  1. I agree with the people from Oak Ridge. I would have rather Oak Ridge played like they did. When you can tell someone is out on the field not trying and messing around with you barely making a sweat. To me thats more imbarrasing than loosing 74-0. I as a dragon would have rather lost 74-0 with Oak Ridge playing the way they did than Oak Ridge scoring 1 touchdown making the score 7-0 and kneeling it just to give it back to Clinton knowing they couldnt score on them just laughing in their faces. After going through spring practice to come out on your first game and have the team toying with you. Thats more embarrasing to me than getting beat that bad.
  2. Hassan Abdulrahman, Clintons Pre-Season All-State Kicker will be out for the Oak Ridge game friday night because of a so far severely sprained ankle and hes going to have X-Rays taken tomorrow. Hassan started at Free Safety and Wide Reciever also so thats a pretty big loss for Clinton.
  3. After watching both teams in the jamboree Clinton looked like the better team.
  4. Clinton has the toughest schedule in the state. Last year they were a 4A team and their schedule was ranked the toughest in the state by far, even over any 5A team. Clintons first 2 games of the season come against 5A powerhouse Oak Ridge and then it doesn't get any easier when they play Maryville in week 2. It lightens up the next few weeks when they play teams like Lenoir City, West, Halls, Campbell County and South Doyle. All of which were playoff teams or teams with winning records last season except for South Doyle. I still haven't mentioned the games Clinton plays against top 5 4A state ranked Powell and Knoxville Central and 3A powerhouse Anderson County. Pretty tough schedule if you ask me and the only weak spot is South Doyle.
  5. If the ship was vandalized last in 1997 then that was the last time the Dragons beat Oak Ridge. Even though it is embarrasing to Clinton for Clinton students or Clinton alumni (im assuming) to do something like that, im trying to think optimistic about this whole playing Oak Ridge situation. I know their a slim chance and i thought that Clinton could have snuck up on Oak Ridge before but now they have a target on their backs, but hopefully Clinton can repeat from the last time the ship was vandalized and follow up with a win.
  6. Rhea Co. looked good and once their offense stopped getting pentalies they started rolling and moving the ball pretty well. Rhea Co's secondary will need some work because Clinton isnt that good of a passing team and they prob had over 100 yards passing in the 12 minute quarter and could have had another 60 yard td pass that went off the recievers fingertips and had the corner behind him. RC's running back looked good and they looked good on the counter plays. When they executed right htey were getting about 10 yards a carry on those counters. Although i dont believe the final td that Rhea Co. scored to get the win was a td but it was just a jambo so good luck to Rhea Co. during the season.
  7. If it wasnt for the last drive that AC had for about 30-40 yards then i would have called their scrimmage with Oak Ridge last night HORRIBLE. Anderson County's first 2 posessions ended up in 3 and out and they lost yards both times. The first drive ended up at about 4th and 12, the 2nd drive ended up in about 4th and 25. All Oak Ridge did the whole scrimmage was run the ball up the middle. They were getting about 8-10 yards a carry up the middle and AC's defense couldnt stop them. They got the ball back towards the end of the game and tryed a couple pass plays and got intercepted. But about the only thing i seen good out of AC was an interception and a 30-40 yard drive against Oak Ridges 2nd team.
  8. I just talked to one of the players and the varsity teams just got done playing at Greenville and they tied. Im not sure of the score yet but he said Clinton had the upper hand most of the game but it turned out to be a tie. The JV teams are still playing but i dont think either have scored.
  9. Running riot at the start of this post you said that Scott beat Clinton 7 td's to 2 then you went down to 6 td's to 2 and now your down to 5 td's to 2 are you gonna keep going down until the 3 td's to 2 or 3 td's to 3 that it was supposed to be. And who is #4 for Clinton.
  10. I also heard the scrimmage was a tie and i heard the Clinton players were laying some pretty good licks on the scott players. So i believe it must have been the Scott jv and freshman putting up the rest of the td's.
  11. I think music w/ a fast beat gets you more pumped to get out their and play than music that trys to calm yourself down.
  12. Yea, i remember during the season where South Carolina and Miami and places like that were looking at him but i didnt ever hear or read where he went or if he went anywhere.
  13. Yes Gulmire was held back a year, i think all of the Gulmires were held back a year.
  14. i think Gulmire had about 1400 yards last year if i remember correctly, i havent looked at any official statistics but i believe he was somewhere around their and im not sure how many carries he had but i do remember that he was averaging around 10 yards per carry.
  15. Clinton definately has some tough teams to play. Their schedule was ranked the hardest in the state last year in all classifications and its the same this year except you take out Carter and Bell Co. KY and insert Lenoir City and South Doyle, South Doyle though is the 1 and only game as a break from great teams such as. Maryville and Oak Ridge weeks 1 and 2. Anderson Co, Central, Powell, Halls, West, etc.
  16. got a lot of haters and a lot of homies some friends and some phony
  17. If its the same person that told you that and taught you how to spell then your prob wrong.
  18. In the new region that Catholic moved to it is going to be tough for them to even make the playoffs w/ Anderson Co., Austin East, and Fulton. They better bring their A game when they play those teams if they wanna come close.
  19. Panthers08 im not saying that i dont dis agree w/ you on the moving Zac from the Qb spot if both were on the same team. But didnt Cody play running back his sophomore year. That would give him more experience at another position and Zac has always played Qb as far as i know so why move him. Im not saying your wrong or anything but i just want to know your reasoning.
  20. The guy from Powell is Cody Watts, he can throw the ball pretty well and when he scrambles he can run alot like a running back and i do believe he will go somewhere in football. If he wanted to play basketball or baseball wed be talkin about him in those forums too, hes just an all around great athelete.
  21. I agree that Helton is the best playmaker at qb that ive seen but he lacks the size that colleges are looking for so i believe that will hurt him quite a bit in him being recruited.
  22. First off i think Knight would be the best man for the job but however i dont believe he will come to Tennessee. The next best candidate i believe is Coach Mike Anderson from UAB. Where most of the other coaches have battled it out at mid-major conferences, Anderson has more than held his own in Conference USA with Louisville, Memphis, etc. Anderson is also a young coach and if proven could be a long term coach for the Vols. I believe he is still in his 30's so that gives him (if proven) a good 25 years as a Volunteer coach.
