  1. Yes sir Coach, 84 players is music to my ears /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Anyone count how many players made it to the first full pads practice?
  3. First day of full pads, time for that ol familiar sounds of pads popping and helmets cracking Won't be long till Greenville
  4. It has nothing to do with making me feel better, you're bragging about a win that you should not have, thats a fact. As far as this year, I heard this same chest bumping back in 04 when CC brought Chris Johnson and host of other starters back. Take a guess at what the final score ended up being? 35-0
  5. Anyone have a report from the 7-7 either from last night or last week? Who stood out? Who needs to work on what?
  6. Yes they did(spotty refs and all), but one year does not define a program.
  7. The few, the proud I expect things to kick back up around the time camp rolls around, its been pretty quiet here for the most part.
  8. About like last year IMO
  9. Bearden is NOT DB, they do rebuild. History shows that they get good for 3-4 years, then go away for 3-4 years. Losing that many seniors will hurt, they lose a bunch of starters plus a good amount of backups because many of the backups were also seniors. As far as Campbell Co, seeing is believing for me. They`ll have to prove themselves more than 1 or 2 seasons before I`m ready to pick them above the last two spots in the region.
  10. Don't we have one of these? http://tennessee.coacht.com/boards/index.p...173354&st=0
  11. Wow, this all sounds strangely familiar, at least you O.R fans are being allowed to fully vent your frustrations. Oh, and though it may seem like it, you guys haven't hit rock bottom until you've gone 2-8 or 3-7, or are embroiled in a lawsuit. Truly I feel for you because I know exactly how most of you feel, it is crazy how quickly the tables can turn. I hope you guys turn things around because I hate to see traditionally strong programs fall on hard times, though I would like some revenge on O.R for beating us around during our lean 05/06 years.
  12. "Shave and drive cars", thats classic /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  13. Obviously the QB choice will come down to what gives JC the best chance to win games. I wonder though, if we get down to the start of the season and neither has significantly separated themselves if the coaches will move McFall back to RB knowing the impact he can make there. Obviously Darby can play other positions, but will he be as good at safety or WR as McFall can be at RB. If we are able to run everything in the offense with Darby I don't see how we can't move McFall back to RB if McFall isn't clearly significantly better than Darby at QB. I don't think its a stretch to say that McFall is a better runner than Darby, but Darby is a better passer. The question is whether McFall is a good enough passer to do everything we want, or if Darby is a good enough runner to do everything we want.
  14. Going to be a steep learning curve after 3 years at another position, hope he's a quick learner.
  15. The major question in my mind going into this season is how with the QB situation shake out. Has Will Darby fully recovered from his knee injury last season, will he have the same mobility that allowed him to start at saftey. I know back in 04 we had a similar situation when Ben Pewitt tore up his knee playing safety and when he did come back he was solely a pocket QB. I know he hasn't had many opportunities at QB, but in the scrimmages he definitely showed some great potential as a passer and obviously he can run(thats if he's 100% back). McFall has some experience at QB, if Darby isn't the guy at QB I wonder whether we'd turn to McFall, it would definitely cause some matchup problems. And I think most know that I think David Simms should get a share of the load at RB, it would make for quite a three headed monster.
  16. Sorry but a pop warner video is not going to convince me that he's the best RB in east tenn/state(I question whether he's the best RB in his own region after watching the Sensabaugh kid at DB last year). I`m sure he's a fine player, but how about we let him play a few downs of varsity football before he gets a crown.
  17. Best RB in east tennessee, and maybe the state????????? What is that based on?
  18. The reports I've heard out of the spring don`t suggest that Bearden with be good enough for one of the top 3 spots in the region. Hard to lose 27 guys and just bounce right back, especially when so many of those seniors not only started, but provided the depth as well.
  19. I HATE the Morristown West Trojans, Thanks you that is all, see you boys on the 29th /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  20. Over the past 10-15 there has been several trends when it comes to region 1, doesn't mean it always happens but 9/10 it will. Any predictions start with some basic premises, then its just process of elimination. #1-Karns and Campbell Co finish in the last two spots #2-DB finishes 1st in the region #3-Everyone else fights for spots 2-5 Based on who is coming back for all the teams it looks like Sevier County will be the team left out of the top 4. So that leaves Bearden, S.Hill, and Jeff County. Bearden lost 27 seniors off last years team that went to the semi finals, they may or may not agree but its going to be rebuilding time for them. That leaves us with S.Hill and JC. Probably a toss up, and it might just come down to who wins the head to head between the two teams. Personally I`m not convinced that Gilligan is up to the task due to the fact that he seems to be alergic to both the run(other than the sweep) and punting the ball on 4th down. Could go either way, but JC will have the homefield. So........... #1-DB #2-JC #3-S.Hill #4-Bearden #5-Sevier County #6-Karns #7-Campbell Co Not an exact science, and 2-5 could flip flop throughout the season based on a lot of things.
  21. Its not about liking or not liking, I just want to know what the thought process behind those predictions are. Whats the basis for picking those teams in the order you did.
  22. I can't believe it, there are actually comments idiotic enough to bring me out of retirement I can tell by your predictions you haven't been following region 1 for very long, but even so I would love to hear your explanation for putting those teams in the order you did.
  23. You want me gone, I`m gone I hope for nothing but success for JC in the future /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
