i think everyone should back off of sophmore tyler robinson's back a little bit. Yes he did drop 1 pass that was very catchable, but the other ones were underthrown. He layed his body out just to get his hands on the ball and help his quarterback out.Its true he is not an Aaron Douglas yet, but I think the kid has a great future ahead of him and if he stays motivated and humble which he is very humble (i talked to him after the game and he was very upset with himself for missing the balls thrown in the grass) he will be playing D1 and hopefully running through "The T." Good luck to both squads and bring back the gold balls!

i love how you all are mad about the 91 point game by alcoa but you werent even at the game. alcoa cut the game to 8 minute quarters in the second half and all they did was run the WHOLE game! some people are saying the alcoa players should of ran out of bounds and stuff like that but do you know how good if feels to be a freshman and score a touchdown, i mean that means a lot to me. so dont go off speaking bad about alcoas game when you werent even there and dont know the facts

Alcoa has a lot of talent coming back. I think that they will be there from the east. They go 12 deep this year.

i cant believe we are even talking about alcoa going up to 4a, there is no way, they dont have the numbers, they would be competitive, but thats really not even an option and the funny thing is alcoa is one of the smallest 2a schools around and yet they still are good year in and year out.

Does anyone have an injury report? I know that there are those banged up on both sides and wondered if any players have been ruled as being out of the game.

I would like to see a discussion about just football for this game, no trash stuff. I would like to see comments and thoughts on Maryville's defense versus Alcoa's offense. I feel that this will be a tremendous matchup of strength versus strength. Maryville has always been able to stop the run and play two deep. Will they be able to do that against Alcoa? If the safeties have to help in run support, the deep stuff opens up. How should both teams open in terms of agressiveness for these two units?

alcoa will not play south doyle,harriman,w.b.,heritage, or webb next year, but picked up fulton and also loudon and cak since both those teams moved to 2a. so right now alcoa has 2 open dates and could look to be traveling far for a game.

great article today in the paper by stefan cooper. I feel alcoa was treated very bad in this situation and just overall it informed the people of blount county about a lot of things

all I have to say about this is that alcoa and maryville are still playing and that will continue to be the biggest rivalry in the state. I do have one more thing to say and that is that everyone thinks that Alcoa plays such a weak schedule and they don't play anyone, well they are a 2A school, think about it they play who is in 2A ball. So everyone that thinks they don't play anybody look at the school size and say how are they competing with the bigger schools, and that should answer your question.

alcoa-maryville is always a huge game. both teams bring tons of fans and both teams are always good. it seems people from all over come to see this game.
