  1. There was nothing unnecessary or unkind about my previous post. I felt that it was necessary to set the record straight and I do not think that it is unkind to state a point and support it with hard facts. If Coach Lewis was indeed misquoted, I hope that he has learned to be more careful when dealing with the Memphis press in the future. As he now knows, MBA fans also reside on the left side! As for you Sommers, I am glad that I provided you with an opportunity to continue to demonstrate that you are the undisputed MOB (Most Outstanding Bloviater) in Tennessee.

From The Commercial Appeal... Montgomery Bell Academy ended the Purple Wave's run with a 43-22 defeat in the Division 2 consolation semifinals. "We wrestled a team like Father Ryan earlier in the year and won, this time we just didn't get the breaks (over MBA)," Christian Brothers coach Chris Lewis said. "We had a (MBA) kid on their backs a couple of times and we didn't get the fall call. If we get a pin we win. Welcome to the PURPLE HAZE SPIN ZONE - the cold hard truth is that CBHS could not carry MBA's jock!
  3. I know its pretty early but who do you think right now is playing the best?
  4. Who is the best of DII-AAA this year? MBA BA McCallie CBHS Baylor MUS Father Ryan (This list isn't in any particular order.)

    MBA At McCallie

The game was amazing. MBA had to overcome many penalties but played very well. Howe had a great game completing 8-11 (I think). Synder had some huge runs and so did Johnson. The secondary played very well and MBA's defense shut down McCallie's running game only allowing 25 yds.

    MBA At McCallie

Billy Billington played d-line last year not tight end.
  7. Yes the pass yards do seem to be a worry but 74 of those were off one td throw when the 2's were in.
  8. Father Ryan has a decent team this year. They are better than they have been in years past. I still think MBA will win but Father Ryan is not as bad as some people might think.
  9. MBA rolled over Southaven tonight in a big victory. Both the offense and defense seemed to be producing very well.
  10. How will MBA fare vs. the Mississippi powerhouse of Southaven?
  11. I agree. MBA was pretty good on both sides of the ball this game. But there is still a lot of work to be done for the rest of season and plenty of room for improvement.
  12. I think MBA has the best and longest lasting tradition.
  13. You know it really doesn't matter why Hart chose to hang up his cleats. It's his own choice and there doesn't need to be a discussion about why he did based completely on opinions.

    Dead Period

I heard on the radio today that there will be an open football camp at BA the last two days of the dead period. Will BA players be able to attend it?
  15. Todd Moran, an assistant coach for mba, has replaced caudill as offensive line coach. He is a good smart coach and it shoudl be interesting to see what changes he will have made from coach Caudill's schemes
  16. Carver didn't necessarily have a bad game against MUS. he shouldn't have to stop wide open shots and the middies and D men weren't sliding correctly and such. Carver Morgan has alot of potential

    MBA vs. CHBS

MBA plays Christian Brothers on friday. Who do you think will win?
  20. MBA, because they beat both McCallie and MUS
  21. Hunter Armistead, a sophmore middie scored the final goal of the game.
  22. MBA 11- McCallie 10 in sudden death overtime.
  23. Even though mba lost Tom Santi their tight end, Drew Carney will step up to the challenge and play well I think. Next year's senior and junior classes are extremely strong even though they lost a lot of talent from last year.
