  1. Thank you for such a relative post.
  2. listen CYjacket, I have read your useless, pointless, redundant post for 3 days now and none of them make a bit of sense. Your point around page 3 about Matt Peardon looks like any other 1a running back is rediculous. How many tail backs has Coalfield faced with over 2,000 yards again? How many tail backs have you faced that have enough talent to hold the Chattanooga city rushing record? How many Mr. Football finalist do yall shut down on a regular basis again? And reoccuring point about Boyd playing a weak schedule is rediculous. Let's not forget no matter what the teams records are, 6 teams are 2a or higher and Boyd absolutley drilled every single one of them with the exception of Baylor. O and speaking of Baylor, you said boyd didn't "hang" with Baylor. I'm not sure what your idea of "hang" with is bc I believe Baylor will be the first ones to tell you that Boyd "hung" with them. And speaking of hanging with a team, let's talk about Coalfield getting beat by Midway 21-0. Do you think yall "hung" with them. I can't till Boyd drills coalfield. I mean getting to the 1a state championship 3 years in a row will be pretty cool, but having the satisfaction of you being wrong will be pretty close. I can't wait. Congradulations on making it this deep in the playoffs, but don't make plans on making it to your 2nd home, MTSU. And if I was you, I'd probably would save my money and just listen to the game from home. Have fun watching some of the most boring football ever next year when all the good teams( DCA, CPA, Boyd, JCS, USJ) are all gone.
  3. congrats to Soddy who's basketball program is back on track.
  4. Hixson will have to play Boyd twice after the football guys are back. Hixson and Boyd have never played in the regular season, i dont think, but have played the last few summers and it has always been a good, physical game. I'm looking foward to being at those games
  5. I follow Soddy Daisy basketball pretty well and I'm excited about the new coach replacing that demonic woman on the bench in years past. I hope yall have a good season and the Daisy Crazies go wild.
  6. McEwen has that 6-6 to 6-8, i forget the details, post player that is really good. I guess Boyd's hieght just didn't match up very well with them. Boyd matches up well with their 1a district and region, except the Gruthius' from CCS, but Boyd can out match everyone else on CCS, but McEwen was a good team with good work ethic, good luck to McEwen.
  7. Maybe, not for a fact, but maybe, but do you think he would have just as many yards if he played teams that actually have players in the secondary rather than people on a team? Nope. He might as well play against middle school teams bc some middle school teams could beat the teams that FC "killed"
  8. Peardon should be the 1a back of the year. If Boyd played the schedule that Friendship did than Peardon would probably have over 3,000 yards instead of over 2,000. Friendship plays in a weak region and scheduled weak non-region games, therefore, there was not much contest between Sweeney and the defensive secondary. Peardon played Gordon Lee 1a-Ga., Baylor-Div. 2, Howard-3a, East Ridge-4a, Goodpasture-2a, Walker Valley-3a. Clearly Boyd had a harder schedule and Peardon's yards came off of quality teams. Plus he broke the city rushing record that was held by the starting tail back at UT, Gerarld Riggs Jr.
  9. Not only does FC play in an easy region, they didnt schedule anyone good out of region. That will probably hurt them in this game, but the scheduling did turn out good for Lee Sweeney, who piled up a bunch of yards against push over teams.
  10. A weak region is the reason there is more than four or five games in a year. A school plays more teams outside their region than inside their region. You tried to make a good point, but Boyd's region is down this year and they still managed to play tough teams that are in higher classifications. This scheduling genious might have helped FC, but it's just too late tp schedule games now.
  11. If You think FC has a tougher schedule than Boyd's??Howard, Gordan Lee, Baylor, Walker Valley, East Ridge, and Goodpasture. That's a tough schedule. Goodpasture drilled Tyner and Tyner was one of the top teams in Chattanooga. Who would FC play that compares to Baylor?? Much less a 2a team that's still in the playoffs? Who has FC played that's in the playoffs in any classification? Monterey? Man, one decent team on your whole schedule. And what do you mean play teams their own size? Can you not see that 5 games came to schools in a higher classification and a Georgia 1a school. Boyd has about 300 kids in high school, if Boyd played 10 teams our their own size, then they'd have a schedule about as hard as Friendship Christians. We'll see after Friday. Peardon will prove himself, even if Lee Sweeney wins Mr. Football bc of a cupcake schedule, then Peardon will prove who Mr. Football should be.
  12. yeah, good pick. you must be 1in a ten trillion, bc that's how much of a chance Whitwell has of winning.
  13. Yeah I agree with Federal. Coach Green must not have expected his team to get past the first round of the playoffs, or else he wouldnt have said anything publically or to his kids about not having a shot against Boyd. I feel sorry for anyone who has to play under a coach that doesn't give his own players a chance. I think someone needs to tell Coach Wes Green to learn when to say what. He might need surgery to get his foot out of his mouth. I hope he complains when he gets blown out because he deserves a beating after his attacks on Boyd Buchanan, Coach Akins, and the Boyd football players.
  14. Yeah DB is the best team in 5a. good argument. Mabey you could say that if Boyd was in 5a. Bring up a valid argument next time.
  15. Boyd-Baylor was the best game I saw all year. Even though I wish Boyd would have come out on top, it was a well played, well coached game that both teams played well.
  16. It is obvious that you don't like Boyd. Why would you rank Red Bank higher than Boyd Buchanan? Times Free Press has Boyd at #3 and the first team in Hamilton county. Boyd's only lost 1 game and somehow they dropped 2 spots with a win since last week McCallie has lost 2, Red Bank has lost 4, you're beloved Owls blew it against Farragut last week for their second lost and yall are about to get rocked by DB. Maybe Ooltawah will drop a spot.
  17. why wouldn't you count Soddy and Ooltawah? they are in the Chattanooga area. Why don't you go on one of their polls and tell them they are aweful. Tell Dewayne Caldwell that he's not talented. Tell Gary Orr and Brandon Stewart that they are not good quarterbacks. Tell Quinton Brown, Erik Atchley, and Chris Ricketts that they are not talented at reciever. Tell Doodle Bivens he's untalented at linebacker. Believe it or not, the Chattanooga All City team will not be dominated by Boyd Buchanan and as for Tyner, it is a magnet school and get most of there players from their area.
  18. I don't think you want any part of Boyd Buchanan's football team. If Clay County makes it to the playoffs then their destiny will be the same as years past. As for running up the score, it wasn't as much as running up the score as for clay county was so bad it couldn't be helped.

    1A Playoffs

let us not forget that rankings don't really mean anything bc Boyd dropped from 2nd to 6th and that was after a game that Boyd won. Boyd beat East Ridge, a good 4a team, 32-28 and then dropped 4 spots.

    1A Playoffs

Boyd will come out on top no matter who they play. I think that CPA will be runner up, but maybe DCA will pull an upset in the playoffs. Boyd will probably win state again.
  21. hey Coalfielders, best of luck to you and congradulations on being ranked in the top 10, but if you make it far enough in the play-offs then you will have to play a highly favored, highly talented, highly powerful Boyd Buchanan team, at home most likely, who has been challenged and will be ready for any team in the state.
  22. If you think Ooltwah is five times better than Boyd than you just keep on believing that. If Ooltawah is 5 times better than Boyd than yall aught to beat East Ridge by 65 or more. Good Luck with that. I don't know why all yall Ooltawah people act like East Ridge was a push over and Boyd beat them and Boyd still committed 3 turnovers.
  23. I didn't suggest that grad would think they would blitz every play, grad suggested that they would blitz every play. Read it for yourself.
  24. You couldn't have made a more hypothetical comment if you would have tried. It's sad what you said. Do you actually think that all 3 linebackers would blitz every play?? Then Boyd would just throw quick slants and score. The point is we will never know who'd win between Ooltawah and Boyd, but you probably don't care. You've probably never played a down of football in your life if you think that any line are supposed to block all 3 linebackers, that might not even be the lines responsibility and besides they wouldn't "run them right through the O-line everytime" (blitz) anyway.
  25. Even if McCallie, Soddy, and Ooltawah did contain Peardon then it isn't because he's not good, it would be because Boyd's 1a line would be going up against some of the biggest lines in the area. If Peardon could run behind Ooltawah, Soddy, or McCallie's line then there is not a doubt that the other teams could contain him.
