  1. This would be a Great thing for the new Centennial Coach. He could then bring in his own people. I doubt anyone is going to be the OC anywhere, don't you? Centennial has been down for a LONG time. I do think that if they make the right hire they can win quickly. Brentwood is still good with its good coaching staff, but the rest of the county is average at best!
  2. "rec" I guess you are giving a hint. Are we saying that a last second person has decided this might be a good opportunity? Very interesting!! Should be a good job. Only have to get a little better and they can instantly compete. Brentwood is still good, but Franklin is not even close to what it used to be and Indy, Ravenwood, and Hillsboro are all capable of being beat. Good luck to Centennial.
  3. He is only doing what he was taught to do from his mentor! I agree with 2P. T-Mac only looking for a little love after an ugly finish to the season!
  4. I guess redskin is Smith's agent. As much as Gilligan moves around and looks for jobs I guess he just keeps a moving van parked out front of his house.
  5. yes and the warriors will continue to WIN and make you guys mad!
  6. You beat me to it. I was going to ask the same question. Maybe by spring break time???
  7. I seriously doubt that MBA or Ensworth need to worry about their "name". And NO I don't think that Alcoa/Maryville can't play with the big boys. They are part of the "Big Boys" of TN football.
  8. Not sure if Smyrna finished schedule or not, but I did hear that BGA vs. Smyrna would be week zero.
  9. I sure hate to defend MBA or any private school for that matter, but what would any team from outside of East TN have to gain by taking this offer? The school would lose a home game one year and then have to use most money given to them to drive up there for the game. What sense does that make other than to please us on Coach T? I'm sure MBA or Ensworth will find a home game to play. Now, if the game was played in a neutral site that was not long travel for both schools then it might make sense, but when one team has to drive 30 minutes or less and the other has to drive 3-4 hours I don't see how it is feasable for them to agree. Just my thoughts.
  10. Might be interesting, but if this is who I think you are referring to then he will do a GREAT job!
  11. Don't insult people with your statement. Columbia is a product of the T$$AA water-downed system. I'm sure Ensworth could hang with and beat anyone, but Columbia is a different story. I get sooooooooooooooooo tired of hearing the 5A schools rant and rave when most of them either had terrible records (look up Columbia when there was only 5 classes) or they were first or second round bow outs! Maryville is a different story as they have continued to win moving from 4A all the way to 6A. Columbia wins by a product of water down.
  12. I sure hope the T$$AA looks at how teams are placed in the playoffs. It was not right for Dickson County and Brighton to get home games in the 6A playoffs. They both beat ONE 6A team this year and after last night they both have still beaten ONE 6A team this year.
  13. Forgive me but I should have said 113 out of 114 in AAA. (5A and 6A combined) Besides your performance last night proved my point anyways. Thanks for the help.
  14. And you need to hire me to do your scheduling. Beat somebody besides Carver and MAHS!
  15. Since you want to talk about formulas then I will give you one also. Coach T stength of schedule: Brighton is 113 out of 114. As long as you can do math then you can realize that only one team had a lesser schedule than Brighton in all of 6A!
  16. I'm not a Brentwood fan that is for sure. Brighton lost to Northside by 30 and Dickson lost to Henry county by three or four scores as well. Once again you prove my point that it is a messed up system! thanks for the help. Two choices go back to 5 classes and regions or do the RIGHT thing and go back to 3 classes. Too many state champions and TOO much money goes to the T$$AA.

  18. I will second that quote! There is NO reason that Franklin should be playing at Oakland and Brentood playing at Smyrna. The system is not fair at all.
  19. I would really doubt Franklin wins by two touchdowns. They might win, but not by that margin.
  20. Last time I checked you were a 6A team also. Why don't you guys schedule Alcoa since you have such a love crush on them??????
  21. No brighton plays the District schedule it is given (4 games) so it must find 6 games. Brighton chooses to play 3 of those games from A and AA schools. Do not get on here (for your first post) and say that poor brighton plays whoever and whenever. Your coach chooses to play the lesser schedule. I bet MUS, Christian Brothers, or White station are looking for games instead of MAHS, Carver, and Ridgeway (at least ridgeway is a larger school though). Now I agree that Alcoa could beat almost all schools in state so I know classification doesn't make you good. But if we are going to have a system that overall record is main criteria then a point system should be in place. A win over Carver shouldn't be as weighed the same as a win over Ensworth. I'm sorry I have touched a nerve with you (since this is your first post and it is so LOOOOOOOOONG. Brighton won ONE 6A game and didn't even win it's own district and gets a HOME playoff game in the 6A playoffs. there is NO way you can explain that as fair. Dickson County did the same thing. They beat ONE 6A team and didn't win the district they are in and get teh same thing. If we are going to do this playoff plan then we should weigh wins differently.
  22. You people do not get my point. I could care less about the stats of your QB. The stat that I was refering to was W/L and how it is unfair for a system to be based solely on overall record and if so then a win vs. Memphis Academy Health Sciences should not weigh the same as a win vs. a 6A team. That is my whole point. Yes, it does matter. Home games are what we all look forward to in the playoffs and this system is rewarding two schools that played and won only one 6A game a home playoff game. THAT IS MY POINT! It is not to make fun of Brighton or Dickson County. Then the great TSSAA puts Dickson and Brighton on same side of their quad so if both of them win then one is guaranteed to be in Quarters. Now you explain to me that this is a good system when we reward playing lower classifications and easy scheduling!
  23. Thank you for explaining "The End of the Day"! In your explanation you just proved what I have been saying and you proved how the system is flawed! YOUR RECORD IS WHAT COUNTS! You are correct and once again thank you for proving that a WEAK schedule with only ONE, ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE 6A win gets you a home playoff game in the 6A brackets. AMAZING! Best of luck!
