  1. Who do you think will win the UT/UF game? Personally, and I am obviously biased, I think that UT can and will win this game...By 7. Schaeffer and Ainge, if they can keep their cool, will tear up Zook's D, and I think that, even though we have a weak secondary, our linebackers will contain the UF running game, and Chris Leak, and force him to make errant passes. Colquitt will play a huge role in this game, as well as Wilhoit, and I hope that the latter has been practicing, after missing that FG in the UNLV game. Remember, UF was going to have 2 games to fine tune their D, but now they will only have (possibly) 1, against Eastern Michigan, which is by, no stretch of the imagination, not even half as good as UNLV. Dorsey, for the Rebels, will probably be the fastest tailback we see this year, and if UF tries to copy his sucess, I think they will find a less favorable result.
  2. Bud Williams is coming along, despite a poor showing at the first meet. I heard that the meet on Sat. will be doubled up, because of the cancel today at Victor Ashe, for whatever reason.
  3. First of all, there are no 'sour grapes' between me and hicks. We used to be boys, so I don't wish him any harm or wrong, but I do think that he is struggling meeting the high expectations. Alcoa is well prepared for this game, as I am sure WB is too. Alcoa has been told that they are too small, not enough depth, choking in the clutch, etc. . . They are equally prepared to make a rebuttal to these remarks. Coach Reid is obviously savoring the chance to go TO his old field, and to knock off the old team. I don't know if there is as bad of feeling from WB to Reid as there are from Alcoa to Meadows, but I know that there are a few folks over at WB that Reid has been itchin to show up. Fiegler is ready to prove himself against a 5-A school. Warren, in his last primetime game (Maryville) did not get to play as well as he wanted, because of his calf injuries. He will readily be accepting the challenge against WB. One thing that I do know, is there that is still a lot of bad blood between Alcoa players and Ronald. Between the trash talking, and 'traitor' status he has taken among Alcoa players, especially the veteran ones, I think he will find a few hungry linebackers waiting for him. Alcoa by 14.

    Alcoa Vs. WB

After the disappointing performance Vs. Soddy Daisy the other night, I think that this game will be a little one sided, in favor of Alcoa. I say that we will win by 7. What are other's thoughts? Bart Hicks didn't look to special the other night either.
  5. MLReb...It was about the end of the first quarter.
  6. Listen here Strawhead... I was trying to be humble in defeat, but I don't appreciate people like you that try and get smart with me. I said that it was great. The lineman were not straight blocking on any of the run plays. I have dealt with it. I don't want to hear from smartass people like you. I guess I have finally found someone who is lower than Raider....who woulda thunk it?
  7. Also, I was wondering if FBEmeritus played at UT, because I am listening to John Ward call the Orange Bowl or the Sugar, I'm not sure, and I could have sworn he just caught a TD to tie it up 7-7 against Miami. Just let me know/.
  8. To everyone out there that has been waiting on me- RebelRaider, MHS, MRedRebels, TnGators, MLReb, and Tom, I apologize that I haven't gotten on here and taken my beating so far. I know what is in store for me and tom, because we honestly believed that we could win, and I think that if we lined up and played again today, that Alcoa could win. The No huddle, and pulling of the lineman every play was great. And Raider, if you really want someone to know who you are, quit giving vague descriptions ol' boy. I was all maroon, with the megaphone, and on the fence. If no one can find me after that, then they really do have a problem, because I was the only one like that. I believe Tom was an O but I don't exactly know, but once again that can't be to hard to find out. By the way Raider, I would watch what you say now, because we know who you are. One of your fellow Rebel fans gave away your identity, and you better be sure that you hide if you ever see Warren or Flashy or Alcoaboi or Tom or me coming your way. You can't hide behind that computer screen and bash every living Alcoa fan, and especially players, and expect for us to not find out who you are.
  9. Raider, I won't be making excuses, and never planned to. Maryville dominated the first half, although Alcoa still had 3 chances to make the game, a real game. Our defense was absolutely horrendous. Our play in the trenches was awful. Fiegler came out shaky, and remained so until well into the third quarter. Duck was stopped early, but kept trucking, until he found his rhythym. Lanxter had a big catch, and obviously a big return, but also dropped one that could have gone for 6 to potentially make it 12-10. You just can't win a ballgame with 2 first downs in a half. Maryville whooped us, but you know I'm already lookin forward to that Clinic bowl, and down the road to next years game at Goddard.
  10. Considering Lipscomb lost both lines, completely, I think we'll have to get some new tapes.
  11. Ya there are other people on our team.... Do names like Fiegler, Warren, Love, White, Avery, Miller, or Green come to mind? These are all extremely talented and important players that our team has to have performing at each one's best to win the game. Apparently at practice this week, coach has been trying out goin 2 deep instead of our key playesr playin both ways.
  12. You think that Alcoa doesn't have pride? You think that we don't body up for the game? I don't know what ya'll are implying. Alcoa is ready for this game. These Juniors have been waiting for this moment since they stepped onto the campus in 2002. Dustin Lindsey has been somber all day. School has been a joke today, between the mini pep rallies in the halls, and the various roll calls being sung out. I camped out on the field again last night, and while Maryville did get our bridge, they still didn't get our field or the duck pond because I ran 7 people off. Look for a awesome defensive matchup with huge offensive explosions. Alcoa by 3!
  13. Bryan Sommers - Alcoa...Made one of the most unbelieveable catches I have ever seen in high school.
  14. That was awesome... Probably the best, most intelligent thing I've read on Coacht. I like the part about the old janitor thumb
  15. Alcoa! I have had 8 locked personally! thumb
  16. Ya, I know what you mean... Being one of those old men now, You are gonna be gettin there about 4:30 with that lawn chair right? You are still yet to give me your prediction. I'm interested in what you think, because one minute you make it sound like Alcoa has a chance, the next you sound like we shouldn't even step on the field. We know what Rebel Raider thinks, but I'm lookin for an informed guess
  17. I think that we are better coached in conditioning and weights, but you wouldnt know anything about that before you posted, now would you?
  18. Haha sorry man... You would be surprised about Ping Pong... And I almost Dunked the other day, so gravity is workin in my favor.... You let them head hunters no its me I heard some good stuff about Mini you while I was readin an article...it was in some magazine, don't remember which... Is he going to be the favorite to start next year?
  19. Is Katlin still playin? I figured someone would answer that? How has Maryville's Practices been going?
  20. And how many fans actually follow them, besides parents?
  21. Dang David... I haven't been talkin smack to you. And for the record, I'm probably one of the most redneck, country kids at my school. And you know what, about the "TEAM" you were probably right. You don't know how bad I wish I would have played. But the doctor is workin on clearin me now, and I am gonna start workin out with my TEAM soon. The jump shot is comin around fine, thanks for your concern though. I figure I can beat you at Basketball, and Ping Pong.
  22. That's a little over the line. I dislike, but respect Maryville Athletics, but I have never, ever dissed your school. You know, as much as I don't like some administration you sent over here, I still think that we have an awesome school, and I'm sorry that we can't all be glitzy and glamorous like Maryville. The problem is people don't understand folks from Alcoa, because we are apparently not equal with everyone else in the county. I don't know raider...You tell me.
  23. Haha...Come on Mr Hunt... You remember the times that you used to kid me about my school. So you want to go with the under/over now? I'll take under thumb
  24. Come on now Mr. Ketchup (Not Heinz the other one) {Let's see if you figure that one out}.... Me and you go way back, I know you think that Alcoa isn't much of a school, but I'm not completely stupid. Is this a new formation or something?
