  1. The first question that should be asked is when did they buy the tickets? If they bought them before they were given the schedule, then it is not really their fault. The same goes if the games got moved from a different date, all players have to go off of is what the coach has told them. You can't honestly expect your players to sit tight and do nothing, just because they play soccer, lets be for real this is not the pros. Student-Athlets must be allowed to do what they want during the time that to their knowledge is not scheduled for anything. However, if they knew there were games and they still decided to buy the tickets without the coaches approval, they should be punished.
  2. I am actrually not surprised they lost, Brentwood is probably the best TEAM in Tennessee.
  3. Okay I will agree with you on Greenville, but not Rossview. Rossview is 11 and you didn't name any other teams and I don't think their schedule has been that easy so far. They tied ECS and Farragut lot to them(so they wouldn't be 7-0), they beat Smyrna and Oak Ridge lost to them. I'm not saying that Rossview would beat either of these teams, all I'm saying is that I believe they deserve the respect they are starting to receive. As for the weak opponents they have played, its not really their fault as they are in their district(i'm sure they would play Clarksville NW if they didn't have to) and in tournaments.
  4. Just wondering who you guys would put in if you take these teams (Greenville, Rossview) out, since you guys say they don't deserve to be there?
  5. With all the activity already this weekend, how will the next rankings look in AAA. Farragut won a big game against CBHS, Smyrna (who lost to Rossview) beat Oak Ridge, McMinn lost convincingly to Dalton and other teams didn't play at all.
  6. WOW! This one suprises me, I thought Oak Ridge was suppose to be much better than this. How were the fields, did they have anything to do with the outcome?
  7. Just wondering if the smyrna tournament is still going on and if so what are the scores?

    smryna

Who do you believe should be?
  9. I could be wrong, but didn't Blackman beat Columbia, as Columbia faced McMinn and I know McMinn won their game.
  10. Who got the shaft on rankings this go around. Where should they be and who should be taken off.
  11. Today Clarksville travels to Henry Co to play a big district game at 7pm. They both lost to Smyrna 2-1 and Hendersonville 4-1. Therefore, score to score they appear to be equal. The question is simple, who wins?

    rankings

Is Greenville really that good or are they overrated. I mean can we be real, who thinks they are going to beat Bearden or Farragut? Also, is it just me or are some teams ranked higher than others (or even ranked) because of easier schedules than other teams.
  13. As always, Hendersonville will win the district. However, second is up in the air between a couple teams.
  14. Okay, I don't know much about history (does it really matter though), but isn't Rossview a new school. Therefore they probably took some of the talent that Clarksville use to get, as I know that they are pretty close to each other. However, I am very interested in upcoming games between Henry, Rossview and Clarksville. Smyrna beat both Henry and Clarksville 2-1, while Rossview plays them pretty soon. When does Rossview and CLarksville play (one of them will probably win just because they were the two teams in the finals last year)?
  15. I believe they could hang with them, they barely lost to ECS and then ECS after playing them barely lost to Notre Dame. If ecs and notre dame would have played the same teams over the weekend, ecs probably would have won. What was with those pairings, not fair at all.
  16. To be honest, this will eventually happen to most if not all public schools. This shift in talent is due to Tennessee growth in population and has already occured in Clarksville. Brentwood is starting to witness this (Ravenwood) and Hendersonville is getting students drawn from their pool of talent now too.
  17. Pay attention and read this slowly. Blackman does NOT have to play those powerhouses to make it to state. I'll repeat myself, they WON'T play those teams.
  18. Let me remind you of something that I have been told many, many times unfortunately. The game is 80 minutes long, not 60 or even 78 minutes long. You have to play the full 80, the best teams do. Congratulations Ryan, good luck in your season. PJPII quit talking and keep playing eventually you guys will be at the level you need to be at to be competitive with the best teams.
  19. Well, some teams have already had their springbreak. Such as, Science Hill who played D-B and shut those players up here. Hendersonville plays Franklin tomorrow. Gtown Houston goes to some tournament.
  20. Don't know if this is true, but if it is true. CONGRATULATIONS, on scheduling harder teams than Hendersonville.

    Bearden

Bearden is a team that I have not seen play, but by looking at the scores they confuse me. They certainly have the potential to beat the best teams (CBHS, MUS), but then they tie to Sevier and lose to Father Ryan that lost to CBHS by three goals. Were they lucky to win against the top teams or are they truly good, just inconsistant.
  22. I think that most games there is not a sense of bias, however, in games with a highly respected and successful program there is often a bias that has the ref letting the respected team get the benefit of the doubt and not the other team. These are the "overweight" refs that do this, but in games that are very important (state games), the best refs are there and do a great job considering the circumstances. As the best teams are quick, talented, and know the game well enough to get away with a foul (shielding the ball).
