Instead of promising a Livingston Academy victory, I am gonna take this time to say congratulations to David Lipscomb on the season. I don't think that the LA fans on here mean any disrepect to DL, they are just very confident in their team as they have been playing outstanding football the past couple of weeks. However, after some reflection, I believe that this game will be very tough for both teams. I think that DL will be the best team Livingston Academy has faced in the playoffs. I really expected Notre Dame to be better than they were as they were hyped up pretty good but I have heard from very reliable sources that Lipscomb is a very solid football team and will be much tougher than Notre Dame ever was (although they weren't that good if we would have tackled better) So to all the LA fans, expect a much tougher game from Lipscomb and Lets go Hog-Eye.

Well, for instance there is football to play in Hog-Eye and your team will find out how good Hog-Eye plays on Saturday when we whip you like the last 4 teams that thought they would beat us. By the way BombSquad... Make sure you come back to the board after the game. Don't be like the rest of the numbskulls on here that predict a 40 point victory over LA and then when Hog-Eye whips 'em all we hear is crickets from their side. Alright! If DL happens to win then you can say whatever and I will come back on the board. I know that DL has a very soild team and so does our team and coaches (they told me so) See ya at the game

Sorry for the confusion. You are right. LA has had many good seasons before prior to 90 but I was refering to the pee-wee and middle school programs really helping out the high school and it was around 1990 that LA started making the playoffs on a consitant basis and going further and further in the playoffs as the years progressed. However, I did not mean to say that LA did not have great teams or seasons in the past. I know better than that.

What does that mean?

Hog-Eye very well could end up 3A State Champions and it took a final minute 2 point conversion for them to get in the playoffs. Seriously, they are ONE PLAY AWAY FROM NOT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS. But they kicked butt in the 2nd season and are now about to take the final step for Livingston Academy Football. This football program started building from scratch about 15 years ago and has taken steps each year since then to get to this point. Go get our Gold, Wildcats!

I just want to know one thing from Notre Dame. How did you not know that Cates was that good? How did you not know that LA was that good? Did you not watch film on LA? If you did you would have saw how good Cates and LA are cause every game is Cates highlight film. I know that you guys hadn't heard anything about us but did you not scout us or anything. Your defense looked like ya'll didn't even know that we ran the option. I get the feeling that ND overlooked HogEye bigtime and thought this would be an easy win cause we had a bad record. I could be wrong but that is the feeling I get in my gut. By the way, Cates is the man ain't he? I just expected more from the "WALL" than that. It looked like you guys expected to roll over us or something. You guys did have a very solid football team though. I have to give you credit. The hail mary play was amazing. It was crazy.

Wait!!! Let me guess. Hog-Eye doesn't have a chance against the Mighty David Lipscomb because they have better athaletes, a "wall" for a defense, a 13 game winning streak, a unbelieveable runningback/quarterback and so on and so forth. Right??? Well, I am not gonna say that I know that Livingston Academy will win but I do know one thing..... If Lipscomb overlooks Hog-Eye like Notre Dame, Knox-Catholic, ect. ect. then they will get BEAT like the others. Hope you try and stop Cates cause our other players will step up. Seriously, I know that David Lipscomb is a great team. I have heard alot of great things about ya'll this year. This should be a great game. H-O-G-E-Y-E Hogeye, Hogeye T-N-T

i got something to say!!! If you Fulton fans think that this is the 1st big game Smith has played this year then you have just shown you lack of intelligence. Obviously, you don't know how tough this region really is! Actually, Smith Co. has been playing in not only big games but HUGE games since about week 2. Every game in the regular season was huge. Just ask LA!!! ONE loss put them in second. There were 4 teams in this region that could have easily won the crown. But Smith has made it out. All I can say is that "You think you KNOW, but you have NO IDEA" However, friday night, win or lose you will know how tough this region and the winners of this region, Smith Co., are!!!!

I am getting sense that Fulton thinks this game friday will be easy. "I don't think Smith can keep the game close" This is all bull. The City boys will find out friday night what real football is all about. And don't give me that bull about last year either. TO FULTON FANS, that backyard football you guys play will be picked apart and exploited by Maynord's Owls. Smith is too discipled to fall into that trap. YOUR BACKYARD football may cut it in the city but not here. You guys will be welcomed to the "HOLE" and then your team will be kicked out of it!!! Good Luck OWLS!!!

I think that the punt on 3rd down was a very good call. It was risky but turned out very heartbreaking for us LA fans. That play and the holding penalty on our first drive were very costly for us. Without that penalty, we would have been down around the 7 - 12 yard line I think. A score there would have gave us a lot of momentum. However, I have to give props to the Smith Co. defense. You guys played awsome. The LA offense played decent. To all the LA fans who bash the coaches for not throwing the ball, just shut you mouths- you know nothing about football. As for the LA defense, I believe you guys played awsome agaist the run. Wilmore only had 139 and about 40 of those were draw plays seconds before halftime and he got some more with the game out of reach. So kudos to the LA run defense. I was waiting for a LA defensive back to jump on one of those routes by Smith Co., but it never happend. That was our downfall, Pass defense. But LA played with alot of heart. Keep you head up boys. To #2 for LA, you played awsome this year and made me and dad proud. Love you man!!!

"SPEED KILLS", well have I got news for you!!! Speed kills when you play an undisciplined team. HOWEVER, Smith Co. is very discipled and they will beat Fulton on Friday. Why will they beat Fulton? It is very simple! HEART!! Those "small but slow" boys from Smith have a lot of HEART! I saw that this past friday. I will say good luck to Smith Co. however, I don't think you boys will need it. The Falcons are in for a rude awakening. They thought that the 3A championship was played between them and AE, but really it was played between Smith Co and LA. I also want to say that Smith Co showed very good sportsmanship friday night. Now go prove yourselves to the rest of the state!!!

Everyone wants to talk about "well we lost to you guys last year, but we turned the ball over 27 times inside the 3 yard line, so we were really better than you" ALL that is bologna. GUYS, whoever wins the game is the better team. PERIOD. In week 2, Smith Co. was better than LA. Now we will see if LA has improved. I happen to think that LA HAS. However, I CANNOT say that LA was better than Smith Co in week 2. If LA wins tonite, then I can say that LA is better than Smith Co. right NOW!!! If Smith Co wins then they are better!!! That is all that matters is the score. NOT how many time you turned the ball over inside the 1 yard line. Or how many yards you rushed for. ONLY the SCORE!!!!! GO HOG-EYE!!!!

The Wildcats are having an early Thanksgiving this year and we have decided to have OWL on the menu for friday night. Its going to be a big feast for LA!!! Hog-Eye 14 Smith Co. 6

I was just sitting here thinking about the game friday and I realized that LA has won 18 of their last 19 games (i think) dating back to last season. I believe that LA went on a 6 or 7 game winning streak last year at the end and this year has won 11 of 12. Man now that is an awsome percentage. The only loss during this span is to SMITH Co.!!! Now this is FATE!! This is something.!!! WOW. This game now has much more significance. GO HOG-EYE!!!

This game will be great! Hope the LA faithful show up cause I was a little dissappointed at the showing for trousdale. What will it take to win? Good offensive and defensive line play. ESPECIALLY, no false starts or encroachments! Killed us last time! But I know that we will be better prepared this time. GO HOG-EYE!!! What about it, 02wildcat?

I never said that Vaughn and Colson could beat Smith's whole team!! I was just replying to an earlier post that asked Who everyone though has better running backs, LA or Smith. I know that there are 11 players on the field, I played football for 11 years. Do you guys think that RUDY will be there?

Oh let me clear this up!! If I were picking on who I wanted on my team that I was starting tomorrow and it was between Vaughn, Colson, Dyer, and Wilmore. Then I would take Vaughn and Colson without even thinking about it. Like you said I am sure that Smith Co fans would take Wilmore and Dyer. What a great game this will be friday. And by the way I would throw in Cates, Bond, Melton, Hunter, Burkett, and some others too because they all play with HEART and thats what I would want on my football team. GO HOG-EYE!!!

Man I agree with you 100%. That is what makes this region the best in the whole state of Tennessee. And I don't care who knows it!!!

If you are talking about just this season, then I will say that Vaughn and Colson are better. If you are talking about this season and last season combined then you must go with Wilmore, i mean how can you argue with his stats from last year. GO HOG-EYE!!!
