  1. Rigger just to answer one of your comments I am not related to either coach, But I do know of them and just suggesting to you to do what you are doing a little quiter as wrestlers, coaches and parents from all over read these posts. How would you like it if your company posred comments about aan available commodity with your skill sets in the area. I bet if you read that you would be either mad as heck and would start a job search.
  2. your posts seem to display unhappiness with your coaches. It appears you are not happy with them so I suggest you meet with them to discuss your displeasure, get it off your chest and leave the subject of new coaching hires alone until after the season. I saw a reply that the Knoxes were coaching the team and it looks as if a decison was made by someone to do so. I am not the only respondent that gets the feeling you do not care for your coaches. I am just pointing out to you how it appears. That is why you should take your displeasure with the staff head on as you did in the last post by stating many parents were unhappy with them last spring do to their availability. If I were these two guys I would get the same feeling that they were being forced out in some way. There are a lot of programs in the area that would love to have them coaching I am told. Your team is young and young kids are impressionable and these posts are not helping your team.
  3. sounds like the AAU program is already in good hands, so why all the rhetoric about coaching needs at Farragut again. seems like one unhappy parent is driving this. My recomendation to any parent that is unhappy is to meet the problem head on or better yet take your kid and move on rather than create turmoil within the club. I have stated before that the Farragut coaches have done a very good job and the season is not over yet.
  4. Sometimes a 6 point win is pretty major when two powers wrestle. Ever watch a real college match Rigger? one point wins are sometimes major butt whippins. Do not make light of Dunning he is the best wrestler in this state by far. Not to take anything away from any of these great kids, topics such as this make no sense and only lead to insults. Bundy is fabulous but would never hold up to Dunning.
  5. I think Farragut should definitlely dump the coaches that led the team to a fourth place finish at the State Tournament last year with only one returning state placer and two state finalists that had no prior sucess at the State Tourney. I am from the Knoxville area and these two young guys while balancing their college educations have taken a so so team that has had horrendous luck with injuies and put them into a top 10 rated team. They have not been the benefactors of a strong youth program like Bradley and others yet they still have put a respectable team on the mat. I have followed their coaching progress and last year was a perfect example. Farragut is not what they used to be. Yeah right!! they just finished the highest ever for Farragut at the State tournament in 04. I wish this gentleman all the luck in statring a programm at Oak Ridge but he should not have been politicing for a job that was not openly available. Maybe you are reading the AD wrong as no way meant he was in support of his wrestling coaches. I believe they coached more state finalists in one year than the school had in it's entire wrestling history. Just to clarify one thing I do not have a Farragut affiliation as my son wrestled at a private shool and remember the coaches as great wrestling talents and now very fine young coaches.
  6. I felt it was a negative toward the program and probably stems from negative posts regardind schedule, weight management among the key culprits. I have challenged on multiple occassions Rigger 101 for what I thought were negatives about the Farragut program. I believe that if this individual is a part of the Farragut programm he needs to tone it down quite a bit. The article had your coach on the ropes defending his program and his kids, when he should have been in a position to talk up the positives about his highly ranked and regarded program. Farragut has had some pretty fair teams in the past but this is probably it's best since the days of Coach Knox and Coach Ferguson. When you post alot rubbish the news hounds read Coacht and then go after the coaches by puttung them on the defensive. Farragut has I believ e two Nationaly ranked wrestlers in Knox and Dix and that should have been the highlight of the article. Scheduling every met early only leads to poor State Tounament preparation and that too was a major focus of the article. The two young coaches are the cream of the crop in the area and should be treated as such and should never be forced to defend their kids. I am not a part of the Farragut program just a fan of the team and believe they will shine when it counts as the season progresses. Rigger I must state to you that you need to watch what you post as it seems to have a way of finding itself into the perception of the team.
  7. From what I saw at the Jamboree I would doubt that the Farragut team is afraid of Bearden. Farragut has a fine team well coached and they appear to be a team that steadily improves throughout the year just as they did last year. It would be a good thing if scheduling would permit the rivalry to start up again. That way all the trash talk gets settled on the mat and not on coacht threads.
  8. I attended the Jamboree and Reveiz did not look as sharp as he could have, but I was informed that he had been to just a couple of practices coming off football. If anyone has wrestled and played football you would understand why an athlete of Reveiz's caliber was not as sharp as one could expect. Keep discounting that young man and you will probably find out the hard way. I know the sport of wrestling and I saw some very good things like superior balance and athletic ability. I am not involved with the Farragut program, just an impartial observer. Reveiz is a great athlete and that will pay dividends for him.
  9. Rigger how can you say that about anyone on your team. Remember you have coaches that were able to get wrestlers to state final matches that were previously unsucessfull at that level. Are you saying that after a full year in that practice room you do not think any one from your school will not be a contributor or contender. Your posts need to be more positive toward your personell.
  10. rigger did knox wrestle as it looks as if he did not if there was a loss at 171
  11. discoverwrestle what do you mean by absolutely no contest. who is the wrestler you are saying is over matched.
  12. Rigger are you infering that your son had the only double leg takedown move in the region. Come on now your son was a good kid but that was not a patented move. For years there have been good double leg shooters in the area. Junior Hernandez, Shannon Sayne, Farraguts Eric Farris and your very own coaches were pretty slick in that catagory to just name a few.
  13. FATER RYAN HAS A FIRST RATE PROGRAM IN EVERY ASPECT AND IF THEY GRADUATED THE ENTIRE LINE UP THEY WOULD JUST RELOAD. THEY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST COACHING STAFFS IN THE STATE AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. I DO NOT HAVE A SON IN THE PROGRAM SO I AM NOT BIASED JUST STATING THE FACTS. KNOWLEDGEABLE WRESTLING PEOPLE KNOW THIS AND THEIR PROGRAM SHOULD NOT HAVE NEGATIVES THROWN OUT AT THEM. GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. EVERY YEAR THEY HAVE 1 OR 2 OF THE TOP KIDS IN THE STATE AND NATION.
  14. Rigger let the coaches handle it! You are fortunate enough to have a coaching staff that delivered three State Finalists last seaon. Sounds like they know how to schedule the correct amount of competitive events to peak their wrestlers at the right time. I am sure Coaches Ferguson and Knox will schedule this event if it fits into open dates they may be desirous of filling. Too many matches can lead to burn out and slumps. Yes this sport is know to have slumps beyond what slumps are experienced by even Baseball players. Your Farragut kids are lucky to have the caliber of coaches they have and just let them do their jobs.
