  1. DB played and beat Knoxville schools includining Oak Ridge in regular season, DB won the conference all but maybe 2 years. You can't even beat a Knoxville team once as a TN High fan? sad 1998 AAAA Greeneville L 35-6 Early Round 2000 AAAA David Crockett W 42-20 Early Round AAAA Morristown West L 21-7 Early Round 2001 AAAA Cocke County W 25-22 Early Round AAAA Elizabethton W 20-14 Early Round AAAA Morristown West L 30-10 Quarterfinal 2002 AAAA Volunteer W 42-7 Early Round AAAA Greeneville L 40-8 Early Round 2003 AAAA Morristown East W 28-14 Early Round AAAA Morristown West L 35-0 Early Round 2004 AAAA Morristown West W 17-6 Early Round AAAA Sullivan South W 31-17 Early Round AAAA Elizabethton W 35-18 Quarterfinal AAAA Maryville L 49-0 Semifinal 2005 AAAA Cherokee W 35-12 Early Round AAAA Morristown West L 28-11 Early Round 2006 AAAA Volunteer W 35-12 Early Round AAAA Morristown West L 30-0 Early Round 2007 AAAA Volunteer L 21-14 Early Round 2008 AAAA Morristown West W 49-35 Early Round AAAA Greeneville L 30-23 Early Round
  2. What is funnny?!! I a, a DB fan and have never heard any such talk. It is always people like you claiming this. And it is always you Tennesse High fans claiming to be world beaters but can never get by a Knoxville team. Too bad DB played in a Knoxville league for years and won it almost every year. Oh whats that? You want to say DB chokes in the playoffs? Fact is, DB has more wins against teams west of Morristown, whom nobody round here can beat. You may think it is great to get to the 3rd round playing a weak #### team east of Knoxville. The truth is<DB plays real teams first round. Jeff County who Db played 1st round would DESTROY all in upper east TN. Bearden, would beat you ALL so bad it would not be funny. So, you are a fool, and I bet your team is out.
  3. Cap1, I like it when you post like this. I think what all our teams in the area need to focus on is getting better as a whole. We all have a problem with teams beyond Morristown. Is it talent? Money? Interest? Structure? I don't know. But I do know there is a wall there. Now lucky for the schools not in 6A, you don't hit that wall until later rounds, but DB has to take it on in rounds 1 and 2. I am telling you, the facts and stats don't lie, our area can be world beaters locally, and average with the rest of the state. Discuss!
  4. Bearden fans, what is radio station is the game carried on for you guys?
  5. In the past 10 years DB, TN High, and South Have about almost exactly the same wins bs losses in the playoffs. DB has the best, then South, then TN High. TN High had only two playoff wins that I think are west of morristown in ten years being seymour (really a small school playing up) and an ever impressive Cocke County in a 1st round. South has a few more, not many. What is funny is that DB owned all the bigger schools west of Morristown in the regular season and had problems with Chattanooga, or Oak ridge are teams. You know, good teams. Until, South or Tn High can establish any type of streak over good teams, like Jeff co, Oak Ridge, Farragut then remain silent. I know that these schools are in 6a and you are 5a, but still, beat any 5a team in the previously mentioned schools and then talk. Beat Powell, Halls, anyone. Neither of you can. It is sad. So when DB plays a real team first round (which Jeff co would have stomped south or Tn High) and wins, get back to me. Next up Bearden, which would stomp any other team near besides MAYBE Greeneville.
  6. I know the past does not matter. But remember Bearden is 1-12 against DB with their only win coming in 2007. That 2007 score was 8-7 Bearden against a very down DB team. In 2008 DB won at Bearden 31-14 and DB held back. The past is the past and both teams are new, but DB has had their number and is 12-1 and that one win was by 1 point and it was a close game.
  7. I was shocked TN High got out to a 21-0 lead. Props to South for staying in it to win it. I feel like a lead that big early should have ended closer and favored TN High. But I was not there, and South got it done. I want to know if any TN High fans are frustrated with play calling, coaching, etc. I feel like they have some talent. Tell us Cap
  8. what are younger Sensabaugh's measurements? I know he is pretty hoss as a 9th grader.
  9. You are right, I don't want none of this anyway.
  10. CAP1 came on here like the man he is and that should be respected. All the talk between us all is fun and means little, to man up is what sports is all about. Tip of the hat to Cap1 and TN High you all got the short end of the stick tonight. Luck to you all in the future. Let us please leave him alone, he ate his crow and was a man about it. Thanks
  11. PREP FOOTBALL: D-B demolishes Vikings By Nate Hubbard Published: October 08, 2010 KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- It didn’t take analysis from gurus, pundits or any other matter of football know-it-alls to explain what happened to Tennessee High on Friday night at Dobyns-Bennett. Instead, it was three little words from a cherub-faced boy decked out in a Jr. Vikings jersey in the stands that summed up the performance of his heroes. "They’re getting humiliated," the youngster groused with a there’s-no-Santa-Claus level of disbelief in his high-pitched voice just before the Vikings returned from the locker room at halftime down 41-0. Dobyns-Bennett scored the first six times it touched the ball Friday night on its way to a 41-14 demolition of Tennessee High. Indians quarterback Sean Seabolt rushed for 157 yards and four touchdowns and running back Chris Sensabaugh added 111 yards on the ground and another TD before each watched the second half from the sidelines. The win puts D-B (7-0, 4-0) firmly in control of the Big Eight Conference title chase, while the defending champion Vikings (5-2, 3-1) will now need help to claim back-to-back crowns. "We’ve just got to put this behind us and focus on the next three games," said Vikings senior tight end Brendan Downs, who had one of the few positive stat lines for Tennessee High with six catches for 104 yards. "We’ve got to win out so that’s going to be our main goal." With games still remaining against tough Sullivan South and Daniel Boone squads, pulling off three straight victories will be a tall task for the Vikings if Friday’s showing is any guide. Seabolt ran for 26, 34, 26 and 54 yards on his first four carries – with attempts two, three and four going for touchdowns – as the Indians rushed for 243 yards in the first quarter alone. In the first half, D-B had 362 yards on the ground and held the Vikings to a lone yard on 13 carries, including three sacks of quarterback Austin Snyder. Despite playing backups for the final 24 minutes, D-B finished with 464 total yards – including 432 rushing yards, one less than the 433 yards on the ground Tennessee High relinquished in a 56-7 loss to Greeneville. The Vikings, meanwhile, could manage only 188 total yards, with most of those coming after the game was well in hand. "They were really getting to the outside on [our] defense and just using their speed to the best they could and our offense couldn’t get much going at the beginning either," Downs said. "We just didn’t have outside support at all," added senior defensive end Bobby Quinn. As part of their 10-0 regular season last year, the Vikings beat D-B 27-12 and led 27-0 at the half. Things couldn’t have gone more differently Friday. "This was probably the most revenge game we wanted this year," Seabolt said. "We just got straight embarrassed last year. We did not come out to play and we wanted to do the same thing that they did to us last year. And we got it done." Seabolt said getting off to a fast start was a point of emphasis for the Indians before the game. "We had to jump on them early and that’s one thing we haven’t done all year," he said. "We wanted to do that and they quit so we just kept going." D-B coach Graham Clark said the Indians’ turnaround performance against the Vikings was exactly what he wanted to see. "That last year was probably the worst performance since Roseanne Barr sang the national anthem," Clark said. "We were really bad last year and they were really good – that had a lot to do with it, too. Our guys [Friday] had a good focus about them." One of the few highlights for the Vikings in the first half was sophomore Michael Payne’s sack of Seabolt, the first allowed by the Indians’ offensive line on the season. Other than that one hiccup, though, the D-B blockers were unstoppable. "It’s wide open every time because the offensive line is so great," Seabolt said. Quinn said the Tennessee High defense hardly even had a chance to put a hit on the D-B quarterback. "We couldn’t get to him," he said.
  12. Scrimmages don't mean much but DB did win the Greeneville scrimmage. I think we can all agree that DB and Greeneville are tops in upper East TN.
  13. 41 - 0 at the half. DB had mercy and did not try to punch it in right before the half when they had the ball in the redzone and instead let the clock run out. Could have been 100 - 0 final. DB had second stringers in, in the 2nd quarter. Coach Clark did not want to hurt their feelings. Complete domination. DB won 41 14
  14. Same thing was said about Gilligan. State champ talks were even common on here upon his hire.
  15. Um, talk about sentence structure!? See the previous. Glad you majored in double nothings. As far as info, I asked you first.
  16. Cap is a crap specialist. His written anthem is first off: deny that his own team TN High can lose and if they do make up a crap reason; 2nd reason and really maybe should be first reason; follow Dobyns Bennett and post about Dobyns Bennett more than his own team (TN High) which in itself cries for help and a for sure need of medication; and last claim that anyone that does not agree with his postings might be a fool. Yes it is true; go back and look (before he deletes all of his postings) Cap1 is a high school football sicko, and in some states might be arrested. And of course, expect his insane reply which will no doubt accuse me and or other DB fans of insanity; that Cap1 already takes part of. Written disclosure; anything Cap1 says could be false.
  17. Buddy, I have more education than your entire family. So if you want to compare your piece of paper to mine, go ahead and declare it. I am certified and you can call my schools to confirm. If you don't have a Doctorate degree, I would not take on my open challenge to make the extent of both of our career paths known. Bring it. But, your name and email and other personal info must be disclosed.
  18. That is funny CPU man because I seem to remember Riverdale beating #1 Oakland all over the field and Laing cause of the kicking game by a few points. That same riverdale team struggled with Farragut until the end (despite two score final) Farragut was up most the game. Db killed Farragut. Your made up story is sad at best. Your son ihas graduated now you don't have to make up stories to make south sound better. The truth is DB beat south all over the field tonight. Refs kept it close and really db at home has no advantage being that every school around there hates db. So you really think a group of local refs favor db when most went to county schools? That is insane. My family went with a south family that was embarrassed of the both the refs and souths play. Then my mother was cussed out in our own schools parking lot by south fans while their south friends were with them. Again, our south fans apologized. Now we know why we stopped the series. You all are overall redneck, classless, folks that will try and beat db by any means possible and when you can't when you get more red and try to start fights with 60 year olds and even try to fight your own kind not realizing fellow south fans. And we winder why your kids love to drive by db game day with redneck trucks and rebel flags as if we are still in 1960. Kids are not far from their parents and lies like yours only show why south is what they are. The pathetic thing is, you know this and you know db beat you every which way and that the regs raped db. Oh well and db still won by 2 scores. Pathetic
  19. Remember though Dobyns Bennett beat Farragut alot worse all over the field then Riverdale did this year. I don't know why Bearden is even in this thread, DB lost to Bearden once EVER in the series by 1 point and that was the year Bearden went to the semis. So it is DB, Maryville from the east with Maryville a deserving top spot.
  20. One thing for sure, from the looks of South games on the news their attendance has fallen, big empty spots on the HOME side. One thing different about DB, even last season being down, fans did not drop percentage wise near as much as South fans has this year. What do we call that? Fair weather or bandwagon?
  21. Question? How did Blackman players like the Otter's Chicken they had for their meal?
  22. The median income for a family was $53,651 from Colonial Heights. The median income for a family was $40,183 from Kingsport. However the city schools are rated much higher and offer much more. Teachers are paid a nice chunk more as well in the city. The poor county school way of thinking is false as DB has many more poor students and still out does South. As far as transfers go, it is about even, but if I grew up in a county system with all my buds, I would not leave either.
