There was a small article in the Sunday paper about it, but if you weren't looking for it you probably would not see it.

Some of the guys that I know are playing for Tennessee are: Anthoney Conney (McCallie) Caleb Wilson (Rhea Co.) Seth Skogen (Temple) Jeremy Woods (Ooltewah) Thomas Green (McCallie) Josh Smith (Temple) Kameron Ridley (Temple)

Josh Smith (Temple) was probably one of the best LB's in the state in '06. He is playing at the next level. He had an opportunity to play at a bigger school but chose to play at a smaller school. He'll be playing for Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. this coming Fall.

so tell us who you are.

Oh --- did I happen to mention that Temple has won three Gold Balls in the last 5 years?

It appears that in 1A the East rules with 5 state championships in the last 10 years. WEST Union City (2006) Middleton (2005) S. Fulton (2000) EAST Temple (2007) Unaka (2004) Temple (2003) Temple (2002) Chattanooga Christian (2001) MIDDLE Moore Co. (1999) Ezell-Harding (1998)

Hmmmmm . . . .

How do you come to that conclusion seeing that 2 of the teams that won the state championship (Temple and Maryville) are from the east side of the state?

I don't think you can have Culleoka before Temple as the "most talented team".

From what I know about them they are team that likes to crash the boards. Their leading scorer is Kelvin Winrow, who averages about 16 points per game. He was held to just six points against Moore Co. Michael Brookshire led East Literature with 16 points and nine rebounds in their win over Moore Co. I don't think EL will be able to handle Temple's defensive pressure, but Temple will need to hit the boards to safely secure the win. I'm going to go with Temple by at least 10.

What does someone from Hampton know about Temple basketball? Or better yet, what does someone from Hampton know about basketball period?

I wouldn't bet the house on it.

Sexton is a very good basketball player. Just being a sophomore he will be one of the best players in Tennessee by the time he is a senior.

What are your thoughts about this game? Temple won both regular season games by 40 and 22. Does Grace have what it takes to get a win against the Crusaders in the District 5-A Championship?

Just wondering, do they play any defense over in West Tennessee?

i'm sorry but cross is not that good of a football player.

with all the extra distractions at ooltewah it doesn't surprise me that grace won. if temple played the owls now they would also beat them.

I'm not sure that would be an upset the way Grace is playing.
