Newsome is an exciting player to watch on offense. She, however, had no rebounds or assist last night in the championship game. Hope she becomes a total player at the next level. She would be something to watch then. Not that she isn't now. How does North Side stack up against Memphis Central. Only know that they are "Young."

I am pulling for the North Side Lady Indians.

Arlington had no answer for Fason. North Side was up by as much as 25 and Coach Lowery subed a little. One of his guards was battling the Flu and his Big girl inside was out alot with foul trouble. He played a freshman and two sophomores in these spots. At some times he did not have a Senior on the floor. The Millington/North Side should be a great game. And the good thing is they both move on. Good luck Lady Indians.

North Side won every quarter including overtime except the 2nd quarter. Nelson went off and so did Hayes. North Side only shot 34% the 1st half. A lot of fouls were called but 100 more could have been called. This was a very physical game. Have seen Cordova play several times this year and this was the most aggressive, physical team I have seen Cordova put on the floor. Also Nelson started and I have not seen her start before. Cordova shot the ball very well. North Side is going to have to pick up their game to continue on. But these girls never give up.

Dyer Co and Hardin Co are good teams. I think all of the Region game will be good. Millington may have too much Jasmine Newsome for Munford though. We were at the Cordova vs Craigmont game. How is the point guard from Cordova. Her injury looked VERY serious.

Does anyone have the final standings for District 13 AAA. Jackson North Side is 8-0 and Munford is 0-8. As far as Dyer Co., Brighton, and Hardin Co. who knows. They never have their scores in ANY newpaper and their scores are never posted on Coach T. Would be nice to know who plays who and when in the tournament. Also when does the tournament begin?

Thanks GC Pioneer. Jackson North Side is 20-1 and 8-0 in the district. I just hope they do prove to all the pollsters that they deserve a top 10 rankings. This seems so unfair to the girls. Go Lady Indians.

Thanks Phargis for your dissertation. But I guess you cannot read for comprehension. As was stated in the previous post, Jackson North Side has been to the State Tournament in both AA and AAA 5 out of the last 8 years. They were State Runner up in 2007 against Memphis Hillcrest. So the no experience in the State is bogus. They have been AAA and then moved back to AA and now again are AAA.

Not quite sure where PHargis got his information on Jax North Side being short on tournament experience. They have been to the state tournament during the last 8 years, 5 times. They were state runner up in 2007. Experience is not an issue.

Jessica Cobb and Jalita Fason. Both VERY talent young ladies. Should be considered this year, but true contenders next year. They are both being heavily recruited by D1 schools. Remember the connection with Carolyn Peck, former Purdue and Florida head coach now ESPN analyst with North Side head coach.

At least the Jackson Sun can appreciate talent. Jackson North Side is ranked 2nd in the Dirty Dozen in West Tennessee. They beat a really good Bolivar team again tonight and are now 18-1 but they cannot get ranked in the AP. But that's ok. We will see everyone in the Boro.

I thought this was a sensible question. I am glad some of you found so much humor in it. This is the reason why I never post anything on here.

Can someone explain to me how Jackson North Side is 15 -1 and dropped in the AP poll. They were 12th last week in the AP poll and dropped to 15th this week. They beat a good Dyer Co and Bolivar team.

When the Choctaws made their "RUN" NS had 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores on the floor. I know. One of the freshmen players is my daughter.

The North Side Lady Indians played well tonight. Going into hostile territory they came out victorious. They had a 24 pt lead at one time. Coach Lowery put in his subs and the final score was 67-56. When the Lady Indians turned up the pressure Dyer Co had no answer for it. Good job Ladies.

Actually Dyer is 6-0. The scores on here are incorrect. It should be a really good game.

The information concerning HOC games for the NS Indians is incorrect. We do play at Bolivar, but we play Nashville McGavock.

I couldn't be prouder of the NS Lady Indians. They gave a state ranked team all year all they wanted. Coach Lowery did a tremendous job. These YOUNG girls will be moving up to AAA next year. I am sure that this Region is glad they are gone. They always give you a game. Great season.

It would not be a tournment decision but a school board decision if NS was not allowed to play and had to forfeit. Also we were told by the Tournament director that the girls semis would be Monday, boys Tuesday, Girls final on Wednesday and Boys final on Thursday.

School is cancelled in Jackson Madison Co for tomorrow. There is a school board policy that if you don't go to school then you don't play ball. (Nothing extra curricular). Wonder what is going to happen with this. Does NS just have to forfeit their game.

All games for Saturday night at Gibson County have been changed to Monday night. Gibson Co vs Obion Co - 6:00 NS vs Westview - 7:30

Milan played really well. The officials let them play so Glenn had a great game. Only 1 foul was called in the 2nd half with 4 minutes remaining. Milan had to begin fouling because they were down by 8. NS didn't hit their throws and Milan was able to cut into the NS lead. But NS led the entire game. They were up at one time by 12. NS handled the Milan pressure well. This was a good game. Surprising the OC vs Haywood game. Maybe the District 13 took the District 14 for granted or maybe District 14 isn't as bad as some thought. The Semis should be interesting.
