I have no idea how my LINEMAN blocking below the waist got drug into a question about a RUNNINGBACK diving at the knees of a defensive lineman???? According to the Officials on the field tonight is NOT legal.

Please excuse this question, but I am curious to the rules. If a defensive lineman is not engaged and moving toward the running backs, it is legal for one of the running backs to dive at his knees? Again, please excuse my question but I would like to know if this is legal blocking.....

Does anyone know if these two teams will sign a new contract to play for the next 2 years? I think this is a very good game and the players look forward to it.

What the determining factor will come down to is "Teams on schedule that won 50% or more of their games." Based on the information provided at the TSSAA website, from last week, CAK has 6 and Polk has 3...Advantage CAK.

I found some information about the game last year in the Knoxville News Sentinel: CAK....7..7..0..0 Eliz...7..0..6..0 Scoring: CAK-Carson Pegarm (Matt Warren Kick): Eliz-Chantez Demoss 18 pass from Ryan Phomas (Taylor Hodge kick): CAK-Davis Burton 6 pass from Quinn Epperly (Mathew Warren kick): Eliz-Zack Boles 71 pass from Mckenley (kick failed). I may have the wrong information, but I did not see where CAK was up 14 to 0. I just watched my film from last years game and it appears that the information from the Sentinel is correct.

I have had a good time reading this thread, it's gotten to the point of funny. I would like to put my 2 cents in: I'm glad high school football is played by strong young men on a field and not by a bunch of has-been dads and fans on an internet page.

I was told last week that Coach Rankin was moving to Georgia after the school year. If I remember correctly this same type of talk was on the boards last year. I have the utmost respect for Coach Rankin and I hope he stays at Alcoa for many years to come.

I am sure somebody has "redone" the brackets after the games played last night. Any updates????
