  1. In AAA H'ville was ranked 1 and B'wood was #2 on accout that H'ville won a previous game 1-0. However, you are quite right, especially since there's about a month till the district tournament.
  2. The only other district that could be better is district 4. Farragut, Bearden, Maryville, Lenoir City (new to AAA), Knox west and South Doyle isn't bad either.
  3. Top 2 teams in each region go to substate. This is where you get into State Tourney spots. Its set up that the loser of one region will go to the winner of the region paired up with it and vice versa. TSSAA sets up the spots to be opposite of each other (that is region teams will not meet until the finals). Also the decision of which region loser/winner gets matched up with a differenct region loser/winner is decided before districts even start. Basically its just like politics, suppose to be fair (and they do try their hardest), but will never be. The winner of the substate games then take the State bid and face the winner of the sectional across them in quarterfinals.
  4. Well, lets refer to past state champions to see who they are, ohh and no I don't go there. These are only teams that have won more than one. Baylor (2) 1997,2000 Bearden (2) 2001,2002 Brentwood (2) 1995,2005 Christian Academy of Knoxville (3) 2003,2004,2005 Christian Brothers (6) 1990,1991,1992,2001,2002,2003 Farragut (3) 1987,2003,2004 Father Ryan (2) 1998,2005 Hendersonville (2) 1989,1998 Houston (5) 1993,1994,1996,1999,2000 Notre Dame (2) 1996,1997 Ridgeway (2) 2000,2002
  5. You guys played Smyrna twice, do you believe that they can make it to regions or even compete with Hendersonville?
  6. Here's mine: 1 CBHS 2 Brentwood 3 BGA 4 Houston 5 Knox Catholic (this is really in the air, lots of teams could have taken it)
  7. Most schools in Tennesse are public, so that has nothing to do with anything. Like lcsoccer said the best team is in West Tennessee. Plus, Houston, CBHS, Collierville, MUS, and others all have tough schedules. Your excuses are ridiculous, but the weak schedule is not your fault but your coach's. The coach makes the schedule, the players play it; thats all anyone can do.
  8. That is the most impressive, its one thing to beat up on teams that are bad and decent, but it is a totally different feat to do it to the top teams in state.
  9. Does anyone have a schedule for the McMinn Country Tournament? I looked on EurosportScoreboard and all it has is one game for some teams. These are the teams that are in it, as far as I know (i'm assuming there is one more). Walker Valley McMinn Co. Smyrna Ooltewah Cleveland Rossview Bradley Central Any information would be appreciated.
  10. CAK won A/AA. However, the best soccer players are not only in the Knoxville area. The Gatorade player of the year is from Brentwood. The player that most considered to be the best last year was at Hendersonville. (these are middle teams) Not to mention the best team might be in Memphis (ask Farragut, Bearden, Knox Catholic)
  11. Hard to say, due to it being a rival game. Players will know each other, so I'll say a tie (2-2). Rico puts the tieing goal in with less than ten minutes left.
  12. I find it funny that most of it has nothing to do with the players that played. Christian Brothers has probably been the best "powerhouse" in the past 5 years or so. Therefore, if they beat someone by 3 or 4 don't be surprised. However, I would like to see them play Brentwood, as that would be a game that came down to one play for either team. Fact is CBHS is most likely taking state.
  13. I must be missing something, but I don't think that Hendersonville and Bearden even played. When did they?
  14. I disagree, many US players have gone to Europe to ride the pine and have since come back to the US. Wolf is not good enough to get a starting spot on a great team in Europe. He needs to go some where he will play, if he goes anywhere at all. Wolf is no McBride and should not attempt to be like him, however if he does go, he should go on a team that will play him, similar to what Beasley did.
  15. CREE, I saw on Eurosport that you are having your tournament again this year, but the teams that I saw only had one game. Do you know the match ups yet, and if so are you and Rossview playing as I think that would be a very good game. Also, are there any other teams involved than these? Mcminn Co. Ooltewah Cleveland Rossview Smyrna Bradley Central Walker Valley
  16. No we were missing almost all of are starters. These include Claudio Reyna, Eddie Lewis, Carlos Bocanegra, Brian McBride, Landon Donovan, Eddie Pope, Oguchi Onyewu and DaMarcus Beasley. Also Taylor Twellman, although he is going to be a sub for the team, not to mention that Josh Wolff only played a couple of minutes. This is while Germany was only missing one player that was playing in England. Germany teams let their players go so that they could join their national teams, which is why Keller was there (even though he played horrible). This was USA's JV team versus Germany's Varsity. I wouldn't put any stock in this game.
  17. If your both are playing left for your team, then you will be on opposite sides of the field. Because your left side goes against their right side and vice a versa.
  18. I agree with Lion. Farragut attempts to only play top teams in the state and when forced to play bad teams they do have a tendancy to run up the score, but it is not due to a lack of class. Their jv team in past years have been better than a lot of top varsity teams in the state even when restrictions are placed upon them. Varsity spots are very competitive and jv players often see a chance to impress the coach and attempt to seize the opportunity.
  19. The reason why this happens so much in high school soccer is simple. It happens because the players' friends come to watch the games and know very little about soccer if anything at all. In high school, a sports event is also a social event, students go because they have fun hanging out with their friends (the game is basically the background). They are not really cheering for the player to break his leg or tear a tendon, they are cheering for their friend that in their minds just made a great play (stopped him right in his tracks).
  20. Your right, I didn't read the news paper article. Thought that it was on school grounds, like most schools have. I was also talking more about the SRO and possibly anyone else that watches the cameras, as I know most school have cameras that could read a license plate from over 200 yards.
  21. I like how you openly admit to doing something illegal. Let us know when it comes to DVD though.
  22. Why would anyone want to steal 60 soccer balls? And doesn't your school have an alarm? How would they be able to get 60 balls out without anyone noticing if it was during the day? Plus there should be cameras in and around the school. If you can't find the people that stole the balls then your school should definitely fire some individuals.
  23. Come on...lets be honest, all the BGA player did was move the ball and then kick the pk like normal. Its not like he juggled the ball and then rocketed it at the keeper. There is no reason for the guy to be "caught of guard", maybe confused at first when he picked it up, but the shot wasn't thrown in. I'm sorry, except the loss and move on, BGA is a good team.
  24. You have to be joking. All the teams you named are in the nashville area. There are teams that are better in middle TN that some of the ones you named. Independence lost to Hillwood. PJPII already beat MBA. Franklin (also tied Ravenwood) and Centennial have beaten no one of any importance. FRA hasn't played. You completely missed the two Clarksville teams too. Here's what I say: (no order) Hendersonville Brentwood Father Ryan BGA MBA Clarksville Rossview PJPII Riverdale Blackman
