Is Ronnie Carter and the TSSAA coming to USJ to take the trophy back from the baseball program? If so then maybe the TSSAA needs to start checking out what the other schools are doing. Looks like it is time for USJ to go D-II. If they are going to let parents slide then why not go ahead and do the complete private thing and get teams in all sports to kick everyone's butt that keeps getting on here and putting the school down. The kids won the State and Congrads to them but the parents that couldn't pay the money knew what was happening and now the bad thing caught up with then. With all of the heat that USJ was in last year looks like there is somebody on the inside that is mad for whatever reason and it keeps the HEAT on the school. If USJ gets banned from sports for 4 to 10 years then USJ will be in big trouble to keep the doors open. The kids will start leaving to go to JCS or Trinity Christian or back to their County and playing f.or their local schools. Gibson Co. Milan, Haywood Co.,Lexington or even Parsons.

We players are young. Maybe the age of 10-12. I have found in good for them to play on teams only in our area. Limit the travel. But when they get to the age of 15 and up it is better to be on teams to get the college attention and get the pro scouts to see them. Not some local Tournment were only the parents come to. Perfect game Tournments are the best that we have been to. From Iowa all the way to Florida. So enjoy your child while they are young and don't make them do the travel thing if they don't want to.

I agree that Will plays with alot of heart and I only hope the best for him but D1, I don't think so. Needs alot better pop time and foot speed. He does have a heavy bat. As far as the Fall league stats go. If he wanted to be noticed by any schools he should of played Travel ball or a team that gets alot of attention not some fall league in Jackson that's only starting out. Just my thoughts.

I would like to answer this if I can. After seeing some of these guy last year and who they pitched against I would say today that Clifft/Crocker are the #1 and #2 guys in either order. Then J.P. or Baker. I heard today and checked it out that Clifft is playing for an Elite Ball Club out of Illinois. The Southern Illinois Bullets. If he is throwing anywere close to 88mph. then now I know why he's on a team like that. The Keck brothers from lexington are getting ready for the up coming baseball season. I hear that they have quit the basketball team are are working hard on Baseball. John and Billy. Both are strong players. John kills the baseball. I believe both pitch as well. Camden has finally gotten their team together and are young with limited pitchers. Should get stronger as the season rolls alone. Henry Co. lost several key players to graduation and will be looking at young players to step up their game for they can compete in their district. What is the deal with the (White) last name pitcher from Milan. Is he still out with the hurt leg? Right leg or left?

USJ will struggle this year and the only thing that will look good for them is using their new baseball building at their 7 home games. Liles is the last of the Jimmy Carey kids. Dyer will have to do it with the pine riders.

wes_c_addle, Which team do you play for or which team do you set on the pine for since you have seen so many teams play? Nelson and Gant are good pitchers so are the White's from Milan. I still say that USJ must use other pitchers this year for they won't be able to save either one to get easy wins like they have in the past. No Middletons or Scotts Hills on the schedule.... Dyer Co. and Lexington will make noise in AA. I hear that Lexington has some new players that have moved in from the coast. McKenzie can't rely only on Hayes. Huntingdon should be silent until they pick up a few wins and turn some heads. JCS should be strong with the short right field fence. Dresden and Halls will also looks good.

hackinbad, What a child.......Look winning comes and goes and for the last few years Huntingdon has the upper hand on Milan..... Donald has owned Milan and the rest of the Mustangs have stepped up and played like a team. The ref's didn't take it away from Milan. the players dropped the ball on the pass play and Huntingdon ran the ball up the middle for the win. milan had 3 time-outs and Huntingdon had to run the ball for Milan was going to call time-outs and get the ball back. Like I said last week after the game I was on the Milan sideline right beside the milan coaches and they didn't start yelling until Huntingdon took the lead on the pass play to Baker. Why didn't they start the yelling when they lined up on the line. Milan has all of those coaches .. One is the back up coaCH.. THE ONe THAT TELL PlayERS TO BACK UP ON THE SIDELINE. One is the defense coach. One is the offense coach. d-back coach. q-back coach and the Head coach (morris). someone had to be the count the player coach and Milan is looking for one of them and maybe you can be that one next year.

Milan had the game and then it happened. Wide open in the end zone. TD Huntingdon. The Coaches were going crazy yelling 12 men on the field for Huntingdon. If there was 12 men on the field why didn't the coaches from Milan start yelling about it after the Time-out. The defensive players got burnt and Donald played like a man amont young boys. Number #10 for Milan was very impressive and Milan didn't got to him enought. Huntingdon Line was tired and Milan was in control. I listened to most of the game with Obion Co. on the radio and I was under the impression that Colton Speed was to be in the game. What happened to him? Was he hurt or something? I talked to some people that said he didn't come out for the second half.

Has K-Train moved to Mckenzie or is he living with kin-folks. If he is living with kin-folks and if they haven't got it cleared thru the TSSAA he won't be playing ball and if he does and other school find out about the move . Mckenzie might have to take some forfeits.

Jackson will be a great place when the new 19 field travel ball complex is complete. There will be enough fields to play the entire tournament at one location, which would create an awesome atmosphere. The new fields in Jackson won't have baseball fields unless you want the boys to playing on 300' fields. The new fields only go up to 300'. Now there will be several softball fields at 200'. With Jackson State, Union, Pringles Park and Liberty High within only a couple of miles from each other. Now that the best places for the Baseball in Jackson. 4 good fields for baseball with softball at the new complex with Track at USJ and Tennis at the Jackson Tennis & fitness club. Jackson will be able to handle the Spring Fling that way. Throw in pro games at Pringles Park with the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx with all of the places to eat and new hotels on the way. Jackson will be putting a bid in for the Spring Fling once the new ballfields are built.
