The Maryville Freshmen just defeated the Alcoa JV 22-21 at the Skeeter. Great job guys!!!!!

The only thing that Maryville had to do in week 0 was to look better that Halls and they did that. Game was close for 3 quarters but they play 4.

This is a message to all of the LC parents that wanted to run Nick White out of town. He is gone now and the supporters of Rebel Football are excited to have him coaching DB's for Maryville next year. He is a good coach and a good teacher and we are very happy that he is now a Rebel just like his brother. Many years ago, I met coach White's dad and it is very clear that both of his boys had very good parents when they were growing up. That sounds like the High School version of the College BCS game. The teams that play 5 playoff games already effect the basketball team at their school. I don't see it happening but it makes for good conversation.

Three things will happen when Maryville moves up to 5A with the ( BIG BOYS ) in 2009. A LOT of coaches in 4A are going to be very happy, A lot of coaches in 5A are going to be unhappy and Maryville will play the last game in Murfreesboro on championship Saturday in December. Untill that takes place, there will be many threads on CoachT talking about how Maryville is lucky, they play down, they play nobody, they need to play out of state, they cheet, they recruit, they allow tuition students to play, they couldn't win with Maryville players only and BLA BLA BLA BLA. Enjoy your 2007 Gold Ball Smyrna, you had a great year. If Smyrna plays Maryville in 2009 and you beat us, we will tip our hat to you and say good game but we will not lay down to any 5A school just because you are the BIG BOYS. I think the co-op thing is correct. They might make Maryville move up to 5-A this year and make them forfit all their games. They are talking about getting all the coaches together from the teams we beat and let them play blackjact for a chance to go to Murfreesboro on Saturday to play Maplewood. Rebel9

The tuition has gone up to $2,500 per year for the 2007/2008 school year and some parents keep paying it. I think there are 5 players out of 100 that pay tuition but that number might be incorrect.

Pretty good so far. We had 8 players at the game last night that were from South Florida and we should have 10 at the game next saturday in Mufreesboro. With any luck we should have all of them in the barn by Christmas. We just got a new Lier Jet that will allow us to fly as many as 12 players in at one time. That should really help in the future. Nobody from Maryville is on here talking about this game being easy. We know that it will be a battle and will spend this week trying to prepare for a good team with a great QB. We know that we are in for a battle Friday night at the Black Hole. Rebel9

Heather, I think coach Quarters wants you and your side kick Mickey to come over and cover the game on Friday. Don't forget to bring DADDY Pat so he can tell everyone that West is really playing the Knoxville Rebels. Mabey he can explain the transfer rules in Knoxville that allows a player to start for two different schools in a two year period when the schools are in the same city.
