in 97-98 goodpasture may have been in DII but im pretty sure in 95' they went to state in 2a cause that was the year we had a shot at state. and we beat goodpasture the first game of that season. who went on to win state i believe. back to the point, has tyner replaced that line they had last year?thats hard to imagine. and as for how tyner didnt beat lipscomb last year. well id have to say coaching i played against both of them and tyner was by far the most athletic team and were equally as agressive.the only thing that ever beat tyner was tyner.

for the past decade its been lipscomb and goodpasture from the east and a few different teams from the west. could we possibly see some new teams out of the east this year?right now i expect huntingdon to make it back unless they completely de-rail after last weeks loss but can somebody from the east knock out goodpasture or lipscomb?

del, you are as likely to walk out your front door right now and be hit by a stray bullet as you are to be struck by lightning or have a tornado come roaring down the field. obvioulsy if it is some crazy storm no you dont stand on the field the officials send the kids to the locker room and wait it out. but untill that point comes you play the game.as far as getting caught on a flooded road goes. if they arent playing friday night i guarantee about 80% of them will be out in town doing something thats just as likely to get them hurt or killed. for those DII schools somebody was talking about, surely those kids arent driving themselves 150 miles to a game. all that money tied up in those programs and they cant afford one of those nice grey hound busses?and im sure the lincoln navigators and ford excursions will be plenty heavy to keep them on the roads if they are. i dont think this weather is gonna be as bad as they are saying, it rarely is but if tssaa says no games this week fine by me. however it shouldnt be left up to the shcools cause your gonna have some screwed up schedules. if you worry about these things this much i would hate to have your life.live it man dont watch it go by. so del..... shut up, put on a poncho, watch your team play, and hope for a win! good luck friday night by the way. give me a little help here muffin.

i graduated last year and i didnt care if there was 5,000 in the stands or 5 and the kids playing now dont care either. they arent making a dime off the gate so let'em play.and as far as safety goes a little rain aint never hurt anybody so shut up, strap'em up and play the game.

ok is there a reason this thread is about last weeks game?give me some highlights from the lewis co. game.

riverdale, hendersonville,gallatin, portland,white house, lipscomb, goodpasture, dca, cpa, mba the list and some others.lots of tradition and lots of rings.

who ever gets put in the region with cowpasture, dca, fra and cpa is getting jobbed. are there any possible regions in the west or east that are gonna have 3 or 4 private shcools in with them? and if so is there any way t$$aa might be able to split those regions up.not a public side and a private side but i know cowpasture used to go west in the playoffs dont know about the others but can they not put 1 or 2 of those teams in another region?with those 4 in a region its gonna be nearly impossible for a public shcool to make the playoffs even if they beat all the other public shools in their region.unless they split the region and reserve 2 spots for public shools.guess it all goes back $$$$$.

i think this game will be a lot like last years which was one of the more memorable games ive ever palyed in.hopefully this game will have a different outcome.wish i could make it up to westmoreland to see this one.good luck to both teams. what ever happened with sharp?why didnt he go on to the next level?

i think theres more than size envolved in determining who starts.

if westmoreland shows up and plays as hard as they did friday itll be a good game. if not i dont know, there isnt a high level of skill at some positions but from what i saw friday night they are all playing hard and when you play harder then the other team that can make up for everything(unless your playing a private school). guess we'll find out friday.

is the game at milan or martin?

Are you sure about that Macon County-Station Camp score? I thought it ended up being much worse than that?

i agree sarah should have been awarded the mvpand im as mad at those coaches as anyone of you however she doesnt have to receive an "award" to know that she is a great basketball player and i hope she realizes shes had an outstanding career and thats all that matters.if you based how good you are on trophies and how many good things are said about you youd never be good enough.everybody, no matter how good you are can get "jobbed" on awards and have critics that think you arent as good as your said to be. none of it matters as long as you know you left it all on the field or the court.i really wish shed gotten the award she deserved but really how much is a $20 plack worth to most people?id rather have the memories and my friends.im proud to say sarah,kristy and lydia are some of mine.

yes he is the principles son and he's been one of my best friends for many years as has been there entire family. and im sure something will be done. the administration was standing right beside me.taylor.i didnt see it but i doubt it is what its been made out to be. hes a bit of a hot head but hes not as ignant (that was for you swanson) as those macon co. people. uncle stimpy i know catalyst hasnt had acces to a computer since the game was over he had something to do after the game and is probably just now waking up. as for contact2004........?

you guys played a great game. no doubt about that however i thought that one ref made a few questionable calls and one really bad no call at the end of the game. with 1.8 seconds left a gville player ran over two of our guys trying to get open and nothing was called.but like i said before on the other post im not making excuses we gave yall all you wanted. and setter the ap poll is a joke we realize we arent near as good as some teams in the state and we played you to a 3 point game. yes i know you own by 6 but that was after the technical and all that unnecesary crap but seriously if westmoreland and gordonsville are the best teams in the state, they should just start calling 1a basketball "the church league".in years past ive seen much better teams in 1a. im not sure what #21 did but that ref deserves whats coming to him.he's as bad as ive ever seen. im not just saying this cause we lost he called it poorly both ways just called some at worse times for us than he did yall.

gordonsville did play well, i was surprised they came back. westmoreland never let go of the lead after it was 2-2 until 6 minutes lefts in the 4th.i thought one ref made a few very poor calls but excuses get you no were. i think we gave gordansville all they wanted so ill settle for that right now.we still get one more shot,but that doesnt matter either its all about tournament time.
