  1. I want to congratulate both teams for playing a great game tonight. Congratulations to CC for an oustanding season...I'm really proud to be a Cavalier fan. Congratulations to the Chargers and best of luck to you the rest of the way!
  2. This was just a great ballgame...one of the best I've seen in all the years of watching CC football. Thank you for this very thoughtful and well written post and best of luck to the Trojans in the rest of the season.
  3. Crockett County was the better team; there is no question about it! Crockettfan said it all. CC had more penalties than Dburg and we saw a nice CC drive erased by a holding call, so that's not the issue. Congratulations to Crockett County for playing hard to beat a great Dburg team.
  4. Craig had an excellent game tonight, regardless of the interception. He showed outstanding poise in and out of the pocket and made some tough, tough throws. That touchdown bomb was mighty pretty as well. Go Cavs! And no, there aren't very many Cavalier fans crying tonight, folks.
  5. Crockett County played an outstanding ballgame tonight...they just couldn't let Dburg come into our house and beat us. Congrats to CC for outmatching and outplaying an excellent ball team.
  6. There's no reason to jump on crockett56 for the stuff he said. The truth is just as he said; it's happened before and it can happen again. I believe that Craig is a very, very fine quarterback; he's proven that this year by completing 20 of 26 pass attempts with only one interception I believe. But, his record in big games is not as good; we have to have him tonight. If he has a great game, which he's had 3 of them this year, it will help CC tremendously. I know as good as anybody does that he can come out tonight, complete 75% of his passes, and score 2 touchdowns. But I also know it could go the other way, just like it could with anyone. There's no reason for personal attack either way; don't attack crockett56 for analyzing our situation so well.
  7. Those Johnson girls? They had 3 TD's between them, one of them being an intercepted pass. They're for real, folks...this whole class is for real. I'm quite proud of my alma mater...go Cavs! What an impressive game.
  8. Crockett County and Covington will be a great game. I expect this one to be close again.
  9. Crockett County would have beat em this week anyway...haha.
  10. The Cavaliers are coming off of an exciting win in Memphis and are playing at their own house. Crockett Co. by 14.
  11. Final Score - Cavaliers 43, Rebels 14 Great game! Obion executed some tricky option plays with which I was impressed. Great job by both teams. Crockett's offense and defense dominated, though. Five or six turnovers for OCCHS; Crockett had several big plays.
  12. Of course this has been heard a lot in West Tennessee for several years now, but Crockett County may be a team to watch this upcoming year. Our quarterback, fullback, and our best receiver will be Juniors and they have really gotten some great experience this year. They really played great and we are proud of them. Next year this young team will only be better and will definitely fight hard for that region crown and possibly the Gold Ball.
  13. I believe that the Cavs will only get better the next two years; there may be a state run soon!
  14. Greenbrier's gonna roll...SS won't be able to contain Herndon! But, good luck to the Hawks anyway, since they are from our region!
  15. Good job by both teams...by far the best game I've seen all season! Both teams had the talent, but SS had the experience. Both teams made awesome plays. I want to congratulate the Cavs on giving SS the biggest scare of the season! And, next year, we'll be looking for a little retribution... Again, great game!
  16. The option is where the QB has the option of running or passing the ball.
  17. I believe that this game will be much closer than the infamous shut out previously this year. Even though Crockett may not prevail against Southside's excellent team, Crockett will fight and fight! I promise you we will deliver a fight, and the regular season's game will be far behind. Looking forward to a great game!
  18. Highly unlikely for a certain team to win 4 in a row, though...
  19. And Friday night makes 4... Cheers to our young sophomores, who pulled us through against an awesome team, BTW. I can't wait till these guys are seniors; look out, 3A: Crockett will be a force to reckon with, even more so than now!
  20. Funny, I was about to post the same thing! Even though I couldn't attend tonight, I listened to it on the radio. Very big win for the boys in maroon!
  21. Our defense has stepped up in the last several games, especially against Bolivar, a team that was better than everybody expected this year. We held them to 15 yards total offense. Of course, nobody can really predict anything with two good teams like this. What kind of crap is this? What do you base your picks on? I have attended every game and I happen to love football; I am very knowledgeable of the sport. Does this mean I can predict accurately? No, but I do know my team fairly well; they are able to step up when it counts, but who knows: Page may shut us out or we may shut Page out. Living in the past? To what are you referring?
  22. Gonna be close; Crockett by 10.
  23. "You Crockett fans will see a fine sophomore quarterback this week in Blake Browder (McNairy Central). " Oh, we saw him, all right...get pasted into the ground on a big 4th down!
  24. Reitzfan, have you been to all these games? Many times, mere stats do not predict game outcomes! When Crockett played Marshall both last year and the year before, the STATS said that it was going to be a very close game. ????? We blew Marshall County out both years by 35-45 points both times!
  25. True, so true. I was rooting for Huntingdon all the way; there were no excuses for David Lipscomb. It was total annihilation. I listened to the game whilst playing cards with family and we were laughing it was so pitiful!
