I am not sure what NS team you have been watching, but the idea that NS plays a slow tempo game is crazy. They have speed everywhere. Don't count Coach Lowery and the Lady Indians out just yet.

I have seen Milan play several times this year. I find it very hard to see Perika dominating anyone because her coach will not leave her in long enough to do anything. The assistant coach with the stop watch is the most unusual thing I have ever witness. What's up with that. Is she timing how long each group get's to stay in the game. If the Milan-NS game happens, remember the NS coach is a Milan alumni and Very SUCCESSFUL former Lady Bulldog head coach. This would make for a great matchup.

Remember Sha Brooks from Jackson North Side. She is making BIG waves in the SEC for Florida. UT never looked at her. It makes it real easy to cheer against UT when any of our West Tennessee girls are playing them.

GC should have a great 8th grade team EVERY year. They have 5 feeder schools. That is 25 girls that have played for atleast a year of middle school ball. Can you imagine having 25 girls coming into your program EVERY year that have experience. Most schools are lucky to get 1 or 2.

Austin East has not been in the finals 3 years running. They have been to the state for 3 straight years. Two years ago they faced Jackson North Side in the quarter finals and lost. Jackson North Side went on to the finals and lost to Memphis Hillcrest. The Austin East team is pretty much that same team as 3 years ago and they were good then. I would have to pick them as the favorite.

The last time the Lady Bulldogs advanced to Sub-state Jackson North Side head coach, Farris Lowery was the coach.

Riley played in the state game, but Whitney Houston was the MVP.

My picks are Milan and GC. Obion will have to play ALOT better than they did against NS to beat Milan. (That is if Poston decides to play up to her potential). And with Butler back GC has to many weapons for Westview. But you never know that is why we play the game. Good luck to all 13AA teams.

NS had a good game, but OC is the better team as has been stated several times. However, Roney only had 7 points from the field the rest were from the free throw line. But points are points, not to take anything away from her. OC shot 29 free throws and NS only shot 13. Just a little lop sided. Good luck to OC. But you will have to do more than shoot free throws to win the state.

The TSSAA is going back to the way they use to set the brackets. It will be done by a draw on Sunday and the coaches will be present to see it done.

GC Pioneer don't read anything into the previous post. It was not might to say that you would only have a chance this year. You have TWO great head coaches and 5 feeder schools. You should have a great chance every year and also a great 8th grade class every year. NS has 1 feeder school zoned for them. Just play the game and good luck to you in Regionals. Best wishes to the Griffin girl and a speedy recovery. What a shame for this to happen to her now, but knowing the type of player she is this will only slow her down for a little while. She will be fine.

As I have already stated on this site, NS has and never said they were suppose to beat anyone from District 13AA this year. They lost 4 starters and are now playing 1 senior 1 sophomore and 3 freshmen. (Only 1 player with any experience). Lighten up on them. They have so far exceed what anyone ever thought they might do this year. But all anyone from 14AA wants to do is talk trash about them. I guess since 13AA is SO FAR superior of 14AA then we shouldn't even play in the region, just go ahead and give it to ya'll. But you know NS has been to the state the last 5 out of 6 years. What about ya'll. I guess the one year that NS is down a little you want to take the opportunity and talk all the trash you can. Remember what goes around comes around. So I would just be happy that you have this opportunity THIS YEAR.

GC should take their game against FW easily. But FW is the most un-orthodox team you will ever see. They are either awesome or terrible. They have hit shots when they have fallen and are on their knees. They crash the boards on rebounding (all over your backs) and if the officials don't call it then they kill you. They play a very slow style most of the time with a "weave" and when they get tired of "weaving" someone, (anyone) my just decide to launch up a shot. It could be from ANYWHERE on the floor. They just seem to have NS's number. We beat them by 20 on their home floor and Haywood played them VERY close in the semis. They can look very sluggish at times. So it is hard to predict this one (which is indicated by their record). But I say GC by 20. If GC wants a definite victory just tell them to put on a NS uniform. Because FW plays NS like they play no one else. I have never seen a team play so unconsistently.

I think it is quite funny that all anyone wants to talk about is NS from the other district. NS lost 4 starters from last year, only has 1 senior and is starting 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore. No one from NS has ever said they were state contenders. Coach Lowery does a tremendous job and always seems to rise to the occasion with whatever talent he gets. District 13AA is loaded and "should" win, but has it has been said numerous times on this site, "That is Why you Play the Game."

If Jose Wales knows that the results of the All District/All Tournament will be in the Jackson Sun on Saturday, he must know you made the team. Where these not announced at the Championship game?

North Side beat Covington tonight 2-1.

Bethel College has signed 3 West Tennesseeans. Jay Lowery - Jackson North Side Craig Massey - Crockett County Blake Talbott - Jackson South Side Bethel continues to recruit some of West Tennessee's best.

The schedule posted at Milan had the game beginning in the morning at 10:00 am not 9:00. The loser plays at 1:00 in Humboldt in the consolation and the winner plays at 3:30 in the championship in Humboldt.

How will they get 3 games when there are only 3 teams in the pool.

This is such a tragedy for the Northwest team and students. Our thoughts and prayers are with you from Jackson North Side. Does anyone know how this will effect the Easter Slam brackets?

Friday night at the Reservation North Side over FACS - 5-2 North Side over Adamsville - 6-2 Lowery and Parker were both on. The Indians looked alot better. Coach Mac has got them on the right track.

I am not quite sure what game you watched last year, but it was only a 1 point game with less than a minute to go. NS had to foul and it eventually ended with Hillcrest up by 5. It was a great Championship game. Just keep thinking that you have it all and if you come out on top after Thursday we say congrats and good luck. But the Lady Indians are for REAL.

This is thread has become ashame. I would guess that the majority of individuals on this site are considered "ADULTS." If not then you need to grow up. We are all here to support our teams. Stop the bashing and just cheer on your team. Every team is good at this point or they would not be here. And we all know that any good team can beat another one on any given day. Good luck to all 24 teams that will be in the BORO.

I seriously doubt that Upperman has played a team of North Side's caliber. It will be a very interesting game.
