  1. If Franklin keeps playing as well as they have been, then FHS by atleast 10. An Indy win would be nice too that would be a great rematch, but I would expect the same results..even if it is at Ind. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> But we'll have to get through this week first. GO REBELS!!!!
  2. Then things must have changed. Last year at the Franklin-Bwood game @ brentwood the franklin student section outnumbered brentwood's 2-1. I think there were actually some Franklin kids that were on the brentwood side so they would have a place to stand. Anway, fans don't determine the winner of the game.. talent does. I've seen both teams play.. Franklin wins this by atleast 15.
  3. Does anyone know the schedule of the games for Lipscomb's tourney?
  4. I remember seeing her play freshman basketball for Franklin but I don't think she ever played varsity so that would explain why she was eligible her sophmore year at Brentwood.. I guess when her family moved. So, in the last three and a half years, the family has moved from the Franklin High zone, then to Brentwood, and now to a part of Franklin that is zoned for Centennial? I've been going to basketball games for a really long time and I have never seen a player play for so many teams.. I wonder if she has the Williamson Co. record for being a part of the most teams.. seriously.
  5. I saw Centennial play recently and I'm pretty sure Rebecca Yarborough who played at Brentwood last year was starting. This really confused me because I thought players who moved schools weren't eligible for a full year if they had played varsity at their last school. Can anyone explain?
  6. Haha.. you're funny. Well, Centennial's sports program has been pretty much embarassing "Franktown", so most of us FHS fans like to keep it as a nickname just for our school. You're overlooking players for FHS that might not get a lot of publicity, but have really been stepping it up like Siske and Henry. They can step up and help lead the rebels to a win even if Batt isn't having a great shooting night. I predict Franklin wins by atleast 15.
  7. The only team I have seen both of them play is BGA. Obviously, BGA is not a very strong team this year, but they did beat Centennial by I think 10. And FHS beat BGA by almost 30. So, I would predict FHS by 20 or more, but no matter how good each of these teams are.. these games almost always end up being close. Btw, "Franktown" is a nickname for Franklin High that we came up with about five or six years ago... And the game is at Centennial, therefore it will not be crazy AT Frantown this Friday.
  8. Best rivalry in the midstate??? haha... that's pretty funny.
  9. Please forgive me. I must've switched the 7 & 9. You did not lose to Brentwood by 22, but by 18. It was a pretty close game after all......
  10. Okay, my username is bbballbabe24, so it would be ma'am. I'm not sure about now, but at the beginning of the season, Hoover was ranked #1 in the nation. And I wouldn't think a game would be aired on ESPNU if it's between a nationally ranked team and a team with a record of.. 4-5.. like you said, which is incorrect by the way.
  11. I think it's pretty funny that you actually called people "panzies" on coacht. It's also funny that you were so optimistic that your Cougars were going to gain "momentum" because of the win IN OVERTIME.. right?.. against Columbia who is 2-8, but you think that Franklin has no chance at winning state because the other teams are too strong. I guess now you're starting to kind of feel the same way that about every person except you felt about the Cougars playing Franklin. Actually, I think more people would predict Franklin to win state than would've predicted the Rebels to lose to CHS. GO REBELS!! 5A REGION 6 CHAMPIONS!!!
  12. I haven't been on coacht in a while, but I have a question for you CHS 2007. I am guessing you have never been to a Ravenwood, Brentwood, Franklin, or even Independence game midseason. Because I can almost guarantee if you had this year, you would've seen a bigger student turnout than at CHS's game vs. Lavergne. At almost every Williamson Co. school in TN except Centennial, the student section and stands are PACKED at every game, even most away games. I go to Franklin and many of my friends from CHS were at the FHS-Dickson Co. & didn't see CHS win their first game. Oh, yeah and are you calling CHS's 39-17 loss to BHS "that close game vs. Brentwood"??
  13. I am a FMS alumni. I actually go to Franklin now though. (Go Rebels.. 26-0) haha My mom knows Coach Lane pretty well from work. He has been thinking of retiring from FMS coaching for years, but always decides to coach another year. I really can't see him going into a high school program because it takes A LOT more time than coaching a middle school program. And as someone mentioned earlier, Coach Lane graduated from Franklin and so did his son so he has been a Rebel fan for a long time. I can't really see him going to coach for FHS's 2nd biggest rival. And if he wanted to coach at the high school level, he would've already done it.
  14. I was passing through AL a few weeks ago & we planned to stop at a Hoover game b/c we had seen the show. The talent and size of the Hoover players were amazing. The passing and recieving skills of the qb and recievers were amazing and unlike any I've ever seen in a high school game. As far as comparing Hoover to Maryville, I think it is funny that anyone even thinks it would be a close game, let alone Maryville actually winning. I mean, has Maryville even played a team outside of 4A in TN??Not only does Hoover play the best 6A teams in their state, they venture out and play the best ranked teams in the COUNTRY. There's no comparison. I'm not even sure that Maryville could beat Riverdale...... Oh yeah, and another thing about Hoover that was amzing was the size of their crowd. It was like the Franklin- Brentwood game times 5.. it was incredible.
  15. I'm guessing that when you said you turn on your radio and hear all about Williamson Co. teams, you are referring to AM 950. If you are then I have an explanation for that, I have lived in Williamson Co. all of my life. AM 950 started broadcasting Franklin games before B-wood even existed and is stationed in Williamson Co. So, as more schools came to the county, they began to cover other games like Ravenwood v. Brentwood, but always stay within the county. They do this because it is a tradition.. for a long time, they only broadcasted Franklin games. You do know that Fairview is in Williamson Co? So.. you support them even if they are from "the rich side of the tracks"? Just because we are the richest co. in the state doesn't mean everyone who lives here is. We love high school football just as much as anyone and can't exactly control what teams the media decides to cover.
