SC has had a solid run the past couple if years and it will keep getting better as Coach Ballard continues to build them into a great program. As far as GHS and LHS, it is what it is. LHS has brand new facilities on campus at least, now they need the admin and community to get behind a coach for a few years. 11 coaches in 20 years is not good...as for GHS, unless you have tried to coach baseball there, it's hard to understand just how much of an uphill battle it is... Portland has the disadvantage of drawing from a much smaller pool of talent and resources. I think Jimmy has done a fine job there recently, and they held their own this past season. I believe 9AAA will see MJ, HHS, SC, WC, and BHS continue to be 1-5 when you consider talent, facilities, and administrative support.

Portland went to State a couple times in early 200s I think? Only reason I put them ahead of SC is the program at SC is still new... But they will certainly move up quickly.... 1-MJ 2-HHS 3-WC 4-BHS 5-SC 6-PHS 7-LHS 8-GHS Remember, this considering factors like facilities, funding, administrative support, etc

BTW, Coach Crabtree at Beech is a great guy and one if the best coaches I've seen in HS sports....

Relax folks, just stirring the pot. Beech and HC should battle for the gold ball against Columbia... But Im pulling for some if my former students like QB Clay Carnes, RB Jordan Harper, S/WR Cory Coggins, DT Nico Mayes to name a few... I do think GHS' run comes in 2015-2016

I can definitely see your points. I slide Beech to 3, but HHS stays 2. Beech is a great program. I spent a year there myself. John decker, Mike Hayes, Greg Shelton, and Jimmy Neal all winners in my book.... Im sure Im biased, but Ford is an excellent coach. Hard nosed...excellent coaches and Hendersonville too, and solid program all around.

I'd agree with that. My 2-4 is pretty close and interchangeable....

Lebanon HS knows where to find me if they wanted to talk. I gave them 2 years of my life before Kip Puryear and a couple of politicians wanted change. Besides, 5 more seasons Ilini, then it's full time behind a radar gun for me. I do want to see LHS get a good coach and give the guy 4-5 years to build something...
