  1. VERY WELL SAID!!! Now Coach I do wish everyone else would see that!!!! FOCUS ON WHAT YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER!!!!
  2. Well I hate to bust your bubble fcmama, but if a team really puts in their best effort the game shouldn't HAVE to come down to one call, and what's the real shame is when you make excuses for your team by saying it came down to that one call, it's as if you all never made any errors or did anything bad the whole game came down to that one call... yeah right....
  3. Yes district time is indeed around the corner, it is also a poor time to start coaching ugly, it is obvious that there is a very large gap between player and coach on that team and I hate for them because I personally believe that this is one of the better teams that Coffee has had in a while. What will next year look like??? The same exact thing if Coffee's coach (Scoggins or whoever) doesn't start playing TENNESSEE basketball or if they don't find them another coach...Coffee has had i believe 3 different coaches in the past four years, but if they would quit hiring quacks from here and there Coffee might get somewhere besides beat...
  4. yes Coffee beat them badly the first time around, something is going on with this Coffee County team, and the time is drawing nigh to when it will be to late to figure it out, I hope for the seniors on this team( however many there are) that they can make a late season turnaround. KEEP YOUR HEADS UP GIRLS!!
  5. I agree. Both teams played hard and clean for the most part. Keep your heads up Lady Raiders!!! Good post falconfan
  6. Probably won't be much of a game, heard that Coffee was going to empty the bench and save legs of starters, we'll see.
  7. Wasn't even a game, girls looked good in 2nd 3rd and 4th quarters after getting off to a slow start. Good Job Girls.
  8. I think there was equal amounts of flopping going on. The charge that was called on #54 early in the game was just rediculous, the girl had position I saw but she fell before the Coffee player even got there. So to say that there was alot of flopping going on is true but it happened on both ends and #50 for Columbia just flat out plays dirty basketball. Looked like she clocked #54 and #52 pretty good a couple of times, gotta give my team props for not playing that kind of ball... I will however admit that Columbia has one of the best coaches in Middle Tennessee no doubt, and wish her a lengthy career.
  9. Thats why this topic is about UNSUNG hereos 10W40.....
  10. I noticed a topic called "unsung heroes" on the boys' board thought I would start one for girls in 8AAA. I think last year everyone pretty much agreed that Snipes was Fullers shadow rider, so who are some kids that play gracefully and do great things in the shadows of their team starsin 8AAA??
  11. The officiating was absolutely horrible both ways, at one point a charge was called on #24(name?) of Coffee County and she pivoted and cleared out some space without throwing the elbows and all three of the girls that were guarding her fell at one time, Upperman did alot of flopping. The refs also called ALOT of charges that should have been blocking fouls. But still in the end the refs couldn't keep the better team from coming out on top. It was a big win but an even bigger one considering that Coffee traveled all the way down there. By the way Upperman had a nice gym and a nice looking playing floor thumb
  12. There was a player technical and a coach technical. I'm not sure what happened on either but the refs were ridiculous both ways, but it looks like Coffee was the team that overcame it! GOOD WIN LADY RAIDERS!!
  13. I haven't noticed but one freshman from Coffee seeing much playing time and that is Thompson, she will be ready to roll in another season thumb , and so will Sara Elam even though she isn't seeing that much time, if they get in the right match up you may even see Elam come off the bench before that sophomore that;s been playing...don't know her name though.
  14. Any predictions on this game?? How will these two teams match up? I say Coffee by 6
  15. Props to Lebanon on a phenomenal game. They stomped Coffee, I don't think Coffee County ever even got off of the bus. Nunley did well, it was the O line that stunk, each time Hibdon had barely anytime to get a pass off, and the boys of lebanon were obviously stronger and more battle tested that Coffee, Great Season Coffee, There's always next year for the underclassmen. thumb
  16. Well heck then if I thought my kid could get a scholarship for sitting the bench I guess I'd send her to Shelbyville too.....
  17. Chill maybe he didn't know her first name...sheesh.... I agree with diamond 2 if girls getting recruited would say no then this recruiting stuff wouldn't work, In Katrina Kelly's place she shouldn't have made that particular move, but from what I hear Crabtree cut her from the team before the 01-02 season and before her move from the program, Kelly then transferred after being cut, if you can't play at Coffee can you play at Shelbyville??Just an interesting observation to me..Maybe it would have been in her best interest to go to someplace like Cannon or Tullahoma.. in Almader's case, I guess it's just a judgement call you have to make, but if you are average where you're at why go to somewhere where you will seem to become less than average OR if you're great where you're at why move and take the chance of having to sit?? Because my say is that you take that chance anytime you transfer.
  18. It doesn't matter whether Shelbyville recruits or doesnt recruit, all the people that complain about it are the ones who don't beat Shelbyville......I however am not a Shelbyville fan, but they have been beat and they will be beat again....however if they were recruiting* hypethetically speaking* do you really think TSSAA would put a stop to it?? Think about all the National attention they bring to themselves and to the TSSAA, why would they shoot themselves in the foot and cut off thier own national press opportunities?????
  19. I think that most all of the teams in 8AAA have alot of talent returning...it should be an interesting year next year.
  20. good post playball
  21. No kidding, that may be so, but it doesn't have to be said, after what I saw in the district finals at Coffee County, it seems that Shelbyville has plenty of help getting where they want to go.... Let them get in a tight game sometime with fair refs, they might not be so hot then....I get sick of hearing people talk about teams not having a chance against them, CLASS is NOT saying things such as that...
  22. I agree, that is entirely distasteful, all of those girls worked hard for that, even the Shelbyville girls, something needs to be done about the cheering section at CC, all the yelling about the game, like over a bad call, or when someone shoots an airball or something, is all in the fun, but the personal comments and cuts have got to go, ESPECIALLY during the girls game, because it's different with girls. Also those kids are very disrespectful towards the refs, yelling in their ears with the megaphones they also are way to close to the court
  23. I think Kim made 3rd all district team, and definately deserved better, She is more than definately this teams leader, motivator, and common sense, there have been plenty of games where she has kept all of their heads on straight, there will be a large hole in leadership when Kim leaves next year that will be hard to fill but on the same token I think it can be done as they have a very strong Junior class.
  24. Don't feel sorry for them feel sorry for who has to have a battle with them they are playing well right now, don't discredit what they can actually do on any given night....
  25. WOO HOO LIONETTES SHOT OUT TO MY BUDS KIM AND FELICIA!!!!
