  1. i hope Alcoa brings just as many students as they did last night. then was a great number and noise to hear. that was a pretty big student section for a game so far away. but we'll all find out how really good they are tonight at the championship, should be another great game with another great student section..from no one else but Alcoa!!
  2. i think this will be a very close game, probaly going down to the wire. i feel that Fulton may want to get a little revenge. but hey, we're in the region tournament, this could be won by anyone.
  3. people are not crowing Alcoa the champs that must be something you made up. if you haven't noticed that the past 3 gaves have been decided by 5 points of less, this game could go either way.
  4. Alcoa is bringing a lot of students and it should be wild there. i hope the student section will really make somr noise cause we all know they can. so if you see a wild student section at the ae-Alcoa...it won't be ae's..it will be the Alcoa tornadoes, so be ready!
  5. i agree, the marsh pit was very good against Fulton friday night at Fulton. They were rowdy and stood up the whole game while the home standing falcons students weren't even on their feet, there should be a good student section tomorrow night against ae.
  6. so we've got Alcoa vs. ae, and Fulton vs. Seymour. all teams having good wins last night. but we must move on. tomorrow night(thursday) all these teams will be playing at a spot for sub-state. who do you think will the games tomorrow night, and who will win friday night, it's looking to be a good night tomorrow.
  7. Justin Ridenour is playing varsity for Alcoa and he is the 2nd or 3rd man off the bench depends on who fouls. But he is getting to play a lot for the tough Alcoa team which is 23-5. And he dropped double digits in i believe 2 or 3 gamnes which is very good because he is playing on a team with 6 seniors and one ofd the best freshman in tenneseee. So i would say he is doing alright and will continure to play.
  8. I remember Justin Hicks and Justin Ridenour going at eachother last year in the regionals at Athens. Alcoa vs. Athens in the finals of the regionals. Ridenour dominated the first half but Hicks took over in the second half. I believe Ridenour missed a last second shot to send it into overtime and Hicks took over in the overtime. I believe Ridenour finished with 17 and Hicks finished with 20. This was one the best games i have ever seen.....and i got to see two future stars go at it. Does anyone remember that game?
  9. Alcoa ended up winning the game 73-42. it was a six point game at halftime but Alcoa blew it open in the second half. the championship game of the district is this friday-27...at Fulton..Alcoa and Fulton. come support Alcoa because they need a good crowd because it's like a home game for Fulton.
  10. i also agree about micah marsh. last year in his first year taking a young Alcoa team to sub-state and losing by one point, and this year they look to go far.
  11. give Seymour a lot of credit, then played really good at Alcoa. they played good defense and shot the three ball well. Alcoa did really good in coming down from once being down 10 points in the 3rd quarter. big win and needed win for Alcoa to stay in the race for district.
  12. all i have to say is who cares about kentucky. all you do is come on here and talk about kentucky and you hate on tennessee. well why the crap are you in this website anyways..it's coach t...get the picture. i guess kentucky can't have a website cause all they have to cheer for is basketball. that's all kentucky is good in and will ever be good in. tennessee is good is pretty much every sport. so quit hating on tennesee and go support your cats in some other website.
  13. the reason i didn't vote is because i've never heard of any of those kids. don't put who you think is the best in the state if your just going to choose people from your area.
  14. but you also have to realize that basketball is the only good thing kentucky is really good at. i mean in tennessee you have more things to cheer for, not just one sport.
  15. Alcoa does not play Fulton again, they've already beaten then twice, both really goog games
  16. do you guys think alcoa is good? and if so who are there best players?
  17. Loudon, Maryville and Alcoa have to be put up there for the best east TN freshman teams. Alcoa split wit maryville and loudon vice versa. Loudon is very talented but if u stop them inside u will win not too much size on that squad. Alcoa can''t shoot outside they have no outside shot. And maryville needs to have more then one scorer to be competitive. I think alcoa has the upper hand by a slight margain over maryville becuz they have better startin 5. Loudon is a very good team and is not far behind. I feel these teams will have some good battls over the next couple of years.
  18. hey L Towns Ballla? what did u think of alcoa's freshman team? and who where there best players? I feel Ae was very good and pushed the ball nice but didn't have much size down low but very athletic.
  19. Alcoa and maryville had another great one wensday night. With Justin Ridenour and Tyler Maples going at it again. I feel the so called "other ridenour" got the better end of the matchup tonight going 5-7 from three point land. SET SHOT hey it works against maryville and maryville can't shoot a lick.....they couldn't throw the ball into the ocean.....maples was bout 4-20 and the rest of the team was not far behind. I ain't giving the edge to alcoa either because besides jordan alcoa couldn't hit a three. Justin Ridenour used several jump stops (NOT WALKS) to penetrate the maryville defense and get several and ones. Rae was a force on the boards and Kyrus was dominate once again. Wit Justin and Kyrus that is a great one to much wit jordan and rae pickin up the slack. Maryville may have mor depth but it don't show....alcoa out played them and out hustled them no matter what anyone says. Maybe next year Rebs
  20. alcoa is a good team with wins over maryville and fulton and beat 2 good teams in alabama. but they will be tested this week especially with tonights game at alcoa against oak ridge.
  21. i have a good idea who i think, but i want to see what you guys think.
  22. well the biggest and nicest gym around has got to be alcoa. it can hold a ton of people and you even have tv's to watch while your eating your pizza. overall alcoa has the biggest gym around. the only reason people don't like it is because they are jealous of the size.
  23. alcoa has a pretty nice gym. the best by far around this area. it can seat somewhere from 2500-3000 and it's really nice. you should come and see it sometime.
