  1. 3rd or 4th place Reg. 3 4A as usual. thumb
  2. Are these games played on the same field, if so how do you anticipate playing a high school football game in 2 hours, Reference a 6:00 and 8:00 PM kickoff.
  3. Folks, first of all, I am Central ALL the way. Here is some food for thought. Fulton plays in 3-A which in my opinion isnt as strong as Reg 3-4A where Central plays. BUT they have DOMINATED their classification for three years and I think if the Falcons competed in 3-4A, they would compete for playoff spots with Central Maryville, Powell. If it werent for Maryville, Central may have a couple of State titles in the trophy case. In fact the ONLY 4-A team to defeat the BobCats the past two years has been the RedRebels from Blount County. Both schools have quality programs and are well coached. I really think these would be 2 evenly matched teams and I certainly dont think either program or COACH is afraid of the other. It would be great to renew the rivalry, and the game would be something to watch, but hey, all this name calling and arguing is quite uncalled for. Some folks on here need to be realistic and quit embarrasing the programs they support. The bottom line is, these are KIDS that play the game, in fact MANY of Fultons contributing players came thru the Bobcat youth program. We should be proud of both schools for representing the Knoxville area in a positive way.
  4. Jamie Wilson at Central is a special athlete but Im not sure he is quite ready for Friday night football, I do think he will see playing time and he is very capable, but theres a big physical difference between being a freshman and competing against 17 and 18 year old young men. Styles is a good athlete but NOT on the same level as Wilson, Central is deep at receiver, and Styles would be better off competing against other freshman. Dont get me wrong, Im a HUGE Bobcat fan, I just dont think any program can expect to be successful on a high level, if your depending on Freshman athletes to be a big factor. thumb
  5. Wrong!!!! Central scrimmaged Rhea County and then drove back to Knoxville.
  6. Clinton South Doyle Lenoir City Hey NOBODY else stands a CHANCE!!
  7. Just for all you RedRebel fans, Knox Central scrimmaged Region 4-4A favorite Rhea County on Thursday In Cookeville, and the Bobcats dominated both sides of the ball winning 49-0. A number of kids saw action including several Freshman. The Cats seem to have much more balance in the offense with several capable receivers and a MUCH improved O-Line since last spring. The weakness for the BobCats right now would be overall depth. Ill tell you there are more capable freshman players than sophomores. Im glad to hear Quarles indicate there will be a few 2 way players for the RedRebels as that is uncommon for Maryville. In my opinion if Maryville manages a win against Alcoa, it will be a HUGE boost for that young offense, and then LookOut.
  8. This scrimmage was dominated from the first snap to the last by the Cats, do you not think all coaches sub liberally in scrimmages? Man I would like to see your face this year when your Panthers are dominated, as usual, by Central and Maryville.
  9. Knox Central scrimmaged Rhea County whom is picked to win Reg. 4-4A on Thursday, and the Bobcats dominated winning 7 Tds to 0 for Rhea County.
  10. Runner why dont you ask Coatney that question, man their LOADED with tallant from all over town, Time to quit running, this Falcon team can play with anyone.
  11. Powell may have tallent and returning starters, but they DONT have Quarles and Company. Your talking about a Powell team with the same staff that couldnt run the clock and nearly lost to west , REMEMBER. Ill say this, it wont take long to find out about the RedRebels, as they play Powell and then 2 weeks later face Central, all before October, Just remember, the ones that count are played in November boys.
  12. My team Middlesboro will play the 1st game @ 6:00 against Whitley County and Bell Co/Central will play 30 minuets after that game (Usually around 7:30 or 8:00. 825706555[/snapback] How in the world do you anticipate playing a HighSchool football game in an hour 1/2 to 2 hours. Do they not play a full 4 quarters?
  13. Hey Nick the caps are killing me man.
  14. Runner I know scrimmages arent games, but your runners have been slammed by Central, in scrimmages the last few years. Last year they were beaten pretty good (To Be Kind) by both Central and Farragut, yet AE was dominate in their schedule. 3-A is WEAK my friend. Sorry man, but in your own words, Just keeping it REAL
  15. Folks, life goes on, last year at this time everybody was talking about Baron Huber and Lee Smith leaving Central for Powell. Well in my humble opinion it didnt affect the season that much. Football is a team sport, Jeff County folks need to hang tough and move forward, one player does not a team or season make. As far as transfers, their legal, and yes, sometimes the Rich get Richer, just ask Maryville, Alcoa and Knox Fulton. People can say what they want, but kids want to win, and winning is the best recruiter of all. thumb Let me be clear, im not accusing anyone of recruiting. The only thing these programs are guilty of is Winning.
  16. Any 4-A poll that includes Tennessee High and NOT Powell or Central is simply Bogus.
  17. Scores for Monday July 19, 2005 Knox Central 27, Seymour 15 Webb 21, Farragut 6 Rockwood 36, Kings Academy 14 Oak Ridge 29, Harriman 8 Please add any info and comments.
  18. Hmmmm, sounds like an unfair advantage. Maybe?
  19. FBE, I've ignored you ridiculous post relevant to Knox Central in the past, to be honest you seem to be a wanna be KNOW IT ALL! In my posts, I usually try to be on an even keel, and not look thru rose colored glasses, unlike yourself, I am not a hater. The comment by VitaVol was an uncalled for and tasteless remark and you know it. By the way, Helton will be playing his 4th year as a starter.
  20. RebelNation, do they breed these folks in Blount County or are they just biological accidents?
  21. Zach sees the field extremely well when he stays in the pocket, and finds open receivers when scrambling. As for the lack of receivers for Watts, Hmm, I wander how many receptions his 6ft 8in TightEnd had last year? Remember Lee Smith?? Poor Cody, he just did it alone didnt he. Listen, both kids are great players, and very close friends, and to be honest with a little better game coaching last year, the Panthers might have defeated our Bobcats at home.
  22. My understanding is, the family is moving to the area, the school they choose will determine where they live. It is my understanding these kids are very good players. In all honesty, I follow the Cats, but you couldnt blame them for choosing Fulton, Coach Black has been around for a LONG time and Fulton is the defending state AAA Champions.
