  1. If the player from OS was a senior, I can assume he is either 17 or 18 years old.. Maybe a trip to the jail could do something for him....
  2. Great game played by Sunbright, Brad Honeycutt pitched very well and the Tigers hit the ball hard.. Also some awesome defense plays in the field, especially the diving catch by Sunbright center fielder Michael Spurling, and then he had the presence of mind to throw a rocket to first base to double up the runner
  3. Bigdave, you know it man.. Glad to see our program reach this new level.. Very proud to be a Central Bulldog...
  4. Funny how its always the referee's fault... Face it, two good teams went out and played very hard.. one team won the other lost.. Referee's don't dictate a game as much as people might think...
  5. WE'RE GOING TO THE BORO' CONGRADUATIONS BULLDOGS, CAN'T WAIT FOR WEDNESDAY.. ALLREADY REQUESTING OFF WORK.. YOU'VE MADE US ALL PROUD, NOW GO TO THE STATE AND BRING US HOME A TITLE!!!
  6. I have to commit on this one.. Being a referee for several years now I know that these guys are not showing favorites, especially when it gets into tournament time, I'm sure there was a supervisor at the game criticing them on every move they made. It may seem like calls are going only one way, but thats just the way it happens sometimes. Great Job Bulldogs, both the Ladies and the Boys have made me proud. Now bring us home 2 Reigon Championships and lets make the first trip to the state tournament in school history..... Spur The Voice of The Football Dawgs
  7. In Coalfields defnese.. It was raining the whole game in Union County, and very diffucult to handle the ball and run... Wartburg definently has big play potential in this one.. We only ran 23 offensive plays against Sunbright and put up 35 points. (176 passing yards and 146 rushing yards) wel held Sunbright to only 116 rushing yards on 46 carries, thats only 2.5 yards per carry, if we are able to hold Coalfield like that it won't even be close.. However, CF has a lot more speed than Sunbright, and it will be our first big test for the D line.. In the end though I see Wartburg still on top. How big of a role will the officials play in this one could be crutial.
  8. I think that Home field advantage will play a big role in this years game, as will the officiating.. Turnovers may determine the outcome, but I see Wartburg pulling it off in the end. Final Score prediction Wartburg 28 Coalfield 20. By The Way, look for some new things coming from the pressbox this season in Wartburg... Should have some good music and still the same energy. (Wish we could get some new speakers though)
  9. Just to answer another question asked. I adrove by HHS the other day and the home bleachers are looking great. A big improvment for their field. They still won't win more than 2 games this year though.
  10. My Blood runs Bulldog Blue, but I think Sunbright will be a little inproved this year, with it being the first game of the year, and with turnovers, I say wartburg 28 sunbright 6
  11. This is what makes the Wartburg Coalfield Rivary awesome.. even the old folgies get into it... just kidding guys.... Its going to be a great game.. The Spur Voice of the Dawgs
  12. I also see this one being another classic in the rivary. Wartburg has lost a ton of seniors, and Coalfield lost a great QB (as did WB) I think leadership and turnovers will play a huge factor in this one.. I see it being no a 7 pt game.. Whichever team has the big play will win the game.. The Spur The Voice of the Dogs
  13. I believe Dad had that game.. I'll ask him in the morning how it went.. He did say it was a decent game.
  14. 11-8 Wartburg Wins.... enough said I guess...lol
  15. Cambpell Co and Wartburg squared off in a non district matchup this afternoon, The game began at 4:30 and CC had to be in Jellico for a 7 pm game.. After a very long two innings, the game was close, but CC pulled away in the 3rd and 4th, to take the victory 18-5. The game ended at 6:20, and its at the very least an hour and 20 minutes to Jellico from wartburg and thats if you speed. If anyone can update the later game with Jellico it would be appreciated.
