DAT, Interesting post. Sounds like the right girl got MVP. I think ALL the districts should limit their 1st team to 5 or 6 players maximum and give the 2nd team 5 players. All-district should be a select bunch (or the very best). Too many people want 2 to 4 players from every team. It shouldn't be the all "average player" team.

I'm not affiliated with Beech in anyway. I just see many games, including a few of the popes. I don't agree with your post. I have talked with several area coaches recently and they all say one of the two freshman should start and the other one should play more. I would start them both. This would help them in the future. Are you an official coach at pope or just a helper?

The pope would accept them with open arms.........I guarantee it.

What is Siegel's record and will they finish above .500? According to the Siegel faithful, this should have been their year. They now have a majority of Seniors and Juniors and this should be their breakout year. Will next year be any better when these Seniors are gone? Maybe Oakland and Riverdale will be down next year since they are losing some high profile Seniors.
