Tonight we have one of those matchups we look for, strong guard play and good skilled post players. Does either team really have an advantage? Corey Payne and Jamie Hackler need to have solid games tonight and Ellery Harvest needs to stay in the post if the game is tied up........... Well I hope Blakely, Manning, Jennings, and Roan drop 40 on.............. The playstation games they will be playing for the next few months. CosbyEagle, support your team and quit whinning. Hackler has a little something called heart, sorry that you have to get on a kid for getting pumped up. I mean all he did was put in 8 and shut your big man down, are you coming to the game tomorrow? That is a long trip for someone to come and watch the team play that has ended your season 2 years in a row......... Go Tigers!!!!!

With 1.5 seconds left to play on Tuesday night the Tigers were trailing by 1. There was only one person who was going to take this shot and it was Corey Payne, or so we thought. The ball came inbounds and in a blink of an eye Harvest had the ball through the hoop...(Thanks to some good clock management as some people think) But the Tigers lived to play another day and today was a good day for a Rockwood fan....... Tied at 37 Cosby missed a free throw with about 15 seconds left and Corey payne had the ball. The Eagles guarded Payne closely and forced a bad shot, but Ellery was there to snatch the board and put it back up as time expired........... Mr. Clutch: Ellery Harvest Go Tigers!!!!! Who do you think deserves the award?

Cowboy you said it........ The devils were competititve if my boy Will was on, just ask Oneida about the District Tourney....... But they are both gone and we will concentrate on the task at hand...... The Cosby Eagles, good luck guys at least you have the support of Harriman and their fans, hope they have fun watching the game or listening to it on the radio........

Well lets give a hand to Captain Obvious, of course any team would be mad to have their season end like that. You sound like John Madden stating what everyone already knows. On the other hand you bring your air horn and stop watch and lets how big of a redneck you are........With that being said im sure you will pull for the Eagles since you want to watch Rockwood whine. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Well here we are again, it seems like every year we have to deal with those Eagles. Cosby is probably the favorite coming in due to the small floor, and their ability to light it up from the outside. The Tigers are probably the more prepared team, being a former player, i know that Coach K. has got them scouted well and will have the right defender on the right guy. I know that the Tigers live for these moments of being the under dogs and usually play well. Jamie Hackler and Corey Payne need to get going early if Rockwood is going to win. Ellery Harvest and Zach Peddicord will play defense and make it difficult for Cosby to get into rythm. David Butler is probably the most under-rated starter in the Region, he will have a good night if forgotten about. If Billy Moffit settles down and plays his game then he will have success, whether it be beating the press or just running the team. The Tigers are an all around team and will play tough tomorrow night ................... Rockwood by 7

The Tigers had the opportunity that many of us wish we had. Coach K is a great coach and really knows what he is talking about and puts things in well. Davis was sort of lost in the first half, but that is only because he was being swormed by Lion defenders. He was never open to get a chance, when he got the ball one on one he put it thru the hoop. Rockwood didnt bust, they just met their match. That half court trap was the best i have ever seen. We'll put it like this, the game was Tennessee vs. Kentucky. UT has a chance, but not if UK is on their game. Thats what happened, we came out flat and CPA was on a high. No coaching can help that.

CPA isnt overrated and the Tigers knew that going up there. All i said was that the Tigers were underrated, i know that they didnt show thier true colors today and many CPA fans are probably wondering how the Tigers got so far. Today had to be the worst game that Rockwood has played this year. And as far as Rockwood fans being sore losers, i believe that if you look around CoachT that you will see Rockwood giving support and congratulating CPA, but i guess some people are really oblivious some things. But if you want us to come up there and bow down to you, you have another thing coming. We hate to lose, WE REALLY HATE TO LOSE. But since we did we will go on and support the team that has knocked us out. But can someone answer me one question? Take Sikes away from CPA and tell me what happens to them?

Was the bottle really obstructing your view, or were you looking for a reason not to watch the second half? After halftime i wished that i had a bottle in my way, I had the luxury of a huge sign being held by a lil kid so i got to see a lot nothing as well. But i dont guess i missed much of anything. Oh well, good luck to CPA and i hope that your team (Sikes) plays like that thru out the tourney.

Congrats to CPA. They are a good team and Travis Sikes is for real. Rockwood didnt play their A-game today, but had a great season and let everyone come along for the ride. Good luck to CPA, I have to rout for the team that put us out. You all are a class act, best of luck throughtout the tourney.

Rockwood or Halls. Rockwood i have been routing on the boys this far, and i wont stop now. But look out for Halls, they have a chance at pulling some upsets as well

CoasterBoarder, or should i say Miss Cleo? Who are you to say the game is already over, i havent heard the first whistle or the fat lady singing. You need to look at the Rockwood players and staff, both have been awaiting this game for many years. The Tigers do have alot of fan support on here and rightfully so. They play hard tough nosed defense and aggressive offense. They can press, and will press, i know Coach K like the back of my hand. Talk to me 5 mins before the game and ill let you know what will happen throughout the course of the game. Rockwood is a legitmate threat to anyone we play against. But since you all are so confident that the game wont be close, go ahead and overlook us. Then tell us how the bus ride home goes. GO TIGERS!

Rockwood taking home a victory in the first round isnt that far fetched. What does CPA know about our team? Rockwood is a very capable and senior led team that have faced adversity before. These seniors started their careers as a 5-21 team and now have done a 180* turn around. The kids are ready to play for something bigger than a District or Region title and will compete to the fullest of thier ability. If you have looked at the picture on here, you know that Rockwood isnt a small team by any means. We have 4 players over the 6' mark and very good wings who dont get rattled. The game should be a great one if both teams come to play. I hope that the favored CPA does cause these kids have been waiting for this game for 4 yrs. and arent going to let it slip away. I hope that the game is worth the price of admission and gas to see it. Good luck to both teams and may the refs not decide the outcome. GO TIGERS!

I am very proud of our boys for getting this far. It just seems like they stacked everything against us. We are the underdog again, and thats the way we like it. I personally dont care if they bring UT's mens team there to play, (Not that it would be much of a contest) It is just as if no one thinks that we have a chace to pull of a major upset, which is what we have done all year according to the "experts". Look, if the Tigers want to make a statement they have a perfect opportunity ahead of them on Wed. at 10:30. I think that the boys will respond accordingly and turn some heads. We have 5,000 people in our town and i expect a few more than that to be there supporting. The Tigers are just getting pshed aside and i dont see it happening that way. Respect is always earned, i inderstand that, but havent they done that? Good luck Tigers, apparently your gonna need it.

The Rockwood Tigers are seriously being over-looked by everyone, except the Tiger Nation. CPA is getting so much hype, but why not Rockwood? Does anyone on here really know anything about the Tigers? And if Rockwood doesnt stand a chance then why are they there? Im not trying to take anything away from CPA they have to have a great team to get this far, but why is there no respect for the Tigers? All i have read on here is how people are ready for the tigers to be one and done. But wasnt that the way it was suppose to be in the region too? I thought that Harriman and Cosby were suppse to here? (Both teams had great years) I dont think that i will understand why there is no respect. Lets hear some of the experts comments on this.

The fans from Rockwood are picking up the pace and moving out to the boro for a 3 nite stay. CPA vs. Rockwood, or should i say the #1 vs. some podunk town in East Tennessee? Boys no one wants you to win, so come back here and quit. That way you make everyone happy. Our boys wont go down without a fight i can assure you of that. We may be a hick town that doesnt deserve to be there, but we love the underdog role. We were the underdog all thru the regions on our home court, and to win a sub-state game was just un heard of. But we did it and did it our way. So when the game is played in the A.M. hours on Wed. ill be there to see the Tennessee Hoosiers come up with an improbable win.

There you go dissing our Tigers again. I have heard and watched Halls a few times this year. They have a good team, but the Rockwod Tigers are the best team in the tourney. They have all the intangibles that makes a team great. The onlyt thing that they lack is chance. Well we got it now and are prepared to take full advantage of it. Rockwood over CPA by 6.

Brian Reed is by far the most under-rated player in the state. A four year starter at point guard, who has a sweet stroke and the poise that he should. He has led his team to a State Tournament appearence and was almost there last year. The birth ends a 28 yr. drought by the Rockwood Tigers. He is the heart and soul of his team, with out him the Tigers dont get so far.

Well if there is one team in the state woh wants that task. it is the Rockwood Tigers, with the 11 kids we play and the defensive guru that is Coach K. D. J. Allen, Matt Goddard, Ellory Harvest and Bryson Pryor, these four will be up to the challenge of stopping those kids. Kent Black was held to 9, and Adam Kreis was held to 2 (free throws) both are known for their 3- point shooting but couldnt do anything agaonst the Tigers D. CPA has to have a good team to make it this far, but everyone is counting our boys out already. NO NO NO, never underestimate an opponet. We have size and strength, quickness and agility. We play tough D, and aggressive O. We have a team led by 6 seniors and 3 juniors. Now can someone tell me where our downside is? Good luck to the teams, and may the refs not decide the outcome of any games.

The Rockwood and CPA game sounds to be the game to watch. Im a Tiger fan and former player. Coach K has been waiting for this game his whole life and if the the Tigers go down, it wont be because they are ill-prepared. CPA sends out 5 kids and thats it from what i understand. The Tigers never seem to get tired and have a variety of players that can handle the pressure of anyone they come up against. Thomas Davis is finally starting to live up to the hype that was surrounding him as a freshman. He is a four year starter and the rest of the starters have played almost as much as he has. Brian Reed is the most under-rated player in the state. He will lead his team to a victory and the first ever state champinship trophy for Rockwood High School Basketball.
