  1. VTEC, Your stats are correct now that they are updated, but if you check the date when I last posted on this thread, April 5th, those stats were correct. A lot of softball is played is 24 days, maybe not this season with so much rain, but you should probably check that out next time. As of April 5th, Amy was batting 9/18 which if my math is correct would be .500.
  2. Margaret Morris and Amy Josephson from Farragut are hitting well right now. I believe Marge is leading the team in RBI as the clean up hitter. She seems to always come through in the clutch. Lets hope that continues all season long. Josephson is batting .500 and seems to always be on base for Marge to hit her in. Lets hope that continues as well.
  3. "Soddy Daisy has a great outfield as does Farragut. Someone said Soddy and Farragut's centerfielder are going to play summer ball together. That will be a really good outfield if that is true" As good as that outfield would be, that is not true. Farragut's centerfielder is taking the summer off before continuing her softball career at Austin Peay.
  4. Since the season opener is less than a week away, I thought this topic would be appropriate. I have a pretty good idea what team has the best outfielders (FARRAGUT), but lets hear what others have to think.
  5. I agree just bc Cait is hurt doesnt mean that Haritage cant win. She has a great supporting cast, she makes everyone around her better and teaches them the game. They have learned alot from her and will be fine until region when Cait returns to lead her team to State along with Powell. ex. Brittany Jackson had the same injury and was back within 16 days
  6. Wow thats some steep competition but nothing us kids from Farragut cant handle. If I remember correctly Farragut beat some of those teams last season (GPS, William Blount, Knox Central, Walker Valley, and Boyd Buchanan) and the loss was to Soddy Daisy but that was without #1 pitcher, starting left fielder, 3rd baseman and designated hitter and only loss 4-1. I'm not saying its going to be easy but if it was than anyone could play. The hard is what makes the game great.
  7. Farragut is planning on winning it
  8. People need to stop kidding themselves and come to the conclusion that Cait is the best player in the state. Even Pat agrees, and I think she has a good eye for talent. Playing against Cait was probably the most fun I ever had playing basketball, but coming back and watching her manhandle my old teammates was something else. From the stands you get a whole different view of her abilities. She can score the points, get the boards, make the spectacluar pases, and play some tremendous defense. To comment on the not being a team player...the game I went to watcher she didn't even score in the 1st quarter bc of the type of defense but she dished it off the the posts. I honestly think she was close to a triple double. The only thing were the boards, she might have been one or two off. By far the best player!
  9. People don't need to rule out us kids from Farragut just yet, we still have some fight left in us. We are all dressed up and ready for the ball. The shoe just might fit for us this year. The clock hasn't struck Midnight yet so don't stomp on Cinderalla's gown this early. See yall in Memphis! Go FHS!
  10. are you an idiot? like seriously.. why would u even take the time to write all that stupid stuff and spell it all wrong too. next time if u want to write somethin of any importance try writing about Farragut softball (w/out a space) because they are going to state by the way... but yea um nice forum and way to be kiddo- neway good luck in your softball (w/out a space yet again) career. Sincerely, Your Biggest Fan!
  11. Yes, congrats to making it to state, but if I recall correctly Central had to travel to Morristown East to play. And why is that? Oh yeah because they lost to Farragut, who by the way is going to State as well. So I just wanted to give a little congrats to the Region Champs from Farragut!
  12. Yeah appearently Maryville is really good, but it looks like West is the "tourney team" out of those two. It's the start of a brand new season. Anything can happen.
  13. I don't think there should be drug tests for high school athletes. One reason the funding and another then well some teams might have problems fielding nine good players. You can basically tell if a kid does drugs, don't make it more humiliating for the parents. It's there kids let them deal with it.
  14. Margaret Morris from Farragut by far is one of the best pitchers in East Tennessee. Tonight she suffered her first district or region loss, but she pitched great. The only run was scored in the bottom of the 9th on a questionable play. It was definatly not an earned run. She throws it hard and makes them hit it. She has a defense that takes pride in backing her up. She has pitched several shut-outs and one or two hitters. I am proud of "My Ace"
  15. Anyone can post anything at any given time, but all that matters is that you bring it when you step between those chalk lines. Just remember the name on the front of the jersy is more important than the name on the back! Farragut is now out for blood, it's time for real softball to begin. This is a tourny sport, let the games begin!
