I still think Blackman and Smyrna could probably beat you. The team that can beat you doesn't always have to be the best team. Y'all could be a better team then us but we still could win. Y'all may win , I don't even know but the thing is it can happen. Like seriously, sorry if I offended anyone with that comment. I'm fans of all those teams and if they ain't playing us then I want them to win.

How is it disrespectful, I'm obviously a riverdale fan. I use to go to riverdale. I graduated from riverdale. I think riverdale is a very good football team. Would it be easier if I said wow we suck Maryville is going to kill us? Is that what respect for your program is... That I must bow down to y'all? I have respect for Maryville, I do think y'all are good and have always had a good football team over many years. I just think we can beat you, that's not disrespect?

I just want to say im excited we got this far, I cant wait to travel to maryville. I've never been- so it should be fun! I'm sure it will be a great game!!

Made me whole entire night! I love riverdale!!!

I always get there 2hours early and I'm always like the 1st or 2nd one in. I think they usually open it around that time. However when we played cookeville they opened it like 20 mins late so I had to stand there and wait. I would say it should be opened at 5 maybe a few minutes sooner!!

I think this is the first time all year riverdale wasn't the predicted favorite to win the game. I definitely see more statements of Blackman beating Riverdale- Well I certainly hope it isn't true but don't really know till friday! Good luck to both but im hoping riverdale can pull it off!

Hm I personally don't think it had alot to do with the money. I mean I'm pretty sure I pay 7 to get in to Riverdale normally so the extra $1 each for me and my 6yr old doesn't really bother me. I know some kids parents don't want to come off $8 for a game when they could go see a movie for the same price but I bet that's probably not very many. So yea the money does take away from the crowd but I'd hope any real fan would be there no matter what. I think there were several factors contributing to our low attendance this past week. The weather, it was just to cold at the Oakland game the week before and I think some people realized that so because they dont even know who coffee county is it wasn't worth them to come. I saw several people on twitter write.. I'm not going to the game if it's going to get colder. Also yes we know no playoff game is a given but I know no one really thought Riverdale was going to lose to CC. Like for me my dad was like great I'm off this weekend I can make this game. I was like ok cool so all week he planned on it and then on Friday I made a comment about it being a blowout, he said what, tell about who y'all are playing so I did and he said ohh I'm good I don't want to see that game. So I'm sure some people didn't come because of our opponent. Like they hype the games up at school like the big ones, so your going to see a huge turnout at all Rutherford county game (with the exception of Lavergne) because the school makes students all week want to go to that game. We would do fun things, we would get shirts, we would have the biggest pep rally but not just a normal one like the staff would go all out. That made the students want to come. Other weeks it's like oh it's a football game... Cool. So students who aren't like big football fans aren't like hey mom I want to go to this game. I will certainly hope and expect that the attendance should be up similar to what it was at the earlier Riverdale Blackman match. That game was a cold one and had the rain mixed in for the people who got their super early such as myself. it was also a Thursday game so I think that took away from some of the attendance and since the weather was bad I know of quite a few people who just watched it on tv. With that being said I believe maybe a few, not a ton, but a few Oakland people and maybe even a few Smyrna people might make this trip to the game. So it should go up as the stakes get higher.. But no matter who wins Riverdale or Blackman I expect attendance to drop for the 3rd round of the playoffs for reasons mentioned above!!

They had to have asked for it... I was standing right in front of their press box and while all the Riverdale fans were screaming to stop the clock so we would have enough time to score again. They didn't and the coaches didn't care because I turned around and looked at them. They also didn't even return to the pressbox not once after half time, and we weren't even up by 35 yet. They wanted it that way. Also in the 3rd qtr they called a timeout and I believe that was even before we were up by 35 and the clock ran the whole time through their time out. Like seriously it was bad

HA OK OK, im so wrong! thanks, i figured that out after i wrote it. just with whatever confusion was going on between smyrna and franklin is frustrating, and see i hate overtime games, probably dont help that between hs, college, and nfl there all done differently. i wish there was something that could be done but know its to late. I probablly say this and im pretty unpopular with this thought but i wish they played another quarter. i know it wouldnt always be a relaistic thing just becuase that could end up in a whole lot of extra time for players to get hurt and be tired and what not. so in that case with how it is now i would always want to play defense and take 2nd possession becuase then you know what you have to do to win so i would want to win the toss to make that choice and not go in to a 2nd ot but that would be my personal choice lol. I dont do overtime games as i said up there, that stuff is way to stressful for me!!

yeah I just read that in the smyrna game thread. I dont understand how you cannot know that its a new coin toss each ot. You know girls know nothing about sports (according to others on here) and even i knew that rule. That is a shame. I hate OT as it is so stressful so if yall are going to beat us please do it in regulation, i can not live threw a playoff game that resorts to OT!

with how our defense played last night, i can bet it does turn out looking more like the score of a basketball game then a football game.

We lost 2 teams out of the playoffs tonight. Oakland and Smyrna. I said Smyrna could beat Maryville I didnt say Oakland would. So pretty sure thats only 1 team that's out that I said that about. And ok we will see - have a great night:)

Yeah he got his knee brace in earlier this week and he said he is playing next week. So he should be good to go unless something happens during practice. But as of now I'm positive. We really need him so I'm really hoping it all works out, he was definitely missed out there!

I'm really excited for this game. I've been wanting for this rematch with the train playing this time. Lamar will be back so I'm happy he is coming for this game!! It's sure to be a good one. I have no predicitions yet!! Let's go Riverdale!!

Ok? Smyrna is a very good team and so they lost? I wasn't there I don't know what happened during the game. It doesn't matter because Riverdale is where it's at.. Maybe we will meet again. But until then I'm worried about the Blackman game and nothing else!
