around the area that also act the same. Germantown has put two coaches together to keep a good team also.

what happend to all the houston wrestlers?

well, i have always been a strong supporter of the bleeching ringowrm, but many times coaches dont like that idea. I used to cut my ringworm open first and then tape a bleeched cotton ball to it for like 30 minutes. it burns like crazy, but it leaves scars. coaches dont like the idea of bleech because it cna leave an open wound and cause infection and even spread to outside of the bleech. i still use that technique and it works well for me.

that may work, but i have notices that those websites arent directly related to the wrstling pages that many times, the coaches make. those websites show the wrestling through the school webstie and many schools have websites not directly on the school webpage.

nah no drag, but it should have only been a technical violation.. i dropped a forearm on the back of the guys head and his head bounced off the mat.. so he decided to come up and swing at me.. it was a 1 pt violation.. which we found in the rule book about 30 minutesa after being ejected. but they werent real referees.. but actually wrestlers from cumberland college.. coach swint was in a debate on another mat at the same time about another call for someone else on the team, but it took about 15 20 mintuea before the big decision.

oh im doing great in class not to worry at all.. 2 As and 3 Bs.. better than high school. hah i got you about that full tiem job thing.. my brother still has 3 years eligibility in NAIA though.. maybe hes interested in cumberland.

Well that is the question a lot of people ask.. i actually have acid reflux so its hard for me to keep food and liquids in after weigh ins and during wrestling, but drink pedialyte to restore lost electrolytes from cutting weight. eat some fruit( apple, orange, banana) before drinking anything though. this will stop you from guzzling liquids post weigh ins. also i loved to eat a bagel with cream cheese with a bottle of pedialyte. then grab maybe a powerbar. stay away from protien until after the first match becasue it takes too long to break the meat down. i noticed a lot of the same foods when i got to cumberland also. fruit, granola bars, water, pedialyte, powerbars, and turkey/ ham sandwiches for later on in the day. propell is also a better drink than gatorade becasue of the lower amounts of sugar.

We did well. we definately got the "most agressive" award having 3 of our wrestlers warned numerous times for over agressiveness.. at 174, Luke Borneman was ejected over a fluke that should have been counted as a technical violation(in the semis) both wrestlers were ejected because the guy from MCKendree stood up and swung. the other semis match was changed into the finals match. This match was with Jordan Powers of Cumberland University. he was also pulled in the middle of the match by coach because of the same reason. Also Daniel Crosby was warned for extra aggresiveness in his semis match from a guy swinging after that match. We qualified 3. Jordan Powers, Daniel Rosbottom, and Trey Meyrs. Crosby is inelligible till next semester

yeah the new rule is great. i have scored plenty of take downs with the one supporting point. Its also for NAIA rules also. There were a lot of people being run into the coaches chairs and into walls, which wont be a problem at a larger tournament, but many people were being run into coahes chairs int he corner and into tables. I saw a lot of extra points awarded with this rule and it makes you keep wrestling until the whistle. Its also great for those people that try to slide out of bounds while on their back becasue you can be pinned out of bounds.

is high school using the new rules that you only have to have 1 supporting point in bounds to finish a takedown or a pin

so i get back on this thing and want to check out the old region and see whats expected this year and i see teams that look nothing like last years. What was the cause of the change?

I just asked Justin Knox and he said abercrombie went to his school. I saw David wrestling this weekend at the Cumberland College (Kentucky) tournament. he was doing alright. He has definitely gained more experience than last year. he sounded like he was enjoying it also.

We are havign wrestle offs at the end of november.. i believe its around the 27 and 28.. our first dual meet is against Campbellsville College on the 30th

so coach.. we expecting a tough or young team this year? whats the word on brother martins team?

From what his coach said, he is looking to wrestle in college but he is waiting till after Senior Nationals to sign anywhere.
