Big red 3 they have 3 losses 2 of them coming to teams ranked in the top ten and one to a private school in double overtime. Ask mcminn central, bledsoe, walker valley and sequatchie if they are any good. 3 of those teams probably have more talent than meigs but they found a way to win. As far as talking i dont know what your talking about i have seen nothing on this board coming from meigs players or fans that has been bragging or boasting --it sounds to me the only one talking is you.-

Not trying to start anything here but please dont anyone from sequatchie say anything about officials anywhere. I can remember one of our players getting thrown out at sequatcie because he was black--i remember last year at sequatchie meigs county got every big play they had called back( sequatchie still would have won but give me a break --what about last year when tyner played at sequatchie i think they had 4 or 5 tds called back.--Sequatchie has a very good football team but please-one thing someone from dunlap should never do is complain about officials when they play on the road.--About the player getting thrown out for being black it was such a bad call that nashville reversed the call and the player did not have to sit out the next game.

I posted a message a few weeks ago concerning the tigers of meigs county. When I read in the paper that they were picked to finish 2nd I could not understand why. Polk returned several players along with the other 60 they have . Sequatchie returned several along with marion--I guess my question is why was meigs picked to finish so high --they are 0-2 with walker valley,tyner,sequatchie, marion, and tyner left on their schedule. I just dont think the talent at meigs is what it use to be and from what i hear the kids arent even very tough. I am not trying to be negative toward meigs i just am speaking the facts along with things i hear.

Big Red you forgot some of the information about the game friday night dont get me wrong i thought the skins looked pretty tough but you forgot about the fieldgoal that meigs kicked from about 30 yards and you left one of Robbies tds out. Robbie Cornelius scorec 2 tds-1 from about 60-65 yards and another one from about 5 yards out on a sweep play. Tyler Mobriant scored another td from about 8 yards out. The varisty score was Meigs 24 and I am not for sure what Loudon had but at one time it was 24-12 in favor of Meigs--but you are right meigs did seem to run out of gas late I know their coach I would hate to be them on Monday --I would bet they do alot of conditioning.

I dont think everyone is answering the question that i asked. Is this going to be determined by the coaches vote or will the tssaa people automatically put this plan in because it seems that is what they are pushing.

I talked with some coaches recently about this plan --I know this is old news but I an wondering what everyone thinks will happen--will this plan be implemented or not --what is your thoughts?

I will tell you what i find very interesting --is that i am sure some of these comments made on here are by meigs county players and i dont see 1 reply or comment from polk county players. I guess this means the polk county players believe that they can take of business on the field like your suppose and not tell everyone how your going to win on some internet site like you meigs players. Once again this all goes back to coaching --i guess coach davis from polk has more control and discipline over his players than the coach from meigs.

All i am saying is the tigers from meigs county better be ready in week #2 for the polk county cats. That program is on the rise and they have a ton of players coming back. Also anytime you play against Coach Davis from Polk there is a good chance of your team getting out coached, so your coaches better be ready.

why are you people picking meigs to finish 2 in this region. they didnt even make the playoffs last year and lost to polk, sequatcie killed them, and marion county. I know they lost a senior running back and some lineman-- what makes them the 2nd place pick. I would have to pick polk,sequatchie, and marion over them because it seems these 3 teams have got meigs number for the last few years.

Wardog this is exaclty what I was meaning when I said it might be too complicated or to much work for the tssaa. I dont know if they want to deal with all the problems that you just listed that may arise from this plan.

When is the first official day of practice in the state of Tennessee. When are teams able to practice in full pads.

I have to agree with the fact that this plan would make for stronger rivalries by playing the same people year around almost like it use to be and it does add a little excitement with the playoff selection format. If the traveling is cut down and rivalries are built stronger the only contraversy I see is the same one that is in the college level with certain teams left out that think they should be in. This board would be lit up if there was a selection for the playoffs. Interest would definetly surface. My only concern would be if this would be to complicated or to much work for the tssaa.

Do high school coaches in the state of Tennessee get in the orange and white game free or do they have to buy tickets like everyone else ? Just wondering.
