  1. IF CAK were CAKe what does that say for the Alcoa team that lost to them twice last year??? I dunno, just wondering......
  2. WOW!!!! The defending State Champion being called cake????
  3. A 7th grader that is mature enough to start on their Varsity team??? WOW!!! Very impressive!
  4. On Saturday I was informed by a fan that Alcoa WOULD bring home the Gold Ball this year, they are FULLY reloaded, and CAK just got lucky last year.
  5. Trust me when I say that the CAK defense will be just fine. The 2012 defense will have something that no other CAK defense has had, a RETURNING All-State linebacker. Yes there will be some holes to fill but the same was true for the Sate Championship team (we lost one 4 year starter and two 3 year starters). I expect to see some "growing pains" early in the season but by the time Alcoa rolls around this defense will be ready. As far as CAK moving to play the financial-aid granting Private schools, I cannot agree. If CAK should go then should "open zone" schools such as Alcoa and Maryville move too.....I don't think so.
  6. Looks like it may be time for some of the O-line to play some defense.....
  7. Hmmmmm, really? Just remember you heard it here first.
  8. The Warrior defense will be fine. Yes there will be some voids to fill but I'm confident The Bradley's will have the defense ready for the upcoming season. The loss of a 3 year starting LB will hurt, but the return of an All-State linebacker will help. Remember the 2010 defense? They had 2 members that were 4 year starters and another 3 year starter, the 2011 Warrior defense just needed some time to develop. The high scoring offense will allow the needed time for the defensive unit to come together and the leaders to further develop. The Warriors will easily repeat as State Champions.
  9. My son also plays offensive line, it's not one of the "headline" positions and probably never will be. My advise is to just accept things and move on. To be named one of the TOP 6 offensive linemen in the State is truly an honor for these young men.
  10. Would it matter if it were YOUR son????
  11. What the heck, as long as we have an injury report let's go ahead and list the players by name and position!!! I think this is a little too much. If my son were one of the players listed as banged up or questionable I would wonder why someone is posting it for the entire world to see. I may be over the top on this one but I wonder what is there to gain by posting this???
  12. I'm not too sure how benching over 300 pounds is a true measure of strength. The last two season CAK has had one player that was benching over 300 pounds and lost a grand total of 4 games (all to State Champion Alcoa). Being strong is GREAT, but I prefer ability, coaching, and HEART to win games. Just my opinion.
  13. His daughter can ride with my daughter to CAK.
  14. I have bought mine at Hasting's in Maryville the past 4 years.

  16. THIS is what it's all about! I love living in Blount County and the people here are top notch.
  17. Congrats Alcoa! I want to thank all the Alcoa fans that spoke to the CAK players that attended the game tonight.
  18. I spoke to Coach Rankin after the game, I wanted to congratulate him. We had a VERY nice conversation and all that I'm going to say is Coach Rankin is 100% PURE CLASS!!!!
  19. I have seen a "helmet to helmet" penalty called, it is NOT legal in Tennessee.
