  1. List of Westmoreland injuries, Fullback/DT - Out, QB/FS - Out, DE/K - Out, WR/SS - Doubtfull. Don't see any way an allready overmatched, undersized Westmoreland can keep it close with all these injuries. It will be freshmen against experienced upperclassmen from East.
  2. Clay beating Gordonsville two years in a row? To quote the great Johnny Bench, "No chance."
  3. Gerry, I haven't seen you crying foul over the plight of the public schools in region 4-2a over the past 8 years. They will base the decisions on geography. The TSSAA can't base decisions on "How many good teams are we going to put in each region?" Trust me, I feel your pain, for the last 8 years.
  4. You've almost got it. Region 4 - Smith County Cannon County Westmoreland Jackson County York Institute Upperman Region 5 - DCA Harpeth Fairview Ezell Harding FRA Goodpasture East Robertson CPA Geographically makes sense. TSSAA will not split the privates because they are all within 30 minutes of each other. They base decisions on location, not number per region. Take a look at current regions and you can see this.
  5. The TSSAA isn't going to split the private schools in Nasville into two regions. Two reasons; The private schools want to play each other because of gates and proximity, and the TSSAA will not split Nashville down the middle since these teams are all no more than 30 minutes apart. The TSSAA bases regions on geography, not number per region.
  6. Did they self-report? How did the situation come about?
  7. Come on now! I've stated two coaches that were in public schools and could'nt win, then went to private schools and won championships. Baldcoach, you said it was the coaching. If you don't have an explaination admit it. I've brought these examples up multiple times in this forum and never got a response. If it is not a valid point, tell me why. You won't, because it is valid and you have no rebuttal.
  8. If it's the coaching, then why could David Martin not win at Westmoreland. Why did Scott Smith not win in the public sector(I believe Smith was at Greenbrier, correct me if I'm wrong). I guess they didn't have the support or players at those schools. Wait, that would mean that privates have an advantage over those publics. No, it must be they just suddenly became great coaches when they went to a private school. Unreal.
  9. Can anyone actually tell me about the game? Who's injured for Fairview. Also, seems like Mongomery Central's been up and down this season. What's the deal with that?
  10. Did the Thaxton kid get injured in the Westmoreland game? If so when will he return? I thought he was the leader of the team.
  11. Actually, the TSSAA doesn't get a cut from regular season gates. Kind of blows a hole in the whole money theory. P.S. I'm not saying the TSSAA isn't worried about getting the wallet loaded in the playoffs.
  12. York going to Gatlinburg instead of going to Smith County, Westmoreland, Cannon County, and Jackson County? East Robertson passing all the schools in Nashville on their way to Lewis County? Not a very informed suggestion.
  13. Trousdale and Macon will be an interesting contest. The outcome will depend on how much a young Macon County team can improve between week 1 and the Trousdale game. I expect that Trousdale will win this match up. I don't, however, see Trousdale beating Smith, or Portland. Smith looked awfully impressive against a, granted, somewhat overmatched 1a Watertown team. But, if Smith doesn't play any better than they did against Gordonsville, Trousdale will take advantage and come away with the upset. Portland, with their experience and numbers will have the advantage. But, don't ever count out one of the best coaches in Tennessee, Clint Satterfield (Credit to the legend Jim B. Satterfield!!!).
  14. Macon is too inexperienced to compete with the Panthers. I hope I'm wrong but Portland by 20. P.S. Smith County will sweep the region and go to the Semi-Finals (Bold Prediction)
  15. No Tiger talk? No train whistle?
  16. Both teams will wake up Saturday morning 0-1. Who pulls it together next Friday night. I'm saying Portland, but pulling for Macon.
  17. I'd flip the scoreboard off too. No need to rub it in on yourself, nough' other people willing to do it! Congrats to White House and Greenbrier.
  18. Smith County was the most impressive of the teams on the creekbank Saturday night, however, Macon County played a heck of a game against a much larger Wilson Central team. Macon County could be back in contention for a region title. They should have little trouble with an undersized, overmatched Westmoreland squad this Friday night. The Tigers of Gordonsville also looked somewhat rusty against Trousdale. I fear they will have a bad opening game against the Owls. Best of luck to the Tigers.
