  1. even so though i thought catapano or lockwood would go atleast in the later rounds. most people in the 40-50 rounds are probably not going to sign anyway.
  2. underrated

    MLB

i would say in most cases the kid will go to college except in a case like kyle waldrops where he threw out a number to sign for and he got drafted high enough for a team to match it.
  3. its pretty difficult to get perfectly accurate times but a freshman from farragut ran a 6.6 this year. not bad for a youngster.
  4. well i was just sayin that the year they didnt go to the finals, they still did very well
  5. and third in the state the year they didnt go to the finals.
  6. I would give this year's to jordan cooper , a freshman, who threw the first game on thursday against collierville, which allowed lawson cheek to pitch for the second game and go to the championship game. we had to win two on thursday and he helped in the first step.
  7. Im sure Rob might have been a little off on those games. In an elimination game Rob will bring his stuff or fight with what he has. He won't lay down when it counts. If you are referring to Vandycomms2006 comment, he is not from farragut.
  8. i dont know much about ravenwood but rob will most likely not pitch on tuesday since he threw 120 pitches last night. I guess anyone could win that one. Will it be kyler versus drew in the collierville ooltewah game or did they pitch yesterday?
  9. I will agree with that. I don't think anyone ever picked us to go this far except for us. Many people didn't think we would make past districts, and honestly i wondered it myself with such a great district. But thanks for the heads up on DB. whoever we play, I think we will have a chance cause Catty will be pitching but it sounds like we would sleep much easier if we were playing Science Hill. Tonight is what coach calls a hardware game, but it might decide who goes to state and who doesnt because of the matchups.
  10. Yeah I have to agree. I doubt that LC's field has ever been field of the year either. And why wouldn't you want to come play on a team that was 94-3 over two years in the highest class (AAA) with the best competition. Those two teams made everyone else look like JV teams. Last year when Ty transferred we still managed to get 3rd in the state minus all those college signees and one first rounder.
  11. Thanks for your support yjacketalum. Im glad people see us as a class act. Ol Tommy always preaches it to us. Just wondering, whos your team?
  12. i'd give it to farragut since they beat karns 12-0 or something earlier in the year though i think both teams were just letting people get some innings on the mound during a tournament and also like 12-4 at the jamboree but that was preseason. who knows though in a more competitive atmosphere.
  13. bearden and farragut are the two unbeatens. they play tonight at 8 at south doyle. farragut beat sd 12-1 last night.
  14. i guess youre right about that
  15. yeah man very slow pitcher? He was an average high school pitcher about 80, 81. And there werent any errors. if there was it was like 1. Farragut had 20 hits i'd say thats just good hitting. SD threw brentz, its not like hes bad. he was bringing it pretty good. and if farragut has to play sd in district catapano will be pitching
  16. yeah this topic was completely unnecessary. sd run rule for sure.
  17. farragut v bearden is one of the biggest rivalries around
  18. well farragut almost did go 50-0 two years in a row
  19. i dont know if they are playing the best ball at the right time. that would be at the end of the year not in the middle. but anyway they are dominating the district like farragut has in recent years. does anyone know wb's district record?
  20. Well if you are playing lc and sevier county in the same week, hes gonna have to pitch agaisnt someone. it was district game anyway, and its better to let him pitch than let him get rusty. A perfect game is the perfect way to snap out of a little funk.
  21. jv teams don't matter, if there are good players they will be on varsity. farragut comes to mind. they start 4 freshman and sophomores on varsity and sometimes 5 depending on whos on the mound.
  22. rob didnt pitch and you could tell. the cherokees jumped on the first pitcher for 10 runs in the first and that was pretty much it. the next guy did a little better only giving up 3 runs the rest of the way but the final turned out 13-3. despite the blowout here i think it will be a different story at farragut and catapano pitching.
  23. i often see alot of players on coacht who brag about their team or other players. in some cases they bring it on themselves.
  24. rob was not locating well. he left the ball up consistently and he couldnt get his breaker across for a strike on many occasions and it also did not have its usual sharpness. his velocity wasnt its normal dominant self either. ill give bearden credit for hitting what he threw, but he definitly was not his normal self. i believe farragut hit a home run as well so i dont think they were all cheap hits. there was also a few line drives as well as i recall.
  25. rob pitched tonight and had an off night in a loss to bearden. if he pitches against sd i dont expect him to have to off nights in a row. should be a good game
