Frankly, since all the other 7AA fans seem to be very excited about the challenge we are ignoring you. Opinions are for message boards and you have a right to express yours, but the vast majority of the great roundball fans of the Upper Cumberland & NW Tennessee want to see some games between the two districts. Opinions can resurrect once the games have been played but try to support the girls in what can be a great thing for the schools in both areas.

I have lost my notes and can't find on the TSSAA website when the Board of Control is to meet and set districts/regions. I know it was sometime just before basketball was to start. Anyone know that date for sure?

Been meaning to say thanks for the "shout out" about the upcoming basketball season my Eagle friend. Be sure and mark down the 20th for the 13AA/7AA Challenge at Westview. Lady Rebels & Upperman should be a dandy.

Lake County has only 3 seniors on the roster at all so they will return practically intact. As far as the powerhouse days, I can't believe you didn't include the rumors about the 20 year olds and the ones they'd bring in from the prison on Friday nights! Lake County has been accused of using illegal players anytime they have success. A small school will go through periods where they have both talent and good coaching. That happened in the 70's-mid 90's and is resurfacing now. Give credit where credit is due.

Like Robin, I thank you for the compliment and Vic has no K for future reference. Hope you've enjoyed our first year of The Pre-Game Meal. I also want to thank Bill Haney for being a "trailblazer" for High School sports in West Tennessee. He has done a great deal for high school athletics statewide over the years, witness his induction into the TSSAA Hall of Fame. He has meant a lot to me personally over the years as well. I would say this about whether announcers are "Good" or "Bad". That can be a matter of opinion or it can be obvious in the quality. My measuring stick is how genuinely passionate they are for what they're doing and who they're promoting. That can overcome some other problems.

I think I can speak for most all of the West Tennessee fans that we are really stoked about you guys coming to Martin. There is no question that your area of the state has great girls basketball and those who have never seen any of your programs should be sure and be at Westview on November 20th. What a way to begin a season!!!!!!!Can't wait!!!!!!! Puke Bags will be available at the concession stand.

After looking at the map,IMO the best 7-7 split would be Region 7-JCS,TCA, Fay. Acad, Middleton, Manassas, Halls, & West Carroll Region 8-Lake Co, S. Fulton, Union City, Greenfield, Gleason, Bruceton, McKenzie Probably won't happen this way but this follows a North-South split.

USJ is moving to 2A, McKenzie & Union City will move to 1A but not Trenton. Final alignments will be made next month. Look at the mapping link from TSSAA to make your predictions.
