hey atlbraves... you one of the ones talking about how halls was so overmatched, so now you want to compare all of the district 3AA teams and 4AAA teams to farragut...lol... you lost to Farragut too, guess it shows that you dont toot you horn to early, now you like many other teams.. sitting home and watching!

Glad to hear that Halls can compete! My guess is that at least 3 other teams in 3-AAA can compete too, good luck Red Devils Its really funny how that nobody could compete witth 4AAA a couple days ago and now the # 3 seed from distict 3AAA torney can suddenly compete now.. go Halls

Ok so now that te Halls-SD score is in we can stop debating the 3-AAA vs 4AAA question. As I expected , All the dirtict 4 vs. 3 teams are very even except for the Admirals. Guess this puts to bed the downtrodden 3AAA.. Congrates Halls, looks like our" little" distict did ok

Zac, I hate to tell you but you have been watching to much pro wrestling or something. Sports has never been about trash talking, but it has been about beating your opponent on the field. I have played and seen sports for years and what we have now is rediculous. Maybe your attitude is exactly why you quit football your senior year and didnt play any other sports. I hate to tell you ,but they can have games without anybody clapping thier hands, its about the game on the field not those in the stands.

This was a great High school game and even though it didnt end as i would have wanted was a real well played contest. I totally agree that the after game incident took focus from a really excellent game. Everyone has a side to take or tell in the incident ,which has been brewing for weeks, but I have witnessed high school sports sink to a new low in the past few years as far as respect and appreciation for players and the game go. Its now seems that players lack the discipline and respect for the game and opponents in many high school games, not just baseball. I think its time all participants and fans in all sports to take a step back and see how things are going. Its time for the trash talk and the disrespect to stop. Lets go back to playing the game the way it is supposed to be played on the field and the respect for everyone off the field. You dont have to like everybody , but you also dont have to show disrepect for anyone either. It should be a privilege to play high school sports and represent your school and community, if you dont believe that ask the many kids that have wanted to play badly but didnt have the talent to ever step foot on the field. Good luck to both Halls and Karns as they continue into region play.

mphstiger, yes there are many ways to be hurt, do we have to accept that that is a part of the game??? I think not!!!I would love to see high school and college go to wooden bats. Not only does it protect a pitcher or infielder from harm but it makes the game more challenging , no more cheap hits... i think its in the future at some point... I know i dont want to see the first kid hurt before we wake up!!!!!

Yes, you can use wooden bats, and I agree why would you? But at some point some pitcher will be hurt badly in high school or college and then I think there will be a huge debate .

Ok heres how I see it....... Best defensive - Cale Iorg ,Karns Best pitcher _ Dustin Plumlee, Powell Most valuable to his team - Lockwood . Halls

NO Farragut is district 4AAA

If you look at the games the top 3 teams in this district lost it really wanst due to poor pitching or hitting, it was poor defensive play.When it all said and done, the team that wins this will play the best in field overall. Errors KILL.

Powell won the #1 seed and a share of the district title toniight at Campbell County with a 7-1 win. Dustin Plumlee pitched the complete game giving up one hit and one run. Plumlee had a no -no going into the seventh and gave up a hit to the second batter in the seventh. The Panthers got the #1 seed over Karns with a tied district record and a tie breaker of best record overall.Conrats to the Panthers on their first distric title since 1995.

Congrats to the Panthers and the Beavers, it was a close run. Not sure who will win this tourny but have really enjoyed this race

I totally agree. I enjoy watching this team play and love to see our area getting nantionwide publicity. I"m not a Farragut fan but am a fan of Tennessee baseball, go Admirals1 lets all just give them credit due and wish them the best!!!

the Panthers just showed up. They played several players that never play much. Not sure that it would have been any different but looked like a scrimmage game

At this point im not sure that anybody is well on their way to anything. Good luck to coach Lawson. The district tourny should be good, but then the winner gets the privelege of playng the best team in the state and maybe the nation.

Are we talking about the best team or the best player????.... I think Farragut is a little better than the Helton Bobcats. But no single is better than Helton... not even close.

One thing that concerned me while watching the Powell - Halls game was after Lockwood pitched he went to center field. A ball was hit over his head and he couldnt return the ball half way to the cutoff at second. Is his arm hurt?

I agree that the district 3 race is yet to be decided. Nobody can deny that the Halls loss to campbell county was huge. I think that anybody that has witnessed Lockwood this year would have to agree that he is struggling.I know he is a gerat talent but the truth is the truth.

Unfortunately errors have decided more games this year than hitting and pitching.

Actually Halls biggest problem was a bad trip to Campbell County.

I dont know who will pitch for Powell but I can tell you it probably wont be any of the top 3 starters. Henson pitched Monday, Cummings Tues. and Plumlee Wed. With all that said , I would expect another Admiral win.
