I agree. I wish we had one or two more tough games like Maryville, Knox Central, Riverdale, or McCalliie for example. As for Gate City, they talk........alot. I have seen scrimmages and it is not at all equal. They always want a shot at the big guy. Playing them would draw a crowd, but would not gain experience for DB. But then again playing AAA Sullivan North doesnt either. Gate City has been asked before and rejected.

JPATS, I think that Jeff County is bursting with talent. I know they have speed coming out the ying yang. I Know DB will have a tough defense. I know DB has Lamon and that Ferguson may be a good one to throw the ball. Its weighed out like this DB : Huge fan support, Huge loud band (war hoop) Lamon, Defense, Jeff County win streak gives them a slight mental edge, DB would love to spoil a good thing (they know Jeff is loaded) Things not certain: Offensive line, Duran Ferguson, Can they run the ball? Pass defense may be a little thin Jeff County : Tons of skill people and speed, Lots of returning starters It looks darn good, I mean really good Things not certain: Everything is there to be awesome, but sometimes it just does not all come together Example UT last year. Will the fans come back out to see Jeff County like in the past? Will the streak DB has had hamper them mentally? I see a game not won by more than 17 points either way. Too many variables. Way to many.

I have noticed JPATS5 talking up Jeff County for awhile now. And I am sure they will no doubt be good and fast as you say. It seems to me that you have an obsession with beating Dobyns Bennett. Now we all have our own opinions as you say. My opinion is that you have a grudge, you never played for Jeff County (or prob just never got to play if you were on the team) and that you dated a male cheerleader in High School. Just an opinion, like you say, we all have them, now respect that!!

Skunk, I went to Sevier and DB so those are my top two. I always knew Sevier had some great coaches and athletes which all feeds into DB. How about you? Who do you pull for?

Anyone remember Kingport DB's Adonis Johnson? Words can't describe how unreal he was. He was maybe 5'5 or 5'6 and MAYBE 175. Quick and powerful. They sound similar. Plays at ETSU and I don't know what he will do since football is extinct there.
