White House-Greenbriar is the longest rivalry in WH history, first game was in 1947. since then, the record for the series is 37-22 in WH favor. Proves to be a great game year in and year out. at least 9,000 people there, it is a great atmosphere.

And by the way, Alcoa WILL beat Maryville this fall. Have fun with that...

Which games are you most exicited to see this approaching season? Mine personally, being a WH fan, is WH-Pearl-Cohn, mostly because the winner of that game will more than likely face Fulton. What are some others?

And furthermore, is there any one other than the two obvious teams (A-E, FULTON) that can even match Ladd's speed. i mean this guy is one of the top 3 backs in the state in any classification. You should have seen him in the Gallatin scrimmage. Gallatin is supposed to have a "fast" defense, yet they looked liked they were running in slow motion compared to Ladd. With the exception of Pearl there IS NOT a team in 4-3A that compete with this guy.

Leonard, i have come to the conclusion that your knowledge og hogh school football is superior to most prople who post on coach t and i am not being sarcastic. i just think that the winner will not come out of the east. and white house did not make it to the title game last year but greenbrier did, you know what i'm saying?

Here is my side: 1. White house is moving down to, lets face it, a less competitive class than 4-a; Since 1946, when White house has moved up or down in classification, that year they have won their region, or district, championship 2. White house returns speed to a backfield that dominated in 4-a, except now they dont have the passing game they used to, people said that after keene graduated, there would be no passing game and you saw what happen last year. this qb thats is coming up is extremely quick, started at free safety last year.plus WH has a very athletic corp of receivers and tight ends. the line is young, but also athletic. 3. PC will be WH only real test in the regular season with an exception of Page, and PC and WH will meet again in the playoffs. 4. Coaching is oustanding. they will have the guys prepared to the fullest every week. 5. And yes, the kicking game will be one of WH strengths this year as they return region 6-4a placekicker of the year. had 15 touchbacks and avg. almost 40 yards a punt. 6. white house returns alot of people on their defense, leading tackler, all linebackers, ends an one db. 7. Fulton or A-E speed and size will be very similiar to what WH has played for four years now. they will not be overwhelmed like alot of teams are against Fulton and A-e i am not taking anything away from fulton or a-e, because they will outstanding this fall, all i am saying is that dont come in here december and blow up these boards saying how big of an "upset" WH winning the state title is.

I would just like to say congratulations to White House's Brett Morrell(152) and Max Barrett(215) for being the first state qualifiers from a young but growing wrestling program in White House. Good luck at the state tournament guys. thumb

Well I guess that my views on why white house isn't mentioned is pretty narrow. Although I'll have to say that even though White House is still trying to build a program it's not like they wrestle no-names. they have wreslted Franklin and other teams in the difficult to moderate range. And even though they basically got mopped all over the floor (Franklin in particular), they held their own and wrestled very hard. These are very hard-nosed kids and they are not pushovers, they are just new to the game. They Have also wreslted in the Dickson Co. Tourney and Hendersonville Tourney and did well. I am not just defending my team, i am just saying dont be suprised when you see some of these kids competing in state....

What about 215? We all know Brooks is a lock. I'm really not familiar with any other wrestlers in this weight class. Can someone give me the names of some of the people who will be competing in this class?And 152 what does it look like. H-ville is always solid. so are all the clarksville schools. Some one please enlighten me. Also, I happen to live in White House and although i typically follow football, how come white house doesnt even get mentioned on these boards. I know they have a few solid wrestlers, morrell in 152(solid contender for state), wood in 171(another solid contender for state), and barrett in 215(who by the way has only lost twice in his first year with over 20 wins,18 pins)to be specific. Not complaining just curious of why W.H. isnt getting any air-time, thats all. thumb

4 teams in the semi's with a combined record of 52-0. Maryville (13-0) Tennesse High (13-0) Melrose (13-0) White House (13-0) 13 times 4.....carry the one......52 and freakin 0!! If this isn't the best Semifinal bracket in the state, please, PLEASE, tell me one better. Whoever wins the title this years will have earned and they will truly be the best 4A team in the state

White House's Defense will show up and they will HIT Melrose like they havent been hit all year. Period.

Ya'll sound like a bunch of schoolgirls!! C'mon now. Hey Hillwood is a good team with exceptional athletes and maybe Hillwood is the better team..... but not Friday at 7:00 when a man in a striped shirt blew a whistle and one team kicked off to another. They play the game for a reason, White House showed up, Hillwood didn't. It is as simple as that. Now on a positive note, Devulier Rucker is an incredible player. He was Hillwood's offense and if there were 10 other players on the field in the same jersey that he was, this game could have beem alot closer. It is too bad to see a phenomonal player such as him be surround by unmotivated players. Good luck next year in 5A. I'm sure you'll be as successful as you were this year. thumb

Melrose is a very talented team. White House is a talented team. Prediction-WH offense moves the ball just enough to win, Kicking game kills Melrose, Low scoring, old skool, smash-mouth football in a hostile enviroment. WH-10 MR-7 Then again, Last week against Hillwood, i predicted a 3-2 win for WH, so dont count on that score. thumb

Whoever wins the White House-Hillwood game has a legitimate shot at winning the 'ship.

My personal opinion is the Hillwood(12-0)-White House(12-0) game. What are some other good games this week?

Nobody has given White House the respects it deserves. All year, every single game, we have came in the underdog (Portland, Greenbrier, Northwest, Whites Creek, Pearl-Cohn, Columbia, Overton). Every week we physically beat up people. The Tennessean doesnt give us any credit. The news channels don't give us any credit. Nobody gives us any credit and that is more than fine with us b/c we dont need anybody's recognition. I'm not saying we are going to win, I'm not saying we're going to lose either, but don't think for one second that Hillwood is going to come into our "House" and embarrass us in front of our home crowd by putting 40-plus points. I got all the respect in the world for Hillwood, their 12-0 (just like we are), they've shut down good teams all year. But they haven't played White House either. So before that last second ticks of the clock Friday night just know this. Hillwood will get White House's best shot and when they're riding down I-65 after the game, they will know what B.D.P. is. Best of luck to both teams! The best will prevail!

I wont say that the White House D will give up that many points, but i will say that it would be a challenge to keep a very explosive Hillwood offense under 21. If White House can score more than 28, I think that they can pull it out. Look for White House to play with alot of emotion. This is what high school football is about! WH-35 HW-21

This should be a great game. Hillwood has a great offensive team, very similiar offenses, and obviously a good defense as they showed against Stratford. White House's offense had a little hiccup after Overton, but a very good defensively. I don't know much about Hillwood other than they are good enough to be in the 3rd round. So it should be a great game. Best of luck to both teams, but for arguments sake, who wins this game? My prediction- White House 3-Hillwood 2 I guess that shows you how much I know.... what about everyone else?
