  1. Alcoa wasn't all that good last year, but they haven't lost nearly anyone too. I think it will be a good game when they play Lipscomb. Maybe they haven't forgot about their 55-6 loss in the semis to them last year. Anything could happen.
  2. I was curious to where the top wrestlers in Tennessee went off to wrestle at. I've heard that some Bradley guys went to UNTC, but thats all. Who went where (Ex. Kyle James, Mike Marable, Bryant Blackman, Ty Cody, Jordan Leen, ect...)?

  4. I wrestled and lost to Knox in the semis last year 9-8. He's good and quick. I also defeated the Clarksville kid. I don't doubt they could meat up in the finals, but Knox will probably take it this year if he doesn't stall again like last year's finals.
  5. I couldn't agree more. I wrestled Chris in his last match as a high school senior, and it was painful for me to shake his hand as his coach carried him off the mat. He got my respect today, as well as anyone who was in that stadium.
  6. Is Calvin "for sure" not playing this Friday or was it really a broken ankle he recived?
  7. "Don't sell your birthright for a bowl of soup" - Glen McCadams (David Lipscomb)
  8. Blackmon for sure will be tough, along with Marable. An underdog from DL is Adam Valentine. I'm not sure if he can make the weight, but it'll be his final apperence this year.... The past 2 years, he has beaton 2 or 3 ofnthose who have placed in his class, so hopefully the brakets will be double elimination.
  9. I think Greenbriar has a solid team with a good back and tough defenders. It would please me to see them win, but I'm not sure if they can pull it off.
  10. easttnfootballexpert Posted on Nov 24 - 11:19 AM No team in the state has improved as much As Alcoa. They started slow but have grown with young talent. They are well coached and have gobs of speed at the skill positions. It seesms remember that in 2000 a Goodpasture was supposed to have an easy time with the Tornadoes and there is a state championship trophy sitting at Alcoa but it does not say Goodpasture it says Alcoa. This is a hungry bunch. Bye the way Catch54 if you knew you highschool football you would know there is no McHenry High School in this state. I have no desire to coach. Just to go watch football in its purest form. Played in high school stadiums around the beautiful Smoky Mountains....... To the "EXPERT", if you check the polls, you would see that in a little town in Pocotalico, West Virginia, there is in fact a coaching job available for girls football (powder-puff) legue. I would encourage you to persue a cereer in football since your predictions seem to be on the money ......Please, however, don't apply for a teaching job due to your lack of class. Thank you, and have a great day!
  11. "Lipscomb has to travel a long ways and the day after thanksgiving is going to find the Mustangs fat and happy and in for a long night. Alcoa's speed and athletes will be way to much." said easttnfootballexpert. There is a coaching job coming up eventually at McHenry high school easttnfootballEXPERT. I hope you would take advantage of your expert opinion and strategy and apply for the job. I agree with you on your every post that was wrong. I wish both teams good luck in a another 2A battle.
  12. No Doubt that Marable will be tough, but i seriously doubt he can make that weight again.....Best of luck
  13. CAK? where did they come from?? No way they'll win it.....DCA will prevail
  14. Burton Elrod (QB) - Lipscomb....he led them to their 2A state championship in 2002 as a sophmore, and will eventually do the same this year. Pat Turner will bring back his A-game next year as well (6'4, 200 lbs.). Also Austin Rodgers from Lipscomb, who as a junior ran a 4.4 40 yard dash. He has spped, mobility, endurence,ect.....
  15. Does anyone know who will probably be returning at 171 that would offer a good match at 171 or 189 this year in Division I? I know Mike Marable will be returning in Division II, but does anyone know if he can cut the weight or if he'll just go to 189 instead? Any returning medalists goinf to either 171 or 189?
