Gallatin, are you really ticked off, mad, fired up, p-o'd, angry, ... better not be. That's what happened against McGavock this year and Hunters Lane last year.

McGavock's in the catbird seat - SMILING with new found confidence. Gallatin had a terrible loss vs. McGavock. Hunters Lane had a terrible loss vs. Glencliff. Antioch, however, seems to have suffered the most - emotionally. I think they're done, and will miss the playoffs, finishing 2-4 in the region.

Quite simply, you have stated no facts. After being cursed, "we ain't praying with no f---ing metro team", while asking for a group prayer, a handful of players did indeed yell "metro", and they were quickly silenced by their coach, as well as teammates. The only conversation between the head coaches after the game, other the normal handshake and good-game comments, was HL's coach telling GHS's coach about the request for prayer. GHS's coach then declined. HL then did their midfield prayer like always before moving off the field. NO PARENT, COACH OR OTHER HEARD ANYONE FROM HL CURSE LASSITER. THAT'S A TOTAL LIE. Abner was liked because you whipped his teams. Had you lost in '02 to end your season, you'd poor mouth him too. By the way, the same player who cursed out the HL captain asking about the prayer, continually gouged HL players in the eyes during the game. 5 or 6 players left the game after being gauged in the eyes. And a few GHS fans, including two elderly men, were still taunting HL kids as they left the field, this included racial epithets. How classy is that? FINAL COMMENT ON THIS SUBJECT FROM ME: Most of the Gallatin players had class, even during a tough night. Ditto for most fans. A few HL players did yell "metro" after the game. Even if provoked, they were wrong. The accusations that HL lacks discipline and class is absurd. And finally, come on down Dickerson Road, pay your $6 for the 7:00 kickoff, and sit on the visitor side. Watch the game. But, don't start no stuff that you can't finish. And you best not wear no green in Tommy's Country Playhouse after the game.

You moronic, backwoods, cousin-marrying idiot, Gallatin was demolished on the field by Hunters Lane's last season. At the conclusion of the game HL's players asked Gallatin's players to meet at midfield and pray together, just as they had done after every game for the entire season. Every other opponent, win or lose, did so. HL even held a prayer along with Franklin after Franklin made a tremendous comeback to end HL's season in the playoffs. To catagorize these kids as "disrespectful thugs" just illustrates your limited use of brain cells. Post-game prayers with opponents became a part of HL's post-game routine after it was suggested to the players by Steve Robinson and Lee Brown from the FCA. They explained that the practice is spreading from the NFL on down, and wanted HL to help the trend locally. The FCA was instrumental in guiding HL's players through the loss of a team member in preseason camp. Gallatin's players (some) responded by cursing, pushing, and demeaning the HL players who were seeking a unified prayer. Upon being cursed, "we ain't praying with no ----ing metro team", the HL players assembled at midfield to pray alone. Your sacred midfield "G" must have some importance to your players at the conclusion of games. This was unknown to any HL player. And by the way, if I were you, I'd like Abner better too, he didn't end you playoff hopes, spoil senior night, and light up your scoreboard. And finally, CoachT was engineered to promote high school athletics. When ignorant comments are formed by annonymous people and directed dishonestly at individuals or schools, some people reading this website may actuallly believe the comments. You obviously either don't know the facts, are misrepresenting the facts, or are just seeking to ease your wounds by belittling others.

What is required of football players during the summer before practice begins? Some play baseball, others basketball. Some work, others go out of town. What is required at your school? What penalties are given to those who don't meet the requirements?

If McGavock does not hire a capable coach then they will get what they deserve ... more 1-9's and embarassments. Bubba Spears is in the building, has an impressive record with much experience, and could build a PROGRAM, not just a team, like he had at Stratford. But does he have a chance to get this job?
