Most of the things you mention will happen as a result of playing good fundamentals. Watching film a coach can tell if he has a good stance and takeoff. Does he attack the offensive lineman or does he catch his block. Does he bring his hands and maintain his gap being to able shed the block and make a play. Does he recognize a high hat \low read from the offensive lineman to tell if it is run or pass. Does he show a desire to get to the ball, whether a running back or quarterback. Things noticed will be attitude and effort,doing his job and assignment. All the plays you mention will come by playing this way. A coach wants a guy who plays for the team and not just for himself. Stats are highly over rated if they are gotten selfishly foregoing assignment.

There will be plenty of applicants for the football coaching position at Antioch. I think there will be a few names that will surprise us.

Poor record in some eyes,very good results in metro. No ,you never said he was bad. Great coach to me could include good guy to kids,well organized practices, sound in fundamentals and scheme, maximized the talent of players versus competition,did the team show improvement as the year went by, and I could name some more. When I look at their schedule and results I see how easy it was to be 2-8.

I don't. Great coach in metro he was. You can't base good or great coach on just wins. Several things determine a job well done. So every coach this year that does not win enough games is a bad coach? And if you think the coach alone is the reason for a team's success , then we have nothing more to talk about.

As for Crawford and a lot of other coaches around here not going 5-15,we will never know, will we.

I have been on the same end as your Dad. I am talking more about when it gets beyond play calls or there son not playing. I am referring to the person who berates personally. I love 2nd guessers,they are okay. But the guy who makes is personal is not . I think they should be removed if asked to stop and continues. They embarrass their son and others,even their own family.

This is becoming a huge problem in all youth sports from ages 6-18. I will never understand a parent yelling at coaches during a game or why they are allowed to. Do they really think this will help? Can they not be restrained by the administration? Probably not when they are not even there or so far from the bleachers they can't hear.I have even heard some say that this is a part of being a coach. If that is so would a parent be allowed to stand in a school and berate a teacher or principal? No,there butt would be removed. The athletic field in middle and high school sports is an extension of the classroom and this type of behavior should be addressed and person be removed or told be quite. On top of this coaches are to not say anything to a parent and are expected to take this crap. How are the kids to respect the coaches when parents act this way. This is not all parents,even most of them wish the person would shut up, but that is not their job to do. Don't say this will never stop,because if something is not done then this problem is going to get worse.

This could be one of the dumbest post I have ever seen.

The biggest difference period is players. Colleges recruit because it is about players. MJCA is what it is. When they compete with schools and the score is close or they win it is because of players. Likewise ,when it goes the other way,same reason. It happens at all levels every week .

Saw McGavock play Friday night. Plenty of speed. Both are well coached. I disagree with you WIP about coaching staffs. I think both are well coached. I do not see coaching being an advantage for either.It will boil down to players. Franklin is very well coached also.Maybe you can enlighten me.
