  1. Yea and last year they wre supposed to do really well, they didnt even make playoffs
  2. The TSSAA called and said that all their games will be ruled as forfits.
  3. Not taking anything away from FACS, because its good that Byrne finnally lost in some way or form. But Byrne has not played good in the jamboree in at least the last 3 years. Last year Rosemark tied them 0-0 in the jamboree but lost to them 48-14 in the championship. Byrnes one of those team that get better as the year goes on. But im not takin anything from FACS.
  4. Coacht, lighthouse christian academy in millington wont have a team this year so they are on a bunch of schedules in the d2-a, but they wont contend this year.
  5. I was told that Byrne moved the ball pretty well agianst FACS. That they got down on the goaline but fumbled. But that Byrne was real slow which is unsual and that FACS was real fast. I guess you could say the same about us. We fumbled the ball, and had a pass that was intercepted on the goal line. But thats in the past now and gotta look toward Arlington this coming up week.
  6. Harding im guessing is supposed to decent, they got alot of big guys is what their roster shows, but they lost cox last year so thats my guess. How did FACS do agianst Harding tonight?
  7. The NCAA doesnt care about its players all that much, all they care about is how much money they can make off the players.
  8. Offensive tackle is the toughest, just on the reason of that pass blocking, its hard to keep with those quick and fast defensive end. That puts alot of pressure on the tackles. Also with working with the guard, and picking up outside blitzs, when you already have a guy lined up on you, it gets very difficult and confusing.
  9. Look if all you do is critize D-2 A schools then just dont talk, look when you got a school that has only a 130 students and doesnt give scholorships, do you think they get all the talent that the schools with 500, 1000, 1500? I dont think so.
  10. Rosemark should have a good team this year they got a hefty line this year, averaging 240 per person which isnt bad for our division, very strong line too, should be one of the best ones weve had in a while, two of them benchs over 300(335 and 310) and the others are very close to it, if not there yet, the offensive tackles weight 285 and 260, so we arent small. We got two 200 pound running backs, one squats 630, both are good on their feet and are fast. The quaterback is very quick, and the younger recievers are improving. The vertren recievers are like they were last year, good. The secondary is alot better than i expected, and the linebackers are going to be a vetren core, and very good one at that.
  11. Thats something else, see you will really never know how many of these D-2 A schools have good players, because of that they dont play big schools, alot to do with that big schools dont want to play them because of the arrogance factor. Now the proven good teams like Byrne, will get to play these schools because they have been good for so long, but the schools have good years off and on dont get to play them. See and its also because these small schools dont want to play agianst big schools, and thats understandable, and its understandable that big schools dont want to play small ones. But it can be like Kurt Warner when he played for the rams, one good players is amplified to a great player when he surrounds himself with other good players, and the great players gets noticed while they other good players dont.
  12. Thats why Charile got pushed all over the field agianst Rosemark, right? and that was twice.
  13. SBEC from what i remeber in 7th grade when we played them, which would be the same team were going to play this year, assuming their all the same players, was a very very good team, so i intend on them being a very good team. Davidson Academy from what i hear is gonna be a good team, looking at their record and stats from last year, but they will defently be good. St. Georges is just fast, and they run the bone, which can be confusin if you hadnt practiced agiasnt it. FACS should be good this year too, better than last year, they supposedly have a couple guys now that can bench over 300 so i bet they will be a good team too, better than last year, if they could learn to throw, who knows how good they would be. Byrne is always good, even in there down year like last year, they are still good, no matter how you put it, they are always good. St. Andrews probably gonna be the same as last year, they say their gonna win it all, but didnt come close. Memphis Catholic i expect to turn some heads, Rosemarks coach from last year is coaching their this year, and that school always had talent but no coach, well now it does and probably will win some. Rosemark will be good this year too i think, the defence looks very good, like last year holding some 6 points a game or something like that, this year could very well be the same. Rosemarks offence will do fine once they learn the offence and get used to Drew not being back at QB this year.
  14. You are crazy. Their is a golden truth that truth is the split. Why was their a split? Private schools were winning all the championships. Just see how many Brentwood Academy has won. Dont tell me recruiting cause back then everyone recruited. No way Alcoa would beat MUS, or most of the other DII-AAA schools. Maryville probably couldnt and Riverdale would have some trouble with MUS. I dont play for MUS either I play for a small school.
  15. Nebraska is a pretty big one also.
  16. Naw, it aint as big as in states like Texas, PA, and Alabama, which are three huge football states. But its allright I mean out of those three states you have a good % of college and pro players.
  17. Yes memphis has their own All star game. I know that Drew Hanks from Tipton Rosemark Academy is playing in it and thats about it.
  18. Tipton Rosemark Academy Rebels Week 0- Arlington High School Week 1- Harding Academy Week 2- LCA* Week 3- Bishop Byrne* Week 4- FACS* Week 5- bye Week 6- St. Andrews* Week 7- St. Georges* Week 8- Catholic* Week 9- Davidson Acadmey* Week 10- SBEC* *Region Games This Schedule is considerably harder than last years.
  19. Rosemark is going to have a tougher schedule next alot tougher compared to the past ones. Week 0- Arlington High School Week 1- Harding Academy Week 2- Lighthouse Week 3- Bishop Byrne Week 4- FACS Week 5- bye Week 6- St. Andrews Week 7- St. Georges Week 8- Memphis Catholic Week 9- Davidson Academy Week 10- SBEC This is the Rosemark Schedule fro next year. I know we play all these teams but I might have gotten the SAS and the FACS games backwards. But this is a considerably harder schedule that last years.
  20. I may be the slowest football player ever. So when I get a tad bit faster I know it. What I have been doing is dragging tractor tires up hills, do it about 6-10 times going up everyweek. Along with some ladders, and just plain sprints, a little distance running. I improved my speed from a 8.1 forty to a 6.1 now, it takes a while, actually about a year or a little longer.
  21. Im sure DA will do good in D-II A next year, but their losing alot of talent from what I heard. But Im sure they will do good.
  22. No. Aggreed the west tn D-I football may have not have been great this past year or the past couple. But then again if you look at as a whole then thats just stupid. You put Maryville, Riverdale, or Alcoa against a D-II AAA team like MUS, and see what happens. (all three gold balls for D-II came home to Memphis this past year.)
