I know that we are placed by school population, that is why I mentioned our freshmen being included in our school population, but not even being at our school. I think this is done because we are one of the few remaining high schools that serve 10-12th graders only. However, freshmen do play on several other sports teams at our high school. Don't understand. I also think our team suffers because we only have our players for 3 years compared to the 4 years at other schools. That one year makes a HUGE difference. We also have a fairly small football team when you consider numbers. It is so intimidating to see the opponent line up and take up the entire sideline on the other side of the field.

Would LOVE for Lincoln County to go down to 5A. Our freshman are included in our population, but they are at their own school with their own football team. They don't even play on the high school football team. It consists solely of 10-12th graders.... This is especially detrimental to us because we are one of the smallest schools in 6A and there is not a population cap on this classification. We can play schools with 3x the population we have. boo!

Seriously??? I am by no means a "hater". I am just simply stating a fact. I sure do hope the Trojans show more sportsmanship on the field than you, as a fan, are representing here. I am a strong supporter of high school football in our great state. I was simply stating that you would need good luck next week facing a VERY good Riverdale team. Yes, we lost last night. TRUST me, I am fully aware of that. Our season is over. If the Trojans don't step it up on SO many different levels, your season will end next Friday night. Once again....Good luck next week. Held my tongue long enough. No, Lincoln County did not end it's regular season as a winning season. Yes, we were 5-5. HOWEVER, if you look at our schedule we have one of the toughest in the state considering the caliber of teams (and their ranking) we played the first half of the season. Am VERY proud of our fine, young men though for not hanging their heads, as many teams would do, and winning their last five games. No, we do NOT have any D-I prospects, BUT we do have an excellent bunch of players who suit up and give it their all every week. I do not believe that it will be a blow out when the clock ends, but I do believe it will be a good game. I hope it is a fun, exciting, injury free game with excellent sportsmanship displayed on both sides of the ball. With that being said.......GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Mr. Donkey, looks like I will be making the trek to the Boro after all and not on my tractor nor via the Chestnut Rigde. I will be traveling through Flat Creek from Lynchburg and I definitely will NOT be wearing white. I am there to support the Falcons regardless of the outcome as any true fan would. Oh yeah, GO FALCONS!!!!!

The Falcons have some athletes, it's just a matter of everything falling into place. Blackman, though also has some athletes, especially a Mr. Mathers. We will definitely score on them. Would love for it to be shootout where the final score is decided by who has the last possession. Don't know if I will be able to make the trek to the Boro or not, but if you do, PLEASE eat one of those wonderful hot dogs for me!

You do realize that only district games determine how they place within the district? With that being said, do you still think Lincoln Co. will place 4th? They have one of the toughest schedules in the state and the toughest within the district, but i think they will finish higher than 4th.

Lincoln County is one of the smallest 5A teams in the state. We barely qualify for this classfication which is based on student population. Coach Thompson is a wonderful coach who enjoys competitive football. Yes we did lose last night, but it was not a region game.

To answer your question, Lincoln County High School resides in Fayetteville, TN. We are a small town with an exceptionally devoted football following. No, we might not have won state this year, but we are still very proud of our Falcons who were able to have an undefeated regular season. These young men busted their tails every Friday night. Lincoln County is very rich in football tradition and continues to support their football program year after year. I also believe that middle tennesse has the toughest teams in the state. Regardless of tonight's big outcome, there is not another region in the state that continues to provide year after year the caliber of players that middle tennessee does. Yes, the other two regions do have great teams as well, just not the shear number as middle tennessee. I do respect Riverdale, but due to our loss a few weeks ago, I am going to have to hope Germantown wins tonight.
