I don't want this to seem like we are bashing a high school player. We are only putting this in perspective. Lets go back to another famous individual award that is voted on and very biased- 1997 Heisman Trophy award. I think the NFL record books will set it straight. Peyton Manning: NFL Hall of Famer, Charles Woodson: very good DB...period. 100 years from now Peyton will still be in the record books, Woodson will be a blimp on the radar. Fulton will leave a legacy, Greenbrier and Herndon will be a blimp on the radar. I hate that we are going back and forth about a high school player. I don't want this to be about a kid. It shouldn't be. The fact is the best players in middle TN would only be average in Region 2-3A. So, keep playing the David versus Goliath role. I am sure one day David will win. When that happens, I will not make excuses. No comments about bad fans, moral wins or supposed "great " players, just major props for the win. Until then, I will savour our victory and proclaim Fulton as "the best, bar none". No one west of Fulton can touch us.

Let me put into terms you can understand: If it is a contest of baling hay, Greenbrier will win If it is a contest of who has the most teeth, Fulton will win. If it is a contest of mopping up spills at the Piggly Wiggly, Greenbrier will win. If it is a contest of least body odor, Fulton will win. If it is a contest of who has the most 'coon dogs, Greenbrier will win. If it is a contest of who has running water in their homes, Fulton will win. Do you get my point? So, smoke your Lucky Strikes. Give your girlfriend some Kodiak dip. Put on your best BBQ stained wife beater and go to the big friday night barn dance. Because tomorrow Fulton and Greenbrier will duke it out on the field (not hay field). At the end of the game there is a winning team and a losing team. No hay balers, tobbaco workers, rock slingers or pimps. All stereotypes aside, the game is played and won on the field. When these teams play tomorrow we will see maroon against green; not country against city, not black against white. Just warrior against warrior. May the best team win!!!

You guys play the martyr role very well. It is hard to talk trash and be humble at the same time. I don't know much about your team, so I can't say we will beat you. I can say our team has a great front seven on defense, a great O-line, a punishing running game with a change of pace, and a killer return team. I like our chances in your "hole".

Congrats to the Falcons. You played with focus and intensity all year, even when you played teams that shouldn't be on the same field with you. I am very proud of this team. We finally brought home the gold ball. AE you get the honorary silver ball. You are ten times the team that covington is. But, this is Fulton's time to shine. Let's celebrate and then start focusing on two gold balls in a row. GO FALCONS!!

I believe about... ... ... Zero percent of what you said. 4.3's in the 40. Come on. Most high school football teams don't time the 40. The only way you would know how fast they are is if they ran track. Even if they were timed a 4.3 is crazy fast. If they were that fast and that strong they could go straight to the NFL after this season. Your obviuos stretching of the truth discredits all of the strength and speed stats you gave, even though some of the weight lifting marks are not unusual in high school.

I am sure in all of the above stated cases the "Home" team did this atrocious act. I have a news alert for you. GET OVER IT! I can see saving 5 or six places. Saving 12 seats is nuts. In Fulton's game against Macon county there was a girl I know that was saving several seats. It turns out she and all the people she was saving seats for are directly related to the coaching staff. She had to save the seats because the others were with the coaches in the locker room. They had other businees to attend to. All I have to say is get there early and save 20 seats for yourself.

Can you put a "no caps rule" into the coacht rulebook. It is rude to put posts in all caps. It is also very difficult to read. Thanks.

Great insite Mav. I agree with almost everything you said. AE probably was the better team. Fulton just wanted it more. I don't think AC was better than Fulton.

WIN OR LOSE Red Sorry dude. Macon county would NEVER beat AE or Fulton. It is just not possible. Macon County would have to have some kind of "act of God" to beat either of these teams. The best chance MC had was a nasty wet field and freezing temps. Ae would have beaten MC in those conditions by about 40. In my opinion AE is the best defense in the state. They also have the best run game in the state. If you can believe it, Fulton's O and D lines were man handled last week by AE. It was by sheer will that Fulton won.

I knew what you were talking about. I wouldn't doubt if they pulled the plug on it. They call it "home field advantage for a reason". Making noise to bother the opposing team should be more of an advantage for the home team. We earned home field advantage and it would be crazy to give it up like that. It is just part of the game.

One piece of advice. No caps. All caps means you are yelling. It is also very hard to read.

What happened to the train? It got derailed. Your statements are the most intellegent I have read from a MC fan. I thought Fulton was very accomodating to the MC fans. Thank God for the hot cocoa. Anyway, Fulton just had more horses than MC. You guys should be proud. On the inner city school thing; we have schools zoned off and the kids have no choice of where they go. It is kinda interesting. The area in knoxville that has the most football talent has been divided into three or four school zones. I know Fulton, AE and central are three of them. Central went deep in the playoffs and AE would have went to the state title game if not for Fulton. If all of the kids in that one area played for the same school it would be ugly. By no means does Fulton have all the talent in knoxville. Good game and good luck next year. Go Falcons.

Red head, I made the statement about Haley's comet after I saw distasteful signs, players jaw jackin', and fans taunting with shakers...it was a reference to the fact that some (and I have even referred to some of our over-the-top fans) of you not acting like you had tasted success in a while. I was a little over-zealous in making a generalization of your fan base. Knowing your coaching staff, you will always have a chance to compete!!! Have said this many times before...you guys showed alot of heart and determination getting to where you did...you should be proud!!! The sloppy field was MC's best friend last night. If they played on a dry field Fulton would have won by 45. You will see next week when Fulton plays on carpet. I am not saying we are going to blow anyone out. I am just saying you will see a part of Fulton that you didn't see friday night.
