Nothing happened to Hixson's seniors and most of us do have more class than to tear up the field. Someone came last night and put spraypaint all over the football stadium and poured bleach and stuff on the field. I don't know who did the vandalizing but it was probably just three or four losers that thought it would be funny to trash the football field. That small group makes our whole class look bad and that is a shame. But I guess they knew better than to mess with the baseball field.

Walker Valley is no joke but they are beatable. If Hixson puts together a solid game on Monday, they will give them a run for their money. When Hixson shows up with their A game, even though it doesnt happen that often, they are very hard to beat.

Walker Valley is tough to beat but so is Hixson when they are playing well. If Hixson manages to play good defense and get the bats going, I say they will win in a very close game. If they play like they did the last games of the district tournament, Walker Valley will walk all over them. Hixson 4 Walker Valley 2

Sandlot5......Smalls is a big part of the Hixson team but he is not just worried about himself. He really wants to win all the time so it may seem to you like he gets upset when he doesn't do well. and please don't tell me what his teammates say about him unless you are on the team. Just quit hating on Hixson's program and face the fact that your season is over. Stay off coach t and go play on your playstation or something.

Walker Valley is a really good team but they are beatable just like every other good team. The reason they have had so much success this year is that they play great defense behind their pitchers and they put the ball in play at every at bat. Great defense and good hitters equals a successful season...

i am still wondering why mr. hiway58 is soo worried about Hixson and their home runs.... give it a break man.

Alright fella32 cool down yourself... no one is trying to blow any smoke about anything. Hixson doesn't have "muscular home run hitters" they just have a bunch of average kids that have good swings. The strongest guy on the team only has one home run this year. Also, hixson has hit just as many home runs away from our "tiny field" as they have at home. so quit hating on us and go home and play baseball on your playstation all summer because your real baseball season is over.

Actually Hiway58, I think it will be a low scoring game that will come down to who plays the best defense. It will be a good game but i see Hixson coming out on top 4 to 3.

This game is going to come down to who wants it the most. Hixson is going to cut down the errors and keep the bats hot. Grundy will continue to put the ball in play and make plays on defense. It should be a close game and a exciting ending to this district tournament.

I dont know how you can get the win if you come in to pitch when your team already has the lead. Looks to me like Tobys recore should be 8-2 not 9-2. Little things like that can give him an edge on player of the year. Not fair if you ask me.

"Wildfire" from Grundy is one of the most interesting players i have ever seen. He always keeps his team up and doesn't get upset if there is a collision at first base and he gets shaken up a bit. This guy is fun to watch and even more fun to listen to.

If Centrals J.V. is so good, maybe they should have played the other night against Ooltawah. Baylor is a good team and if Central's JV beat them then maybe they should have earned a spot on the Varsity team before the fireworks went off against Ooltawah.

One reason that players are getting hurt more these days is that no one knows how to get hit any more. Players aren't taught to turn away from the ball as much and this results in some serious injuries. A ball that hits you in the back will leave a mark but a ball that hits you in the face or the hand could brake a bone and end your season. Players need to relearn the art of getting hit.
