  1. Brighton and Munford are the same team. They have co-oped the school's teams together for the past several years. In the last two years they have switched which school's name was on the team. This has probably led to the confussion. I believe Brighton is the correct team name this year.
  2. Daniel worked very, very hard to get himself down to 91 the right way for Fargo last year... and all on his won accord. I know it was a lot of getting up early and putting in the 3 mile runs for weeks before and the strict diet for weeks. He did things the right way and it paid off. I know what he weighs and I don't believe his weight is going to be one bit of an issue for him come time for state. Oh and it is Baucke not Baulke. I would think fewer people would miss that one since his brother has been around the HS ranks for a few years now as well. Major congratulaitons go out to Manley for winning the McCallie. That is a tough task. Baucke also won a very tough tournament this past weekend... the Cape Girardeau Invite in MO. You can reference the post by papabear on how CBHS did overall.
  3. Mrs. Hanson, please ignore him. He is a loud-mouthed kid who needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut and how to keep a better book because he is even worse at that!
  4. Blanket statement coming but I think you have to be a little more than just lucky to beat Franklin.
  5. That kid was mentioned by Olympian 89 in the previous post. His name is Darius Williams (DeDe). He has been wrestling at 171 this season but who knows where he certified and what he and his coach have planned. But as of his current results no Mr. Waddel will not get a rematch.
  6. If you check the TWF site Matman's rankings 4 are available. There is a link at the bottom of his fifth rankings.
  7. Sheesh, You two are awful! Jose, I didn't know that you were already signed up for your student teaching. That is fantastic! Congratulations. You are one step closer to being where you wanted to be.
  8. Same reply as before... he was not referring to you... he was referring to balsoccer22
  9. Jim, If you show up I will cover ya at the concession stand (at least the first trip... I know how you are ). I think it will contain several matches worth seeing that night.
  10. Jose, Thanks for the vote. I do indeed think it will be an interesting match. It will be at SBA on Thursday January 11th with weigh-ins at 5:00 and wrestling at 6:00. Will be a tri-meet with SBA / MUS / Germantown. Should be a good night.
  11. Hey genius, If you look that question wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the person he quoted, shkemyhndaftripinu...
  12. BamaGrappler, Off topic question but is there anywhere I can find rankings for the non 6A guys in AL. I saw the 6A rankings on alabamawrestling.net We are scheduled for the Southside Duals which has a couple of 6A teams scheduled I believe and then some teams that I think are lower classification. Just trying to get an eye for the tougher weighs. BTW, saw a former TN name listed #1 in the rankings at 130 if I remember correctly. Thanks in advance
  13. I believe it was mentioned in the second post but they stated that Justin Cash did not wrestle due to injury.
  14. 119, 152, 160 and 215 will be absolutely fantastic brakcets and finals (not that most aren't though). 119 - with likely Adamson and Johnson showdown should be interesting. Hard to see Demetirus losing especially after he teched Meyers up at 125 but Adamson is an absolute gamer. 215 - Don't forget that Coffee is now in the mix. 152 & 160 - I have said it before but I would love to see a round robin of those guys. Maybe we can get it this summer in a freestyle tournament somewhere. Oh and I know it is odd to hear but I think heavyweight will be interesting this year as I don't see a clearcut favorite and I can think of more guys that I think could win it than there are going to be medals handed out!
  15. Looks like both Georgia and Tennessee are well represented there. It is certainly nice to see.
  16. Rabbitt, My only question is have you been sending your results into Hamm? If not then it is hard to complain about your rankings. If you have then obviously he has his reasons. We are lucky to have two people will to do rankings for us. I can only find 1 set of rankings for Alabama and it only covers the top 4 in the 6A division.
  17. Ronnie, I sent out summary over to Hamm last night and will forward to you when I get home. Of course you probably already know a majority of it!
  18. MatMan's fifth rankings have now been posted on the TWF website at the following link: MatMan's Rankings Week 5 Thanks Hamm for all the hard work!
  19. Ha! Anyone that knows me knows I am not modest. But I am usually honest. Like I said you may think me but that doesn't make you right.
  20. Nope still having the same problem. Makes the whole system kind of bunk if you can't enter the weights. Great plan. The fact that more coaches are not complaining about this leads me to believe that many aren't entering their weights. Maybe they jsut aren't complaining on here but I think there is a fair amount of coaches on teh site and I was the first to bring it up. I do love that the whole reason for the system does not even work. If anyone hears anything please post.
  21. Anybody that thinks I lead that team is sorely mistaken. I may lead the little eagles but have said many times before I can claim little credit for the success of the larger ones, I am rarely in the room until after Christmas. Ronnie has it on the money and balsoccer22 you should learn to spell your own coaches' names correctly. Based on the post by Coach Doty and Delgado if you looked at head-to head matchups and tournament finishes I guess a combined list would look like : 1) CBHS 2) MUS 3) SBA 4) Houston 5) Cordova I know 3-5 are very, very tight not sure how 2 fits with the others though.
  22. Is anyone else having problems with the NWCA weight management system? They seem to have changed something about 2 weeks ago and I can no longer enter the weights from our daul meets.
  23. Man I knew I had another name in there as I was thinking about there already being a big three @ 152. I should have known to think about SD and Jarriet would have come to mind quick. Funny how I always think about a top three at 152 and a top three at 160... imagine what a round robin (or heck even a line bracket) of those six guys would be like... Creagan, Spain, Toney, Tolbert, Wright, Felix OUCH... thats a lot of talent concentrated in two weights.
  24. Um I think there might be a couple of other people who would challenge that. A few names coming to mind are Felix and Spain... I would have to think them more of a favorite than Abrigo, who is still a talented wrestler.
  25. You also need to keep in mind that it is more likely there will be more opportunities in DII because of the way the rules / schools are set-up. As I understand the rules the middle and high schools have to be on the same campus for the wrestler to be eligible for HS varsity competition as an 8th grader. Tell me how many DI schools are set-up this way? I know that a large number of the private schools are... hence more chances for it to occur.
