i dunno if many can compare with MBA...playing both byrnes... and trinity...then going into D2 AAA.... thats pretty intense... and pretty much any of the D2 AAA schools... who likes to play an MBA, BA, CBHS, Baylor, McCallie every week...oh yea... MUS, Briarcrest, and FRHS aint so bad either...

A 1997 game between Father Ryan and MBA.... i believe it was the first time they met... where Father Ryan won on a missed MBA extra point... 21-20 I think... I was a young one then, but I can remember how crazy Vandy stadium was that nite And last year... the lowly Father Ryan team goes to Memphis to take on Christian Brothers on their Homecomming.... Ryan was down late in the 4th by 2 scores...but somehow fights back and kicks a field goal as the time ran out... to win by 1..

The big ones from Pope are Coffey, Tate, and Maybe Ingle..... For FRHS tho..I can't wait to see Simmons out there

Sorry but JP2 did not beat Ryan in the scrimmage last year,or the year before, or the year before...but enough about those years..i think the last 2 years people have posted on and on about that stuff... its rediculous..... both teams are different this year..and the game will be exciting...and yea.. again.. 28-21 irish

This game won't be down to playmakers.. This game will be down to costly mistakes... who will make more?

After watching that scrimmage, I wouldn't nearly say T.C. Jennings is the top rated recruit in TN, if its anyone on Ravenwood, its LB Daniel Becker... he was all over the field..

Though Pope may be strong, they have never beaten the Irish... therefore... 28-21 Irish in a thriller...and FRW... was that kitty stuff necessary?

Don't forget about Father Ryan. They only lose three consistent senior starters. They will have a ton of experience for a team that made it farther than any Middle Region team in the State tourney, and even beat the state champs before running out of pitching. They should be solid in every aspect of the game next year.

Father Ryan beat BA 5-3 today. Not sure on the BGA vs. MBA game, but I heard MBA was up big at one point.

If you are a pitcher, For the Love of the Game is greatest.... if you are a kid, Sandlot.... comedy..Major League...... and all time best.... Bull Durham or Field of Dreams

I don't think Harris is nearly MBA's best pitcher. Ridings from BGA is the best I've seen in D2 so far this year, and Sean Vinett from Ryan has been winning some key games.

I feel bad for the kid because he took a wicked shot right on the side of the head. The only problem is that he was sitting outside the dugout on a bucket. Many of the BGA players were sitting outside the dugout throughout the whole game, and Ryan was throwing a pitcher who throws a lot of change ups. I'd say there were 6 or 7 balls hit in that direction which I thought was a warning to stay in the dugout. They kept staying outside and sadly that had to happen. I hope the kid is alright, but it is a lesson to all to stay inside the dugout unless you are on deck.

I don't believe a champion will be crowned. There were so many cancellations that some teams played way more than others; therefore, it just ended up being random games.

Cookeville looks to be pretty solid...don't judge a team on one game...

It is true this year looks promising; however, it would look greater if we could have great showing like the Hendersonville game on a consistent basis. The next day we had Clarksville beat 8-4, but somehow let them come back int he last two innings, and allowed them to beat us 10-8 on a walk-off 3 run HR. Right now the future looks great, and if we can come together State looks like a clear shot. No matter what happens, you must be playing your best ball come May, and this club is capable of doing that.
