    Class A state

I DON'T THINK IT TAKES A GENIUS TO KNOW THIS, BUT WHAT IS THE ENROLLMENT AT THE OTHER SCHOOLS AT STATE. THERE MAY BE SOME SMALLER, BUT I DOUBT IT.

    Class A state

400 is probably a small school where you are, but Harriman and Rockwood each only have under 300 students. Just a note to let you know how small these schools are. I know that they both have from 250 to 300 students.
  3. I can hardly keep from wondering how Rockwood has ever lost a game. I belive they are probably better than most Major League clubs. Perhaps the TSSAA will just go ahead and send them the State Championship trophy and save everyone a lot of money from having to attend. This is probably the best thing to do since everything is so costly now. Oh by the way, I know that Rockwood has been to the State Tournament several times. I would like to know their won-loss record for State. I guess it is a fluke that both teams won by 5 runs. This means that one team is truly dominant over the other.
  4. Do not take anything away from Harriman. Yes Harriman defeated Rockwood in the first game, however Rockwood defeated Harriman last night. Both games were decided by 5 runs. The first game, Rockwood made some costly errors and last night Harriman made some costly errors. The two teams are pretty equal and both have a good chance of going to State and maybe winning it. You asked about Harriman losing to Cascade. When Harriman plays out of their District, they use these games as learning experiences for some younger players (especially pitchers). Of course they want to win these games, but it truly helps them later in the season and in later years as the players mature. I will give you another little known fact about Harriman and Rockwood (Coach Adcox and Coach Cofer are cousins) They both come from a long line of baseball players and coaches.
  5. Just looking at Coach-T's scoreboard since 2002, it is a good thing that Rockwood won 5 times last year. This nearly caught them up with Harriman in the Rockwood/Harriman games. The way I count it, it is Harriman 15 wins and Rockwood 14 wins since that time. Maybe Rockwood can win Thursday and tie it all up. It is great to have such good teams within a few miles of each other and have such a good friendly rivalry. Good luck to both teams and lets hope they can both make it to State and one of them win it this year.
  6. Oops, you listed the Harriman Chattanooga Central game twice instead of deleting it. PLEASE ----DELETE-----THE TWO (2) HARRIMAN-CHATTANOOGA CENTRAL GAMES THAT SHOW ON MARCH 31. THESE GAMES WERE NOT PLAYED AND NEED TO BE -----DELETED. THANKS
  7. I posted the Harriman - Chattanooga Central Score by mistake on March 31. This game was not played and needs to be deleted. Thanks for your help.
  8. I may be wrong, but I believe that Harriman lost both of its State Tournament games to USJ. If this is the case, then Harriman would be undefeated and should be the State Champion.
  9. The pitcher's name is Andrew Knoblock (not sure of the spelling). He has been on the Harriman roster for four years. He has had very little playing time. He has always warmed up the pitchers. He was very instrumental in getting the Harriman players up for each game. He is a very nice young man and I am sure he would like to have this picture. You may put it on the photo gallery or you may e-mail it to me at Lexi41491@aol.com and I will see that he gets it.
  10. congratulations from Harriman Blue Devils.
  11. Harriman fans wish to apologize for the actions of one or two people chanting bad things to the DCA players. It was not 10-15 people as stated and we have asked the guilty parties to refrain from the activity. But also, the DCA fans also called Harriman a "bunch of rednecks". This is what started the whole thing. Hopefully the game will be played on the field today and all fans will cheer for their teams as they should. We're so PROUD of our Harriman Blue Devils.
  12. Meaningless games? Regional? Sectional? I wonder.
  13. If chanting, clapping, cheering, and high fiving is girlish, then I don't want to meet any girls teams in Memphis. Halls has fun and wins. When everyone else beats them and stays quiet on the bench, then I will say this is the way to go. I don't think any team will be silent on the bench. Also, if anyone thinks Halls is a bunch of girls, they need to get their eyes checked. That is probably why they can't beat Halls. They can't see the ball.
  14. How long has Coach Lane been at Rockwood? I agree he is a great coach, but all great high school coaches must have good athletes. Without good athletes, a great coach can become a mediocre coach. This was told to me by a great high school football coach many years ago. He won and won and so on. Then he ran out of tallent and had one or two losing seasons. Suddenly the fans thought he was terrible. Not only is Coach Lane a great coach but he is a good person, who really cares about his players and friends.
  15. Rockwood has always had a field. The Gym and parking lot now take the place of the old field.
  16. Rockwood - Harriman play today at 5:00 P.M. The loser plays Coalfield after this game. The winner of the Coalfield game plays the winner of Rockwood - Harriman tomorrow at 3:00 P.M. If needed the extra championship game will follow the 3:00 game tomorrow.
  17. As usual. Harriman and Rockwood are the best teams. Harriman won the regular season with a perfect district record. Rockwood is second with only two losses (both to Harriman). They have a tournament matchup with each other today at 5:00 P.M.
  18. Halls is a class team. Their players have fun. If they want to clap, cheer or whatever, this is part of the game and they have fun doing it. My team played Halls earlier this year, and I can only say that their players and coaches are nothing but a class act. They never did anything out of the way to insult any of our players or coaches. There has been enough said of this protest. I am an unbiased baseball fan and I know that if your break a rule, you must pay the penalty. Good luck Halls with the rest of your season. Hope to see you in Memphis. (We will be in different classes)
  19. Go to Coach T home page and click on schedules. Locate Harriman, and make your on judgement.

    Harriman

Harriman is definitely not ashamed of losing to Knox Halls. Halls may be the best team in the state. I mentioned this because of the good game that this was. Also Eble has been injured since the first game and has been used only as a desiginated hitter. However, Saturday, he played second base against Cumberland County and threw well from there. Hopefully he will be able to pitch by tournament time. Harriman has a very sound pitching crew as evidenced by their recomr.

they may be better than their record. their only losses were to Knox Halls and Cumberland Co. These were early season losses. Last night they defeated Cumberland Co. 7-1. Their earlier loss to Knox Halls was 4-3 and they should have won this game. they have had some injuries, but everyone has played well.
