  1. I completely agree with you there Tom. I am embarrassed I didn't think of that first. FSU and Miami camps? Tell me about this.
  2. Pullin this poll out of the summer Archives. Already some decent debate on here.
  3. Ya I didn't know about that until I heard some of the things he ran during the offseason. I guess until the Carter game, I just thought he was strictly a pocket passer.
  4. Well that's about the best post I've seen from you Raider. That is all true, except I disagree with you on some points. I know that ya'll have some tremendous recievers, but with the exception of lanxter, we have a great secondary. I also think that when ya'll are on offense, and we are on defense, we will have a state championship caliber play. Our defense is at the top of its game, and apparently your offense is at theirs. Our D-Line is very experienced, big, and quick, and should match up block for block with your O-line.
  5. Ha well I don't see that happenin. Sorry bout your luck though. I would like to hear your honest thoughts on the football game, with no trash talk. Are you capable of that?
  6. Oh so you are ready to admit that you'll be callin me to apologize for thinking that Alcoa couldn't do it?
  7. You know, South Doyle wanted to quit with us, but our coaches came up with a compromise to go 7 minute quarters.
  8. I guess we'll be seeing after the game, huh? I expect to hear from you after we beat you Raider, and if we lose, You be sure you get hold of me, because I'm gonna be the first one to admit that I was a moron
  9. I went last night and bowled a 225
  10. I am embarrassed to admit it, but I run for Alcoa, and I know we play up in 2-A in every other sport, even though we are a 1-A school, but do we also in CC? I think that we will have a pretty decent squad this year, at least guys wise. We don't even have but 3 girls though.
  11. FBEmeritus Last year, when we said that our team was young, but talented, it was viewed as us making excuses for when we lose. Now, I am not saying that you are making excuses, I am just saying that that is how it was viewed last year. 04, 05, 06 will be the last chances for maybe 3 years where Alcoa will make a run at Maryville. This year & Next, I say that we will make a very serious run, and give Maryville a run for their money. As I have said, I believe that we will win by a field goal.
  12. Who will win the Maryville Alcoa game?
  13. The one time I will ever agree with Rebel Raider...The part I disagree with is in bold.
  14. Come on Turbo...Give yourself some credit...Plus, I know you got a prediction. People have to realize that our boys have been training for 2-3 years to play both ways. They have played both ways the whole time they have been in high school. They are in good enough shape to do it. Obviously it would be nicer to have players good enough on both sides of the ball to just play one way, but in a small school like ours, you have to make the most of what we have. MHS's D-line is extremely talented, but they will have a tough test against Alcoa's O-line. Our CB's are used to having to play big, because look at the recievers they cover in practice, Warren, Keller, Lanxter....All guys that are north of 6'1" Both the Dave Lipscomb and the Maryville games of last year are fresh in the minds ofour veteran players, and please believe that they won't forget to patch up the wounds of last year.
  15. Raider, You just can't stand knowing that there are people out there, who aren't alcoa fans, that still think we are gonna beat ya'll
  16. MLReb, I tried to give you call but you nor your boy picked up. Raider, I can guarantee you that Duck and Warren will not be tired for this game. It means a lot more to us than it does to ya'll apparently. Don't be anticpating a push-over for the Rebels.
  17. Funny thing is, that's what I'm thinking will decide it too. Predictions MLReb?
  18. First of All, I don't beilieve that we have stated that we will be crushing anyone. In fact, the only prediction that a Alcoa fan has made, was Tom's and that was 35-29. Certainly not a crushing. As for me, I think that this game will be even closer than that. I believe that we may be seeing a game that is decided late, late in the 4th quarter, coming out of tied game. I don't know how good of a kicker Maryville has, but no doubt he is at least decent. I do know that Alcoa has a very good kicker in Reed Guzzo, and that he has probably been one of the most improved over this past off-season. If it is tied up late in the 4th I am confident that Guzzo could deliver us. Obviously, Maryville has much more depth. They have many more people to choose from. I also know, regardless of what RebelRaider says, that we have more playmakers. In the trenches, Alcoa is extremely physical and talented, especially for their 'size' since apparently they are small. At the wideouts, what we lack in depth and size, we certainly more than make up for it in Speed, agility, and finesse. At QB, Maryville obviously has a fine QB in Cade, because everyone knows you can't be to shabby to go D-1. Fiegler is not much behind however. He has the power to get it wherever it needs to be, and the vision to see that opening. Where Fiegler has been criticized, is in his accuracy. He has came strides this past year to improve that. I'm thinking that Joei will have 225 yards in the air. At RB, I know that Maryville has tremendous backs. This is where I actually believe that Alcoa is better. Duck has been absolutely tremendous in any kind of play this year, Scrimmage, Jamboree, or vs. SD. Granted, I know that these kinds of competition will not begin to compare to Maryville, but I still believe that he will rush for 150 yards. What the game comes down to, is defense. Alex Green and Richeon Bell are lockdown corners. Logan Love is an excellent Safety. Our Linebackers corps of Dante Love, Dominique Brown, and Duck are solid. Our D-line, is without question, very talented. 3/4 of the D-Lineman are Solid D-1 prospects. Rae Sykes could be a force at the next two levels, as well as Brandon Warren. I expect this game to be closer than any in this rivalry in the past 5 years. Considering all of the facts, I see a mid-range scoring game, with a lot of turnovers both ways, but nevertheless a fundamentally sound game. Alcoa-31 Maryville-28

    Alcoa and SD

Ya I thought that it would have been about 70-0 if we wouldn't have put second string in in the 2nd quarter
  20. Guzzo, our kicker, has been lookin better this year. Last year he was pretty horrendous, but it looks like he could actually make some field goals this year.
  21. Tom, I heard Duck say he had 225
  22. Buddy... First of all you need to learn to take a joke. How many goal posts have you actually seen torn down in high school? Secondly, I did play football, and was going to keep playing, until they found out I have a tumor on my spine. So if you want me to keep pretending, I will do just that, but if you want, you can keep running your mouth. I never said adults were stupid, I just think it is wrong that they look down on 'kids'.
